A dark thriller 

Drinking: Is always the issue. I think if the main character didn't drink too much. All this stuff wouldn't have been too bad for her

The mystery: It won't be known until the last 2 episodes.

Great ending: Yup. It sets up season 2 perfectly.

Verdict: I like it. The ending is weird but I like it still 

Violent Night

A new hero is born 

What is it about?
During Christmas Eve a family is held hostage. Is up to Santa to save them.

The Good 
The action is gory and top notch 
Is funny in some parts. 
There is even a homage to home alone 

The Bad
The backstory of Santa isn't explain quite well
The ending is good but I wish it was better

Nothing much

Verdict: A great watch. 

The Good Doctor Season 5

Being autistic doesn't mean its over

Plot: Case, 1st solve didn't work, 2nd solve didn't work, 3rd solve will work. In between throw in the life story of the episode as a human side 

The big event: This season Shawn and Lea are going to get married. That was a rollercoaster ride

Ending: Mix bag. Great ending but there was a finale that was just brought in the last 3 episodes

Verdict: Season 6 is in the bag. So can't wait

Superman and Lois Season 2

Best Superman adaption to date

Why is this great: This series shows Superman as human more than anything else. The format of the show is long, it's not a bad guy type of the week situation but you still get to see Superman in action 

This season's bad guy: Bizzaro

Bombshell: This show is not part of the Arrowverse. Basically this is another reality which sucks since I wanted cameo from other characters 

Ending: Great with no cliffhangers 

Lyle, Lyle Crocodile

A feel good movie 

What is it about?
A family moved to a new house and was surprised when they have a singing crocodile as a house guest 

The Good
Catchy songs and I think some of them are original songs 
This is a typical kids movie 

The Bad
Really no one is going to acknowledge the crocodile can only sing but not talk
Which part of New York these movies are filmed in. They always look so clean 

The Ugly
Nothing much. Its a kids movie, so treat it as such

Verdict: If you love musical, you should watch it 

Shrinking

I found my new favorite comedy 

Why is this show is awesome: It deals about grief and how to overcome them. Plus the writing is brilliant and the jokes land even if they try not to be funny 

Harrison Ford: Who knew this guy is funny as heck. Never seen him on TV before

Turns out: It was made from the character of Scrubs. No wonder the writing is funny 

Season 2: Confirmed. Can't wait. It did end it a weird cliffhanger thing

Legion of Super Heroes

A new DC Animated story arc 

What is it about?
Supergirl goes to the future to train with the Legion of Super-Heroes

The Good
Animation and action is top notch 
Love the story where there is a bigger mystery a foot 

The Bad
The Justice League only have like a 5 minute cameo 

The Ugly

Nothing much 

After Credits: Yes, but we don't know where it is going to happen. Sets up another story

Verdict: If you love DC, is a must watch 

Marvel Snap

I really thought that this game will last me 5 years

Sitting down right now I am thinking what I am going to write about this game. This game that consume my entire waking life for 7 months. My family was annoyed at me because that's all I was doing on my phone. The word "SNAP!!!" keeps on playing every time I have a good hand and thinking I can win only the be bamboozled at the last minute with their better card choices (sometimes I get the upper hand as well). Winning provides a dopamine rush and losing gives the same effect but on the frustrating side. 

This game basically a card game where each card represent a mainstream or obscure Marvel character that I

haven't heard before that provides an ability (weather On reveal or Ongoing or none) that helps you win the game. The objective of the game is easy there are three locations each with its own set of rules and you need to win 2/3 locations by playing the card is a specific way.

Since this a free to play (f2p) mobile game you can play with cards that are given to you. The cards that are given to you mostly all of the other players have. In order to be different then the rest of the pack you need to either grind or pay to win (p2w) in order to get newer cards which provides abilities that can either make or break the game. For example Galactus which was my favorite card for 4 months that will
destroy the two other locations and wrecks havoc in the opponents gameplay. The problem with that card is that it cost 6000 tokens which translate to 2 months of grinding or $100 of real money.

What I liked about this game. There is a lot. The sudden rush of winning a game. The effects of each card. Even leveling up a card making it more stylish also provides a rush of excitement in this lizard brain of mine. Every chime and colorful colors make me more excited to play again and again. Sometimes I can finish hours just
snapping again and again. I could start at level 70 and 2 hours later still be at level 70 after going as high as 78.  But as any mobile game the developers need to tweak and change in order to balance the game so that it won't seem broken and where people will only use one deck on and on again. Yesterday one famous card called Wave (which effects will make all cards 4 cost but works well with others lower cost reducing card that will make using her part of the meta) which effects a meta (the ability to win or lose with the combination of cards) has been nerf. That means you can no longer perform a combo move when you use her. Because of this a lot of players started to complain that Second Dinner (the developer) is destroying the game. But that usually what happens every time a buff or a nerf happen so that is already expected. 

So what made me hard quit? The way I describe the game is more like a dopamine rush and I could play this game forever. But that's it. Sometimes you release that a game stop being fun and what you doing is actually a chore. You wake up everyday to finish the daily missions in order to collect credits to give you the ability to level up and rinse and repeat. After a while I found that most of the opponents that I am facing are playing almost the same deck. Is like you can anticipate what they are going to do next since there are not that many combinations of decks you can play. So you mostly know what they are going to do. Plus the RNG (Random Number Generator) where each card is assigned to you randomly makes winning is not just a game of skill it is always a game of luck. If you are lucky you can choreograph an epic game that makes you win and sometimes the card you need is not coming out which makes you lose. After a while this card game became to repetitive and honestly not fun. So today I deleted the game and say goodbye to this game. I will still consume this game but this time just via YouTube since there are a lot of awesome content creators that have all the money to buy all the cards. Just fun watching them play. 

I finish this game with CL 5470 and have spend a good $100 in the 7 months I've played this. I am glad I got the opportunity to play this awesome game but I am also glad that I am out of it because there are more awesome games that I want to play. This is my longest review I have done and I am giving this game a S-Rank. This game will be in my top 10 games of the year due to how much is sucked me in. I take it positively and negatively as well. All is good 

Leverage Redemption Season 2

The team is back 

Why Leverage is the best show of all time: Is it a heist show, you can watch this and feel good about yourself where the bad guys are actually the good guys 

One of the best episodes: Where they are not even in it that much. They plan behind the scene while the actual people try to solve the case 

Is not the same: While Hardison only comes in a handful of episodes and only one camera. I still feel that without him the show is not complete 

Season 3? I hope there is like 5 more seasons of this. This type of show must not end with others are ending one thing we can count one is Leverage to always be there.

So far this week has been shitty

Its only Thursday and so far this week has been not a good one. So let's start with H2 is sick. Which gotten bad day by day. After that me and my best friend had an argument which we settled but things have changed and it is going to take a while to recover. After that Coldplay tickets went online for sale and me and my other best friend tried to secure some tickets. We queued for 4 hours virtually only to discover that the tickets are fully sold out. Searching twitter I found that most of them buy the tickets with bots. The next day we tried again and also failed. My other friend got in. So lucky them. I feel miserable so I just wanted to be alone. H1 also gotten sick and H2 accidentally took wife blood pressure medication. So overall it Thursday and things are not that great. The only good news is that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is here and I am enjoying it a lot.  

La Brea Season 2

This is a weird kind of science fiction 

So: I thought the show is like lost. But this more like lost with time travel built into it. So this story is super confusing

Everyone there: Seems to not be freak out being out there. 10,000 BC doesn't look too scary. It looks very vibrant 

Cliffhanger: The cliffhanger shows that being lost in time is not going to be a big deal and there is a new big bad guy in the horizon.

Verdict: It's not the best show I've watched but I'm already committed 

Disenchanted

The first movie was better

What is it about?
Years after the first movie and Gisselle is navigating life and its challenges

The returning characters are still fun 
There are some nice songs

The movie is just for the sake of making a movie. They really don't have to do it

Nothing much, I did enjoy the movie

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

The band is back for one final performance

What is it about?
The guardians are back and this time they need to hurry to save one of their friends 

The Good
It 2 hours plus with no filler. It was a non stop ride from the start. 
Each Guardian has time to shine. 
Rocket is the star of this show. His story comes full circle
A lot of funny moments
Everyone had an ending or a new beginning  

The Bad
Nothing much. This movie is a perfect. I wish it was more 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: One of the best comic book movies this year

Sega Rally Championship

Game is fun arcade port

I have this game on the pc way back then and I thought that this is the best arcade game ever. But after playing it again this year. This game is really a rip off. This game only have 3 tracks. And that's it. That is the game. 3 tracks. The ripoff in my mind is that the game has a timer. I get it is the design of games during that time because it is just an arcade port. I don't see how to win this game since the timer makes it impossible to get first place. I did manage however to finish the game with 5 place which I think that is the best going to be for me. Overall this game is a C Rank. You can play it once but after that you will get bored of it 

Metroid Prime Remastered

The game is great. The design is not

I've played this game 20 years ago on the gamecube. When I played it last time I thought this was the best game ever. But fast forward 20 years later I find that the game is still great but there are a lot of fundamentals that makes this game a chore to play. 

Metroid Prime is Samus first foray to 3D. Basically you explore a planet and all you

abilities are removed and you slowly get them to proceed to another place until you have enough to proceed more. The difference between the 2D version (which I love) than the 3D version is that you have different visors to scan and check the surroundings which provides a different way to play it. Jumping feels good and its forgiving when if you hit the edge of the platform. The morph ball is fun to use.

The problem of this game is that it is stuck in 2002 design. You don't have a checkpoint which in 2023 is really not good. The reason why I quit the game is I died and have to restart all the way 40 minutes of the game. That is really frustrating. The map doesn't
have a waypoint system which you end up exploring and getting lost in the expanse map. The backtracking doesn't feel that much fun 

Overall I love this game, I was about to beat it but I think I got bored of going through the same corridor again and again. Unlike Castlevania where you are leveling up every time you hit the enemy. Over here you are trying to avoid them as fast as possible just to get to the next place. I give this game a B Rank. I have other games to play  

Black Adam

My weight loss journey

So after Eid I ate too much and I actually gained. 1kg+. So I think it's time for me to try to lose weight the proper way. My goal is too lose my belly before my 40th birthday. I am not going to do crazy exercise and clean eating. I find that doing everything too hard will cause me to crash and burn and binge eat later. So this time I am going to keep it simple. Intermittent fasting (eating only from 12-8pm). Walking 10,000 steps a day. That's all. I am not changing my diet but I will try to eat less food with transfat. So this is my first weig in. I will check back next month and see how I am going on

Criminal Minds Evolution

 They are back. Better than ever

This is technically season 16: 3 years after the series finale ended and they are back. A lot has change but the group remains the same. They are short 2 people but here hoping they will be back  (season 2 is confirmed) 

Cases: I like this structure. A big overall case with small cases per episode. Which makes you invested in the overall story 

Cliffhanger ending? Yeah which I don't get... I hope they don't continue the same bad guy. 

Ticket to Paradise

George Clooney and Julia Roberts never disappoint

What is it about?
Two parents who hate each other try to stop their daughter in making her biggest mistake

Bali is beautiful 
It has it funny moments but it's not too funny 
There is always an animal joke
