What's is it about:

I've played this game multiple times when I was a kid. Who doesn't want to play as Ultraman. This game is about all the classic Ultraman characters, like Ace, Taro, Seven, Leo went to save the earth. All that's left is the youngest ultraman who doesn't have that much powers. When the rest of the ultra family was captured. It's up to him to save the day

Gameplay consist of:

- Kicking and punching

- Power switching

- Boss fighting

- Flying

What I liked: 

- The stages are well varied

- You fight all the bosses from past Ultraman show

- 4 different type of powers. 

- The Ending... Its awesome.

What I didn't Liked:

- The platforming is a bit precise. 

- Ultraman is a bit heavy 

Status: Played 1 stage and youtube the rest

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II

The best nes game to be played for two

Genre: Action

Platform: NES

What's is it about:

TMNT baseed on the arcade game. The only difference is you can't play with 4 players. The NES limitation allows for only 2 players. 

Gameplay consist of:

- Fighting

- Walking to the right 

What I liked: 

- The fighting is fun

- Variety of enemies

- Boss Fights 

What I didn't Liked:

- The constant repetition. Once you played one stage is basically the same thing over and over again. 

Status: Played 2 stages and youtube the rest. There is 1500 enemies on screen until the end. 

Score: Its fun for co-op but bored if you play alone. 

Day 349: Now that's encouraging

Well come to the office today and told my HR lady on what had happen. So after that we have a discussion of my future. Long story short. If she doesn't see any changes on my TEAM not ME. I think I need to be reassigned a different position. That sucks. Since I love my team. So today I had a babysitter from a different organisation who comes and visiting me. He main purpose was just to hang out and see if we need help in doing anything. I didn't quite like it... So I ditch him later and he went away.

Day 348: An unexpected turn of events

Yesterday I was all set to go for the meeting with our client at 230. When I received a called at 11:00 am from my wife saying that her mother was slipped and had a skull fracture and is in the hospital. My team was... "go go" you can drop this. I told them that I have a meeting at 230. So what did was rushed to my house to pick up my wife and kids. Rush to my mom in laws place and rush to the meeting. The meeting was until 4. After that I could rest for a while and have something to eat. I was so tired yesterday.

Day 347: My officemate is gone

The only noteworthy thing that happened on Monday is the person that I use to hang out with next to me has left the company to join the parent company. I am going to miss her. We both always joke around about stuff. Well the back row is getting more and more lonelier by the day. Yesterday I had lunch alone since I was going to the post office. I really don't mind having lunch all by myself. It is quite refreshing. My wife and I were saying find something in you job that makes you happy. I come to think of it, everything in this job makes me happy. Love the people, the place, the work. The only biggest thing that is dragging me down is all the bureaucratic nonsense saying that I am not doing my job well enough. Oh well.. There can't be all pros...

Jak 3

The last game which in my opinion is the best

Genre: Action

First Played: 2004 (PS2)

What's is it about:

The story continues with new environment and a dessert now.

Gameplay consist of:

- Jumping

- Fighting

- Platforming

- Shooting 

- Vehicle jacking

- Racing 

- Upgrading Weapons

- Escort missions

- Puzzle solving

- Skating

- Evolving into Dark Jak

- Evolving into Light Jak

- Car Combat

- Dessert Exploration

What I liked: 

- The storyline and voiceover is great. More cutscenes

- The stages are well crafted 

- No load times

- The city is big and you rarely feel lost

- The bikes handle well

- The dessert has more challenges

- The dessert cars has a mad max feel to it

- The weapon is just one weapon with 4 different transformations

- Skate returns but not as much .

- 12 different weapons to choose from.

- Game is not as hard as before 

- Ending was awesome

What I didn't Liked:

- The game gets hard as nail after mission 59. I do notice these stages are relatively short. But the intense difficult makes the game a bit longer.

- The cars handles good but physic are like jelly. Car jerks around to much.

- Need to collect precursor orbs to upgrade weapons and cars. Which extend the game time but its very tedious. 

Vita port (what's wrong with it)

- Framerate is stable. (30 Fps)

- The L2, L3 and R3, R2 button are mapped at the back which makes you accidentally hit it by accident. 

Status: Played until the last 8 mission. After dying for the 50th time. Just youtube it until the end credit. It still counts 

Score: A rare gem, worth to be played once (but not on Vita)

Rollergames

This game bring back memories. I am going on the record and saying that all NES games are hard as nails

Genre: Action

Platform: NES

What's is it about:

Roller derby groups race around the tri-state area to beat the evil bad guy. You get to choose from a Fat guy, A fast girl and an all rounder girl. 

Gameplay consist of:

- Rollerblading

- Fighting

- Avoiding obstacles

- Having precision style reflexes 

What I liked: 

- The stages are cool enough

- Fighting is great

- Each skater has their own signature move and feel to it

What I didn't Liked:

- This game is super hard. And I not talking there is a lot of enemies hard. The enemy count is quite acceptable but controlling a skater with a 4 directional pad is difficult. 

Status: Played 10 minutes and youtube the rest. The game is about 30 mins long

Score: You'll end up rage quitting unless you have precision reflexes. 

Day 346: Pay day Happy day

After talking it out with the missus and finding that I need to be less spoil and more proactive. I decided to just do my work properly and try not to complain that much. So today Friday is a happy day. No. 1) My whole team is on leave or probably out and about. So I am all alone to do what I want. No 2) I finally send my headphone to claim for warranty and I also got my new headphone after that I claim warranty from. No 3) Is pay day.. So money time. No 4) Got to spend the whole day with H2 and ate some pizza and ice cream which is awesome... No 5) ITS FRIDAY... 2 days off and I'm back on Monday

Day 345: I suck

The third day and I still feel down. They are saying management is watching me and I should be doing work. You know something. I really don't care. I do my work and I have no complaints. I think they complain because they see me too relaxed. But really... This job is not the end of me. It takes close to 345 days to realized that is not the end of the world if I lose my job. The funny thing is that H1 says that they won't fire me. I probably won't get my bonus. I think if that happens I know how my company thinks of me. 

Day 344: My laptop is busted... again

After yesterday discouraging posts. I decided to brush it off and just do as much work as I can. Whatever happens, I am ok with it. Today is an ok busy day. The meeting went without a hitch. Even my workflow also was surprisingly good. Today news comes to me of my busted LCD laptop screen. Apparently liquid broke out so now there is a black spot at the edge of the screen. It is driving me nuts but the tech guy says that as long you can still work in it. I won't replace it yet. I hold the most records for broken laptops... Which is awesome.. I guess.

Day 343: Well that's discouraging

Yesterday nothing out of the ordinary until 4:00pm where my boss call me for my yearly KPI review. Basically everything I've put in there, he was ok with. But then he gave me the talk... He says that I am not doing much work as the rest of my teammates. Which I find odd since last year he assigned this to me and needs me to do 100% of it. He said that I need to be more proactive and do more work like the rest of my team. So next year I have to ask CK for his work since he looks overwork. Well sometimes he does. I think that's the problem. They never see you do work but when you are not doing work they will notice How do I feel? A bit discourage... I think it's time to reevaluate my career move.

Day 342: Trade show day

Yesterday I had a trade show to attend to since one of the products is the product that I am in charge in. So I had to wear our corporate shirt and go and sell some stuff

Stuff that happen that day

1) The parking was a circle up to 8 floor. Going left until 8 floor is very dizzying

2) In the morning is me with TJ. And it turns out that most people are interested in getting the free stuff rather than getting to know about the product.

3) I didn't had lunch at the event. Me and TJ went to the mall which was located in the hotel. It was a hotel with a mall which most hotels are now.

4) I hang out with DY the marketing intern from aborad. She was a fun girl to talk too. I pity her since doing this trade shows does take a toll on you

5) In the evening TJ went home and we were joined by ZR and LS. They were fun as well.

6) By 530 we packed up and went home. I was so beat up cause of all the standing and talking

7) Most people that came to the trade show are trying to sell us stuff rather we are selling them stuff.

Was it fun... quite. Will I go again... No.

Darkwing Duck

Its that time again.. To dust my Sheild and play a some retro games. We begin by playing an old classic...

Genre: Platformer

Platform: NES

What's is it about:

Based on the cartoon Darkwing Duck (you either too young to remember it or too old to forgotten about it) 

Gameplay consist of:

- Shooting

- Jumping 

- Avoiding 

What I liked: 

- No structure in gameplay. You can pick and stages you want. It's 3 + 3 + 1

- The weapons are cool

- His cape can repel projectiles.

What I didn't Liked:

- The reason why NES games only last 1 hour is because... ITS FREAKING HARD. The way they do it is by pushing a lot of enemies on screen and you need precision timing to avoid it. 

- The gameplay lack variety.

Score: You'll be bored after 2 hours.

Day 341: Last day of work for the week

I really should stop blogging too late. This was for last Tuesday. I had a couple more stuff to handle before I took a 3 day medical leave. I had a meeting in the evening and then it rained so bad that I we all had to wait 30 minutes before the rain subsided. Tomorrow is monday and work is going to be at a hotel today. I need to help marketing team doing something which I don't know yet.

Day 340: Great Monday

This Monday came to the office and the best part there were no sales meeting. So read some emails and found out that I need to prepare something for that evening's meeting. So I quickly prepared the comparison and TJ just read the email. He said to me we need to prepare the comparison. After that I did something cool. I slammed a piece of paper on his desk detailing the stuff he needs. He laughed... After that he said we need a proposal ready before this evening... I slammed another thing at his desk when he was talking. The proposal is done. He that "that how you add value to the company"... That's a great thing to hear in the morning. Too bad that nobody else seems to think that...

Genre: Adventure

Platform: PS Vita

What's is it about:

A girl who lost his family and severed his hand travel to underworld to located them.

Gameplay consist of:

- Hand swiping. The hand is the sword. Short swipes for small damage. Long swipes for high damage. Charged swipes for powerful damage.

- Exploring 

- Puzzle solving

- Metroidvania. 

What I liked: 

- The story is interesting 

- There are 7 different variants of enemies each different ways to kill them

- The upgrade system and crafting 

What I didn't Liked:

- The enemies spawns to fast. Gets harder in the end

- The cloud boots doesn't seem to work. Or the timer in those boot makes it hard to fight 

- The bosses are hard as nails

Status: Finish the story till the end credits.

Score: Worth to be played at least once.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Spider-Man, Spider-Man does what ever a console Spider-Man...

Genre: Action 

Platform: PS Vita

What's is it about:

Follows the events after the first Amazing Spider-Man movie. Follows a new villain but old friends and enemies  

Gameplay consist of:

- Web swinging around New York

- Combat

- Stealth

- Puzzle Solving

- Fetch catching 

What I liked: 

- The story is interesting enough to follow till the end. 

- Web swinging around New York is damn satisfying

- Active dynamic combat works and doesn't work. It is a mixed bag.  

- Web rush mode makes it easy to stop time.

- Unlimited webbing.

What I didn't Liked:

- Stealth sucks.. Sometime it works, sometime it doesn't

- The dynamic clothing gets torn off when you get hit too much. In then you'll be 60% naked

- Fetch quest get tedious.

- Spider-Man is not that strong. Get's shots easily.

Status: Finish all 12 chapters until the 13th chapter. Considered it done

Score: Great way to waste time. 

Day 339: Last day of the week

All my jobs are done. Everything for this week is dusted. It rained liked crazy in the city at 2. So I decided to end my day at 330. See you on Monday 

Day 338: Hat trick of a good week

The third day of everything is just ok and nothing eventual happen. That what I considered a good day. Where no one bothers me doing work. So yesterday I was still doing another report. During lunch H1 and H2 invited me for lunch at a far away place.  But I decided to opt out. Low and behold, my HR lady invite some of the team to go eat fish head curry at a cool place. We drove there, ate yummy food and I didn't have to pay cent for it. Awesome...

Day 337: We are 2 for 2

Yesterday start work at 10:00am with a meeting. Parking at the place of the meeting was so hard so every one of us have to park at different location and wait for VH  to pick us up. The meeting was awesome and I think I killed the presentation. Went back to the office for lunch and found out the whole team was not here. It turns out the boss has a training at a hotel so that means is free period time. So cleared my email and went home. Today I am going to do actual work.

Day 336: Lucky day today

Today on Tuesday I have a lot of things going on. First I had to prepare for the presentation that is going to happen in the evening. At 11 we have a briefing on why did we change our corporate imsge. There are a lot of buzzwords in it. After that there was a deepavali luncheon. The luncheon was awesome. Free and great food. At 1 I made my way to the client side to give the presentation. Good thing I ask my boss to double check my work. There were some parts it in that I was not supposed to revealed. That means I have time to take it out. I did notice there was an error during presentation. But it was a good thing that no one else noticed it. Overall it was a good day.

Oh yeah.. The office that I went to is a like a collectors paradise. Every action figure is there. Iron man was up the wazoo

Day 335: 2 down 1 more to go

Friday is upon us and I am usually very lazy on a Friday. But due to the hyper ninja report that is due next week I was on overload mode. I didn't stop clicking and compiling the report. At least I managed to get 2 down. I have one more in the books but I think I'll do it next week. I'm on leave tomorrow so another day of holiday. 

Jack Reacher Never Go Back

This movie is just designed for any Tom Cruise fan. The movie is a long drama about a cover-up  in the military.  It's a good watch but the only gripe I have in the movie is the introduction of the kid in the middle. The kid in the movie is a plot point that serve as a way to extend the movie by another 30 mins. Seriously if the kid was not there, the movie will still make sense. It would end 30 min faster and Jack Reacher doesn't have to run around chasing her. I think the kid was there as stakes. If there were no stakes the movie would just seems to be less humanize. Overall is a good popcorn movie which starts off slow but finishes off even slower?

Day 334: So there is such thing as a free lunch

So today I have tonnes of work that I need to complete. Report after report that I need to submit. The problem is all of the reports are due by next week. So for lunch the friends decided to go to myburgerlab. Well since I had nothing important due (haha) I said why not. We left at 12 and timed everything perfectly. Arrived there and ordered our food. 35 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. I came to the counter and say what happen to our order. Why it took so long. It turns out they have missed our order so what did they do... They refunded our money. So we got a free lunch and our money back. My friends were happy and I was happy as well. Great day

Came back home and got a text for my good work on the report. Well that made my day. One more day before the long weekend.

Day 333: We got new stuff

3 more days until our corporate re branding happens. This means all the old stationary, logos and colors has to be changed. So yesterday we got a goodie bag with all the new items. Stuff that I got were 2 collared t-shirts (one black and one white). A corporate shirt with my named written on the sheet (not sure if I want to wear that in public) and a black jacket. There is also an lanyard (which is white where the previous one is black) given. We were told not to wear them until next week. So its good for them to head to the wash.

Day 332: Today we got tea

On Tuesday work was as usual. Still waiting for emails to be replied so that's annoying. That evening we were treated to tea by the boss and staff. Has curry puff which was nice and a donut which I was forced to eat. 

Day 331: Half day to coz it's a birthday

Yesterday 31st October is the birthday of my beautiful sweetheart. My 5 year old daughter. She wants to go celebrate to the whole family asked me to take a half day off. I really am not keen to use up my holiday time but it's for family so its a good thing. Took her to MidValley and let the kids play in the playground. Then took her to dinner. It was an awesome day. I hope we can celebrate their birthday until their like in their 30s.

In work related news, my boss is back (he was supposed to be on leave) So he gave me a gift from Australia. That was cool.

Doctor Strange

The next new superhero origin story that Marvel has churn out. It turns out this may be one of best origin story Marvel has put out. The reason why Marvel movies are knocking it out of the park is that their movies have heart into them. Nothing is taken to seriously and there is humor in the middle. That said this movie follows the simple plot of any origin story. Arrogant Hero -> something bad -> tried his best to find a solution -> train -> fight the bad guy -> End. Simple plot and it works. The effects of this movie is out of this world. It's something out of a kaleidoscope. Everything can be manipulated and he looks cool while doing it. Best Marvel movie to end the year.
