What is it about?
Mario and friends needs to help save 7 fairies all over the Mushroom kingdom

What did I liked?
The ability to move all over the map. It is a fully 3D environment 
The powerups are awesome. Cat suit, fire flower, boomerang and tanooki suit 
Extra power blocks. Coins, propellers and lights
Each stages is an adventure of itself. It is so much fun
If you die lots of time. You like the special tanooki suit.  

What I didn't liked?
This game is super hard at the end stages. You'll die a lot. I don't understand how to play this game with 3 other players
The stars are so hard to find. You really need to have the cat suit to go everywhere

Status: Finish the game with 171 stars 

Fun Factor: A very fun Mario game. Not the best. But it serve its purpose.

Man I thought I was going to win for sure. I was have a good zen moment. But alas today was also not my lucky day. It wasn't H1 lucky day either. It was H2 lucky day with winning 3 in a row. Which makes the current score of

Weekly Review (Week 21)

 May 21 🙂😊

Today we need to go to my mom in laws house to sign a bank form. My in laws are doing good. I cook some fried rice in the morning but they didn’t like it that much. So before we left form mom house we got some McDonald’s for the girls. They seem to like that. I got a massive translation job. 7000 words in 2 days. So I stayed up until close to midnight to do it. Went to sleep around 1. At night my mom in law called and say that my brother in law is not feeling well

May 22 🙂😓

Well today is a stressful day. My mom called and said my brother in law has a high fever and they suspect it covid. So he needs to get himself tested. We are quiet stressed because just visited her yesterday. So while we waited for his results. I continued on my work. My wife made lunch today. Baked macaroni. It was good and in the evening I made some fajitas. Beef and chicken fajitas to be exact. Overall I've been getting lots of call from my mom in law because she is stress which in turn makes me stress. Not a good day today.

May 23 😊🥰

Today the cleaner is back from a second day of scrubbing. This time we clean H2 room. Which is filled with junked. 3 loads of plastic of junk. I got a called from my mom in law saying that my brother in law is positive with covid. Which means that my mom and dad in law needs to be tested. The test came back negative. But they need to stay indoors for 2 weeks until my brother symptoms cleared. I got lunch outside and cook some curry in the evening. Oh my mom gave me a list to do from my brother in law. But the are going to make an even tighter lockdown starting on tuesday. So I don't know how I am going to help.

Back to school for today and back to work. Today I did nothing much. Just cook some curry and relaxed and play some games. Overall it was a good day.

May 25 😅😓

Today in the morning I had a fight with my wife. And the rest of the day it was spend me and her in separate parts of the house. My mom called and ask me to go to the bank. So I had an errand to run. I made some chicken and fried fish for dinner. It was good. Finished Jedi Fallen order and now it’s a a month of Mario

Well yesterday we had a fight. Today is better. Today the girls don’t want rice. So I made fried noodles for the adults and spaghetti for the girls. Watch more tv. My cleaner called and said that she doesn’t want to work for us anymore. And my mom in law called asking me to order food for my brother in law. Talked to my best friend. Overall it was good day

May 27 😊🥰

Today H1 is fasting so I woke up extra early to get her food ready. After that I went to sleep again. Mom called. She was worried that I didn't answer the phone. I told her I was sleeping. After that my wife ordered some fruit which I need to pick up later. I made some fried rice with the leftover food from yesterday. In the evening H1 wanted some fried rice from her favorite shop. So after picking up the fruit and went for groceries, I went to send some fruit to my mom. At night played some Mario and then went to bed. Overall it is an awesome day. Tiring of course.

Final check of high school friends

So my this is my last post of my school friends. So what happen to them. Well I am still in touch with 50% of them. My classmates from my school they all grew up to be successful in their field. Most of them are IT engineers and a couple followed their dream and work in the movie industry (I kid you not). We have  a group text chain on the phone. We also get together once a year to just hang out and check up on each other. They say I haven't change. Which is good I guess. I think my high school experience was okay even with the bullies and such. My friends even thought I wasn't that close. Helps makes the days bearable but I am glad that it is almost over

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

Well I can say this it one great Star Wars game

What it is it about?
Between episode 3 and 4. Follow a young padawan in his journey to find out the truth about the fallen order 

What I liked?
Gameplay is fun. You can to use the lightsaber to swish badguys 
The platforming section is fun plus you get to use force powers 
BD-1 is a character in it self 
The customizations, from what you wear, lightsabers, the mantis, BD-1. Everything is customizable 
The story is interesting 
The map. It looks confusing but you won't be lost. You'll end up at where do you need to be 
The final scene is epic 

What I didn't like?
The combat is fun but if you lower down the difficulty to the easiest. The game utilize the block and parry system and you need to be familiar with that system. The problem is it makes the game frustrating. But once you lower the difficulty to the lowest setting. It became a better game in my book
Losing force powers. It has a bar which is very annoying 
The platforming is not precise. You'll fall a lot 
Swimming sucks 

Status: Finish the game until the end credits 

Fun Factor: Well it an awesome game. Should be played if you love star wars 

Army of the Dead

This is a videogame ass movie

What it is about?
Las Vegas has quarantine by zombies. A group of people is going to pull out a heist

The Good
The action is good. Lots of shooting 
The zombies are a mix bag 
The starting scene I like a lot 

The Bad
Really all the characters are bland and the motive of the bad guy really is just boring"
The motivation of other characters are also bland.  You don't feel for anyone. Even the main character. 

The Ugly
Nothing much. Is it an enjoyable popcorn  movie 

After credit: No, but a sequel is probably inbound 

Verdict: A mindless movie. Fun 

Well now I am stressed

So I found out that my brother in law got covid. And he is really stressing my mom in law out. Really I pity her and the people in the house I’m not helping. In the end I need to put on double duty to help her. Just feeling stressed out

The ending is just ended. Like they run out of film

Weekly Review (Week 20)

 May 14 😊☺️

Today is the second day Eid. So I talked to my best friend. Ate. Play games with the girls. Ate some more. And went to the toilet 4 times. Good times 😅. The girls didn’t want to eat anymore Eid food so they wanted me to get McDonald’s. In the evening just watch a movie and then go to sleep.

May 15 😊🥰

Today is Saturday. I didn’t do anything much. Just ate food. Play games and watch tv. In the evening I got some Thai food from the mall. They are not following the sop in the mall which is super frustrating.

Today I spend the day playing my ps5. Finishing Avatar. Watching Die Hard 3. And in the evening went to get some food from a friend. Overall it was a good day.

Today I decided to clean the back part of the house. After that went to do some groceries. Came back and cooked some beef with rice and egg. The girls love them. Ended the day with playing some knack and watching some die hard.

Today I got to do some translation work but it turns out that the program locked me out. So I can’t do it. I cooked some porridge and some chicken. Wife didn’t feel well. She was hurting and it turns out that she a infection which is causing her kidneys to be inflamed. It was a tiring day

Today I didn’t feel like cooking. So I went to check what’s in the freezer. Spend time playing games and watching tv. Today the cases 6000+ cases. It’s going to get a lot worse before it’s going to get better. I’m scared for all my front liner friends.

May 20 😊😢

Today the cleaners is coming and the house really needs to be cleaned. I bought some breakfast for the girls and then proceed to play some games, read books. It rained in the evening and there were people coming to fix the roof. I went to get sushi for dinner and played games with my best friend. Slept feeling sad. No idea why

I can drive

So when I am 17 I finally got my drivers license. I train with an old manual car. What is manual you ask kids. Its basically the stick in the middle but you need to change it every time you go fast. So I got to drive my mom Honda Accord. Not the current car that I usually drive but an older one. The thing is the car that I train with is a small car. The Honda is 3 times the size. So I am still not sure of the spacing for the car. That means that I keep hitting the car into things. Let's see. I hit other cars, the gate, some pillars among other things. The best part is that mom was not at home. So I used the cash I have to fix it for repairs. Overall in time I got better at driving. Now have close to 200000km under my belt. I love driving... it gives me a time to think. 

Knack

I love hate this game

Genre: Action

What is it about?
IT a story about Knack a sentient cube that grows bigger by sucking other cubes

What I liked?
Gameplay is straightforward and easy. Go from point A to B 
Knack is awesome when he gets bigger and bad guys seems easier to handle 
A lot of elemental cubes such as Ice, metal, wood, and glass 
Power moves that helps to take care of enemies.

The story.. even though the acting is a bit stiff. It is still an interesting one 

What I didn't liked?
The game is super frustrating. When you die you get sent back to the original starting point

Knack is practically useless when he is small
The game really makes the sucking cube thing a gimmick that really doesn't do anything much. It is all preprogramed to get bigger in time

The bad guys are cheap shots and you really need to study it pattern

The final boss is really a drag

Status: Finish the game until the end credits 

Fun Factor: Played it once just because I need to know what happen.. A game can be avoidable 

Live Free or Die Hard

This movie is not bad. Die hard apparently has 4 great movies 

What is it about?
Hackers took over the entire country and its up to McClane to stop it 

The Good
The action never stops
The story is simple enough to understand 
The bad guy is memorable 

The Bad
The ending is quite anti climactic 
They really need to show what happens after the ending 

The Ugly
I heard that the fifth movie was bad

Verdict: An enjoyable popcorn movie 

Die Hard With a Vengeance

I think this is the best of all the series 

What is it about?
John Mcclane now has to save the whole New York from a terrorist 

The Good
The story is easy to understand 
The riddles are not that complicated but yet so awesome to do 
You have the whole of New York city to play around 

The Bad
The pacing sucks. Suddenly it switches areas 

The Ugly

Verdict: Awesome movie. Must watch 

Die Hard 2

Die Hard but in an airport

What is it about?
John Mcclane is back but this time he is at an airport

The Good 
There is a lot of backstory now 
There are some action bits followed by a lot of exposition

The Bad
The story is a bit too convoluted with a lot of plot points trying to be tied out in the end 
Some action scene I have to have a sense of disbelief.  
Seriously, are the cops just dumb in every action movie 

The Ugly 
Bad guys who take too long in killing everyone

Verdict: The first one is better 

Die Hard

Now I can see why this movie is a classic 

What is it about?
A cop was at the wrong building at the wrong time 

The Good
Action is non stop.
This movie still holds up. The only problem I can see is they can't make a remake of this movie because nowdays everyone has cellphones 
Lots of gore 
The hero gets hurt over time 
Alan Rickman. RIP

The Bad
Really that is not how the FBI should acted
I feel that everyone outside seems like they don't know what they are doing

Raya The Last Dragon

This is an awesome animated movie 

What is it about?
A girl called Raya needs to go on a quest to save the world from evil spirits 

The Good
The movie is just awesome. They explained the beginning well 
Each characters are given enough screen time to see what is their backstory is about
Akwafina is funny and yet sometimes annoying. 
The movie will leave you guessing until the end 

The Bad
Nothing much. I really enjoyed this movie. I just wish they showed what happens after 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: One of the best movies I watched this year

May 7 😊🥰 (Ramadan Day 25) 

Today I made white spaghetti as H2 call it. I also made something special call stuffed potato scallops. It was so yummy that I only got one slice and everyone got seconds. I got 2 translation jobs. It was suppose to be 3 but I had some software issues. Covid cases are going up so everyone here is not taking it seriously. 

May 8 😅😊 (Ramadan Day 26)

Today I didn’t feel like cooking so we order KFC. I did work from morning till evening. My best friend is not feeling well. Hopefully they will recover soon. Covid cases are up again. And we are running out of space. I don’t want us to become the next India. 

May 9 😊🙂 (Ramadan Day 27)

Today made some curry chicken with a Mediterranean salad. Other that that is just relaxing at home doing nothing much. Very uneventful day 

May 10 😊😞 (Ramadan Day 28)

Today send patches to the vet. Had to go the long way to avoid the roadblocks. He had an allergic reaction due to the lilies we had. Made some carrot rice. But I had noodles instead. My best friend and I talked and just aired out of grievances with each other. It sucks. Oh and the government just announced full nationwide lockdown

Today I didn’t want to cook so we takeaway at my favourite burger joint. But I did have a lot of work to do. So the day was spend doing that. Today was the last day of doing Terawih prayers. I got my lemang and gave some rendang to my best friend. It was an awesome and tiring day.

Last day of Ramadan. After morning breakfast. Went to sleep and then just relax. Got a lot of delivery of food. Got a cake from my best friend. Got cookies from my other friend. Got some food from my wife’s friend and mother in law. After iftar had some cake and cookies. Great day 

May 13 😊🥰

Today is Eid!!!! Finally. Even though lockdown we to celebrate with style. First I got my food that I ordered from the hotel. They gave us, chicken rendang, beef dendeng, lontong, lemang and ketupat, satay and snacks. My neighbors gave us some tomato rice, lemang and cake. I do have a lot of groundnut gravy. I really love raya food. So we ate. Slept... ate some more and then ate some more. Talked to our love ones via zoom. In the evening played some switch with the girls and watch a movie with them. Overall it was an awesome Eid .

Recipe Day 18

Fried vegetables 

Ingredients 
Any kind of vegetables. Wash and dried 
Lots of garlic 
Oyster sauce 

How to cook
High flame. Put in veggies for 2 mintutes. Add garlic. Another minute and add oyster sauce. Don't stop stirring. And you're done.

Nasi lemak 

Ingredients 

Rice 
Lemongrass
Pandan Leaves 
Coconut milk 
Water

How to cook 
Wash rice. Add rice in rice cooker. Add 1 box of coconut milk. Water. Lemongrass scar it at the tip. Add pandan leaves. Salt. And you're done.

This movie is so ahead of it's time

What is it about?
In a world where cartoons are real. A detective needs to solve a mystery

Animation is solid
The movie makes much sense when you watch it as an adult

The Bad guy motivation is dumb
There is no backstory at all. And yet we need to understand what happen before

So we are in lockdown

So the government just announced that we are in full lockdown for one month. I’m glad because honestly my country is filled with self absorb idiots. They are not thinking about the doctors and nurses who are working so hard to stop the infection from spreading. So at least for a month of lockdown we can curb the virus

What is it about?

The story is simple enough 
I though it was the girl from stranger things. But it was just her 80's doppelganger
I like the ending
It is cool to have an awesome friend like that

Okay.... you lost your child and there isn't a manhunt for the guy who kidnapped your child. No sketch artist

Uno 10th game

At first I didn’t want to play but for the girls. I’ll say why not. It was a close game where all of us won 2 times. But in the end H1 became victorious. They didn’t up the ante and said if they won by end of the year the want a gift. I have decided on what I want

Apr 30 😞😐 (Ramadan Day 18) 

Today I want to make some Nasi Lemak and fried chicken with egg. I took Callie for her second shot for her flu. My wife was pissed at me for not doing a grand gesture for our anniversary. Honestly I ran out of ideas. I don’t know what to do... sigh. I miss my best friend but they said that 

May 1 (Ramadan Day 19) 

So today is Labour day. So it is going to be an easy day for me. Just slacking in the room doing nothing. In the evening I didn't feel like cooking. So I bought some Chinese Food at the shop. Also bought some donuts and cakes. Overall it was an uneventful day. Oh I got a new translation job to do 

May 2 (Ramadan Day 20) 

Today I decided to cook some soup and curry. I also made some potato balls which are delicious. After that I went out to get some sweet for break fast. When I was driving by I got a call by my best friend. We got to talk for a while which is nice. Wife friend came down and gave us some food. So we have a lot of extra food for today. My oven was faulty... After changing the blub it turns out it was just the fuse  of the main circuit breaker. So hopefully it doesn't happen again. 

May 3 😊🥰 (Ramadan Day 21)

Today I didn’t have to cook but I decided to cook some fried egg and veggies anyway. I bought some treats and the day was spent just read the Quran and relaxing. 

May 4 😊😓 (Ramadan Day 22) 

Today I really don’t feel like cooking so we got korean from our favorite shop. Besides that I got to spend time with my best friend just talking about their work. I finished watching Resident Alien and I love it. Can’t wait for season 2. Oh and the government announced that we are under MCO. So we are officially locked down start tomorrow till May 17. So no eid for us 

May 5 😊🤤 (Ramandan Day 23)

So H1 has been pestering me to go to the Italian restaurant for some lasagna. So I decided to takes things to my own hands and make my own Lasagna. So I took 1kg of beef, lots of tomato, did some sauce. And then it turn out awesome. H1 was so happy that she help and cleaned the whole house just to show thanks. Other than that I made pie but it didn't set well. We got a new multicooker and the aircond guy came to clean the house

May 6 😓🥰 (Ramadan Day 24) 

Today I cook something new which is chicken rendang. I have never made it before and I didn't know there was a lot of component into making the dish. I think for the first time It went well. Other than that it was a normal day. I am been reading a lot about the crisis in India and it super scary. Lockdown has started today but from the looks of it, it is business like normal. I don't know weather I want to try to go to my mom in law house or not. 

The Death of Superman Lives "What Happened"

 A very interesting documentary 

What is it about?
In 1997 there was a Superman movie starring Nicholas Cage and Directed by Tim Burton that almost happened. Here is the story 

What I liked?
A lot of test footage that shows what was going to happen 
A lot of behind the scene on what goes on in making a movie. I wish more documentary like this 

What I didn't liked?
Nothing much. It's a documentary. Usually there nothing not to like about it

Recipe Day 16

Apple Pie 


Ingredients 
8 Green apple 
Shortbread pastery 
3 tablespoon of all purpose flour 
1/2 cup of white sugar 
1/2 cup of brown sugar 
100ml of water 
Half a stick of butter

How to cook
Cut the apple into cubes. Add butter. Once melted add flour, sugar, brown sugar and water and bring it to heat. Once its heated pour in a pie tray. Put shortbread on the bottom, apple cubes, syrup, and close with another shortbread pastery. Heat up oven 180 for 20 mins. Serve

 Garlic Bread

Ingredients 
1 loaf of french bread or any soft bread cut into small shapes 
200g butter
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Salt
Pepper
Parsley 
Paprika  
Olive Oil
One whole garlic (of course) 

How to cook 
Take a whole garlic and salt and pepper with olive oil. Set the oven at 230c and bake for 20 mins. Add butter (room temp) mayo, pepper, salt, parsley and mix. Add the garlic and mash it with the mixture. Get the bread and spread it all over and baked 180c for 30 minute or until golden brown. Serve

Recipe Day 14

Mushroom soup 

Ingredients 
1kg mushrooms of all kinds 
400ml of cooking cream
Salt 
Pepper 
1 Onion 
300g of butter 
1 liter Vegetable stock (or water)
Chicken cube 

How to cook 
Put butter in and onions. Once onion is brown Sauté all the mushroom until soft. Add vegetable stock and chicken cube. Simmer and add salt. After a while add some cooking cream and serve.

What is it about?
A young an upcoming broker wants to impress a whale by doing things that are illegal 

The Good
The movie is easy to understand 
The stocks part is fun to watch
It all comes down to family

The Bad
The girl character is no needed 
The plot at the end really fast forward. Is like they finish flim 

The Ugly
I wonder how stocks work actually? Do they have internet during the 80s
