Day 401: Another day of doing nothing. (T - 24)

What to do when you have nothing to do. Go and bug everyone else. Came to the office yesterday and  CK ask if he can treat me for lunch. Its not I don't like CK  but I don't see us having common things to talk about. Good thing I found RJ around. So I ask him to tag along.I notice bringing at least 2 people for lunch you can have a lot of things to talk about

Was great. Took a selfie. Ate Olio with lots of clams, Chicken Mushroomm Pizza, Fish and Chips and Nachos. Drank Fruit punch. Topic of conversation is mostly how people in the office are treated unfairly and all the kpi is not justified. They all are quite weird on how I know so much, I said I just ask people around and they just tell me things.

In the evening I was talking to DI and then suddenly I got a pat in the back from someone. He was being emotional saying that I didn't tell him I was leaving. I manage to deflect the issue and said that I wanted to see him personally. Oh well... shit happens. Today is Friday.. .W00t.

Day 400: Still have meetings (T - 25)

Yesterday I have one of the clients that we manage to close the deal (close to half a million I might add) called for a pre kick off meeting. So it was TI, VH and me. When I arrived on the scene TI just parked her car. After we both we walking towards the entrance suddenly we hear a large bang. A car just hit another car in the parking lot. Since both of us were looking. The driver decided to stop and look at the damage.

We went for the meeting and everything went as planned. Nothing out of the ordinary. VH was offered a my position from my Boss. He said he was waiting for the right salary offer then he will think of jumping. I said that just be careful and don't get short change as me.

In the evening one of the accounting managers, SH called for a meeting. She and 2 more of her colleagues are planning to go to NZ and wanting my advice on what to do. That was a fun laid back meeting.

Day 399: Very mellow day of work (T -26)

First of the T-26 is due to the fact I had 2 days of medical leave so that counts as 2 days off. Well today nothing much happen. Everybody seems to be doing all their own thing so I use that time to attend some big data lectures. Since I really have nothing much do to so might as well use the time wisely. I got a meeting in the evening and left at 4.30. Most of the stories will be like this. I am kind of bumped out that non of my close friends want to treat me goodbye with their bonus money. I think they are scared that I use it for lobsters...

When did I get bored?

Not really. I treat the movie more like the breakfast club. If the title of Power Rangers is not in the movie. The movie will be a great character movie.

Where it didn't do it for me?

The fate of the world rest in Krispie Kreme. The mention the donut shop multiple time. Even the bad guy had a chance to eat at that establishment which I find wired and Krispie Kreme must pay them a lot of moolah to put their product placement there.
No megazord transformation
The putty army are just rocks which doesn't have the same impact as humans.

Why did I watch this movie?
There was really nothing to watch at the movie. Really wanting a good action movie.
Naomi Scott looks awesome.
Anything Brian Cranston is in is also awesome.

Good for a download. Nothing missed if you wait a couple of months. 

Day 398: I don't remember what I did (T-29)

Really... It's probably because I don't care... And I love it. Seriously... What did I do on Wednesday??? Well the good news is I'm off for 2 days... Probably final leave before I'm gone 

Day 397: School Holiday so that means I am early (T - 30)

Yesterday (Tuesday) I came early to work since the kids are not at school. The thing is that on Monday I had to take emergency leave (probably won't record that) for my sick kid. Besides that, nothing much happen when I was here at the office. did a couple of emails and that's about it. Got to know how much bonus people are getting. Which is cool for them and sucks for me... Oh well, 'rezeki' (good fortune) is not with me.

Day 396: Left crazy early and still got tuck in the jam (T - 31)

Friday last week didn't felt like working to much so I finished part of my work and went fro Friday Prayers. Usually had lunch that day but since my wife wanted to have lunch at a later time, i decided to have lunch with her. Left the office at 3 and since it's friday the crazy jam made me reach back home close to 415pm. Well another week scratch off. 1 more month left.

Day 395: People are starting to act up (T - 32)

Got to the office and found out that I got scolded (mind you when I was not around) for my incompetence. But the truth of the matter is that is their incompetence of not understanding what does my product do. After looking around the product I and VH figured out the package they need is not available for the current product or the better version of it. It was their (clients) responsibility to inform us of the issue. Now when we find it during implementation phase its kind of sucks... But whatever.. just keep it cool for another 32 days. The final month of I am here the more people are acting like asses... I think I am going to be an ass to but a subtle one.

Day 394: Didn't feel like working (T - 33)

Yesterday was a lazy wednesday... But I did feel faint since it was so hot... Hopefully today will fare better

I am doing a new blog

Well its been a slow month for me. Not watching series since the maid is no longer here and I have to be a dad again and by evening I am damn tired. No new games in the horizon since I am still in Real Racing 3 mode (again). Which I think is going to be my game until I get bored of it. Besides me quitting I am pursuing my masters in Big Data Analytics so I decided to do a blog on more on a how-to to record my escapades in masters. Plus it will be a handy tool for me to have to review it.

The only problem is that I don't know what to call it.

Day 393: It takes 5 people to my job??? The F**k (T - 34)

Well yesterday I continue to break the news to a couple of more my colleagues that I am leaving. The funny thing is everyone seems to be happy that I am leaving. It turns out they are happy that I could leave the bloodsucking company since most of them have commitments which makes them tether to this soul sucking place.

In the evening we had our team meeting (probably final) about the 2017 sales meeting presentation that is going to be held on 22nd March. The boss made the announcement that I am leaving and who wants to take over my job. Everyone refused bluntly that they don't want to do it. I was like WTF man. Boss was trying to convince them that he is already hiring 2 new staff and one of them has experience doing what I am currently doing. So this will be temporary. So they finally decided on

The more I list this the more absurd it sounds. It takes 5 people to do what I do and they say I am not doing enough work... Well the reap what the sow... I am glad that I am going to be leaving. So what I need to do is conduct 5 different classes for 5 people.. this is the most crazy handover I have ever done.

On the other note... boss I think has skip his 5 stages of grief and now on to acceptance. So he seems happy and not being a jerk. That means I can just be back to normal again...

Day 392: The countdown begins (T - 35 days)

So Monday was here so after taking to the HR. I have 2 options

1) Do use my leave and my last day will be on 28th April
2) Use my leave and my last day will be on 8th May

Either way I have 35 working days left. So enjoy every last day of it. I tried to get out for the Thailand trip coming up in April but not sure if I can do that. We'll see how it goes. I've already hand over my marketing duties to our Marketing Manager. So that part is done. Today there is a team meeting so I am going to ask the boss who is going to take over my chunk of the workload. It is going to be a interesting conversation.

Day 391: That was unexpected

Today is the day. Today is the first day for the n next 60 days. I finally gave my letter of resignation. It was long overdue. After not taking it personally and need to do some initiative. I decided it was time to move on. My boss was busy with meeting and when he steps out of the meeting room and gave my letter. In my mind there were a couple of things that he is going to say 

Scenarios 

"Can we talk about this?"

"Is there anyway I can ask you to stay" 

"Let's see how can we improve you"

Mostly something positive. 

The real thing that happen

Me: " here is my 2 months notice"

Boss: "why?"

Me: " I am planning to do my masters"

Boss: " Is this because you got a 2"

Me: "Part of it yes but I think it's time for me to move on"

Boss: (This is the kicker) " you know why you got a 2 right. Because your work is not to my standards" 

I was flabbergasted. Shocked and kinda lost for words. It's like he has a vendetta against me leaving. Then I said ok and left. But telling my friends they were shocked that my boss said that. It's like he was saving that for ever and just eating for the right moment to blurt it out.

Oh well. That shows Allah is great and showed me that this is what is going to happen if I stayed longer...

I felt happy. The first time in 390 days. I felt like a burden has been lifted. Now it's my honeymoon days... Great days

Day 390: Missed by a lot, appreciated by none

Well yesterday is my first day back after a long 26 days hospitalization leave. Came back to the office and everyone is in open arms welcoming me back. I spend the better part of yesterday cleaning up my 600+ email which is still not settled yet. Had the heart to heart talk with ZN on what to do with my future. Apparently he made it clear what is the right decision. Its like I never left.
