Inside Out

Just finished watching this awesome movie. Came with a short about a volcano. The movie was great overall. It really dives in the mind of a person. Though I believe it's missing a couple of emotions that comes when you get older.  I wish that they didn't make the emotions went for the adventure.i rather they learn from experience. But I guess they need to do that so the emotions could learn. Love the adult emotions. That's epically funny.

A Recoil action game

What's good:

- the sniper gun

- stages 

What's bad:

- you need to be very precise to time your shot

- frustratingly difficult after dying the umpteenth time.

Status: Stuck at a part in world 3 and then I saw screw it... Life too short for a game that I can't win

Super Exploding Zoo

This game gets bored to fast 

Genre: Puzzle

Platform: PS Vita

What's good:

- exploding  animals

- challenging puzzles

What's bad:

- timer

- repetitive game play

Status: Finish the first world and calling it... Bored. Even there are more animals that I haven't unlocked

Day 87: Just when I thought I was home free

Suddenly the boss slaps me with another tender... What the fudge indeed. This time working with another sales rep. Unlike the previous one where is methodical and thorough. This one have no clue on how to a tender. So basically is the blind leading the blind. Well this weekend is Independence Day. So it's a long weekend. Maybe thinking of extending it...

Day 86: My boss is awesome

I can't stress imenough how awesome my boss is. Make me want to work harder to make the team look good. He gave me the day off after I finish my work for today. Which in the end is awesome...

Day 85: I'm back at the office

I forgot to post yesterday. So I am back in the office. Yesterday was full steam trying to finish the tender that is surprisingly due today. After dinner of greasy pizza we plough through. At 11pm we called it a day and head home. There is still some work due today. Pity the boss who only has 3 hours of sleep...

Day 84: Some days are just too hectic

Today besides catching the tender. I had a training I needed to attend to while juggling work at the same time. Man... Tomorrow is going to be the last day of that project. Hopefully I can go home early 

The Man From U.N.C.L.E

This is more of the origin story on how the the team from UNCLE got started. It stars a cool CIA agent. A hot headed KGB agent and a British Spy. Action wise. The movie has a decent amount. The starting chase scene was great. The storyline was great but felt draggy at the last act. The bad guy was charismatic enough but I didn't care for him/her that much. Overall good experience but worth seeing once

Day 83: Its my Birthday

Go me... It's my birthday. I'm going to party like... It's my birthday. But sadly today is business as usual for me. Had coconut shake for lunch, that was cool. Had. A boring meeting from abroad. Man that was damn boring... But in the end told my boss it was my birthday and he gave me a handshake.

Platform: PS Vita

The good:

- 2.5D art style 

- cell shading

- gameplay is quite interesting

- weapons

- random level generator (it's basically two levels)

The bad:

- after the first 2 hours is the same thing again and again. It gets pretty repetitive 

- janky cover system

Status: Finish the game in Day 14. Stop the missiles from launching to the moon.

Story: 

It turns out Nightcrawler died somewhere in the comics (who can keep track nowadays). He was living in heaven until the x-men comes and safe the day. What follows are a couple of short story. One of them features spider-man and his amazing friends iceman and firestar. That was epic since it involves a goat and a baby. After that there was stories involving Wendigo. That was epic since the avengers were there. Finally it ended with the rise of The Juggernaut. Too bad the comic end on that note

Overall:

Great book. But it's a book that needs to be read with other books. The events takes places after War of the Atom past the Death of Wolverine and Axis. Need get those comics in.

Day 82: Half day, full work

Got a family emergency I had to attend to so the boss gave me half day to day. He is an awesome boss. Anyway, is quite sad when we see inter office issues when dealing with a client. That's just bad business. If the person wanted that project they should have just said so. They are just probably doing this shitty thing because of spite. Who knows 

Day 81: I'm starting to get comfortable

I am still 2 months away from conformation but I am already getting comfortable at my position. Which is kinda of a good and bad thing. The good thing is that I treat everyone like I know them for years. They also treat me like an old friend. The bad thing is I am getting too comfortable with my job. Yet things could change any moment. Oh yeah... And today there was a marathon at the city. Various organizations send in their representatives to run a 5km track around the city... On a weekday...

Day 80: Free Money

Work as usual for me today. Kinda busy than usual. Around 2.30 got an announcement on the email that we are getting a money packet for Eid (even the month Eid is already done). Me and my colleague was the first on the scene. The COO cracked a joke gave us the money. Less than 3 mins a swarm of people from my office came down to collect their free money. My COO grabbed the bag and went inside his office. Now everybody is waiting in line like waiting for free food. Awesome...

Today there is going to be an Eid celebration for all the office staff. My HR lady wanted me to be the emcee for the event. Due to the nature of talking to a crowd. I opt out. Which made her quite upset. I did make it up by helping her packed up. After the event went for a meeting. The aircond was right on my face... Damn it's cold

The good:

- Better than before 

- Secondary weapons + Supers 

- Multiple levels with obstacles

- Some of the  levels are damn hard 

- Those green thingys, arrow thingys, blue thingys basically all of thingys are out to get you

Day 78: Monday blues

Man... Starting work after a weekend is tough. Today work was at a slow pace. But I pulled through. I notice I only spend 6 hours per day working. Which is good for my standards. Hopefully tomorrow will fare better. I do know for a fact tomorrow will be better since it's the annual Eid celebration lunch. Free food with friends. Yum...

Day 77: Love feeling useful

Today workload is basically assisting others so their work could go smoother. Which is awesome in my book since if they look good I feel good. Left at 5 since on Friday the city becomes a madhouse. Weekend ahead... Woot

Day 76: So that's how a fax machine work

Love it when there is stuff to do. So today I have no complaints. Got a couple meetings that I attended. Got a task to fax some important documents. Makes me wonder why do people use faxes. Probably cause there is a signature involve. Hope all goes well

- the twin stick calibration on vita sucks. There is no option to change it

- didn't quite understand why it takes 9 stages for the fish and the bird to be together. The story is more to interpretation.

Status: Finish all nine lifetimes. A couple of hours

Yay... I got another tender to do. But this time is just one small part which is good that doing a whole part of the report. Great day today. A bit hot though.

Story: 

An evil group call The Inheritors who survive by eating Spider-Man essence goes on a mission of ending every Spider-Man from every different multiverse (the main marvel comic is from Earth-616. So there is Earth-001 till Earth-999999). So it's up to Spider-Man to gather all of the Spider Man, Women, Animals, Ghost, Robots, Cars (yep got a spidey mobile) to stop the Inheritors. According to the wiki there is close to 200+ Spider-Men

The story is pretty straightforward. It is easy to pickup just as long you don't ask too many questions. The multiverse is amazing. There are a lot of universes that are just damn fun to read. There is even a  Marvel vs Capcom universe.

Overall: One of the best Spidey tales to date. It has everything you want for a Spider-Man comic. Getting close to Secret Wars, we will probably meet these Spiders again

Day 74: Yay, something to do

Came to office, shared an elevator with my boss. Got good insides on a project. One of our partners came to the office and gave us a briefing on how to sell the product. We got a zomg when he told us the price was in the tens of thousands. Oh well... At least lunch was free. In the evening I got assigned to help in a tender. Menial job but for me is still a job that has to be done. Rained heavily today... Traffic was a buzzkill 

Day 73: Always have something to do

It's getting challenging to keep myself preoccupied at work when there is nothing much to do on my part. Everyone say don't find work but let work find you. I'll give it till Wednesday and then I'll go bug my boss 

Hawkeye Vol 4

I'm thinking about starting something new. So now aside from games I'm going to write about the new stuff I've been reading. So enjoy...

Comic: Hawkeye Vol 4.

Issues: 22 including 1 Annual

Story:

In a nutshell, it tells the story about Clint Barton aka Hawkeye. Not the Cinematic Universe Hawkeye but the comic Hawkeye where he is an Avenger by day and a normal guy by night.

The main story is about how the apartment building that he lives get some mob problems. Hawkeye saves the day at the beginning and as usual the bad guys fight back. Along side him we are joined by Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) and Barney Barton (also Hawkeye and brother to Clint) and lucky the pizza dog. 

What I liked:

- Storyline

- Simplistic covers and art (there is one issue where the point of view is from the dog)

What I didn't liked:

- No closure. There are like a couple of plot points but in the one got resolve (maybe two)

- Kate Bishop left original Hawkeye to go to LA. That didn't work.

Overall great book. Vol 5 is out but probably 2 more years it will be done 

Rayman Legends

Rayman is back...

Platform: PS Vita

Genre: Platformer

The Good:

- Variety of stages 

- The running sequence is awesome (better than sonic) they should really work on sonic

- multiple characters. But is more of the same but with different skins 

- it's bundled with Rayman Origins (2 for the price of one)

The Bad

- The touchscreen sucks. Murph stages are hard to control 

Status: 317/700 lums. Still got one more stage to finish. All bosses beaten.

Day 72: Work from home

Since KL has become a racetrack. I got permission to work from home. Which is super awesome. Get to work on the bed. I wonder if they provide beds in the office everyone will be more efficient or just fall asleep. Had lunch with my colleague which is always awesome.

Day 71: My chair went AWOL on me

Everything was good. Minding my own business, the suddenly my chair tilted the opposite way. That was so annoying. I am more confused that how did that happen since it was ok 3 months ago. Got a different chair but it has a wheel problem. Need to see if I can a better chair after this. I see a mission impossible coming.

Woke up this morning with a bad dream. I dreamt I was in a meeting and they were questioning what I did. I do think I am doing work. Maybe not that much work for now. But it's a learning experience. 

Today working from home since the city centre is converted into a race track. Hell am I going to go there and stay hours in the jam.

Day 70: Great day working

Today everything went well. Lunch was filling and great. Work was there. Well is better than no work. Good day altogether

Day 69: I'm quite slow

It's probably that I didn't have enough training and experience about the products in the company. But yesterday's meeting was a doozy. Didn't quite get what are they trying to do until 30 mins in. Good thing I got slides so I am still in the process of studying them. Besides that... Got another open house in the company yesterday.. So free food... 

Day 68: Business as usual

Well... Everything is back to normal. Hopefully. The lesson to learn here kids is always check your work even though Is not yours to begin with. Weather has been gloomy today. Hopefully tomorrow fare better. Nite 

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation

As the poster shows up there. This is the best action movie of this year. Tom Cruise does all his stunts. The hanging from a plan looks redonkulus. For a 54 year old he doesn't look that old. The plot is a bit bland and the main villain doesn't pack enough of a punch. The ending was a bit flat like there is nothing blowing up in the end like in the past movies. Overall fun experience. The review will not self destruct in 5 sec
