Metroid Dread

After years we got a 2D Metroid and it is fantastic

What is it about?
The 5th installment of the Metroid saga. It is the final game in the long Metroid story 

What did I liked?
The graphics is amazing 
The game is standard Metroid but with a twist. This time you are being hunted by killer robots.

It doesn't tell you where to go but you don't feel lost. When you feel trapped it just takes a hidden block to discover to move you forward
Bosses are hard and fast. You'll die a lot. But it is different from being frustrating. It teaches you what are the sequences for the bosses that makes it such satisfying when you beat it. 

You start of without any powers but slowly you build up your suit until you become super powerful. The feeling you get when you can go anywhere is just awesome 

The story is good it does tie up some loose ends here and there, I don't seem to understand it that much.

Power bombs are awesome 

Controls are smooth as butter 

What I didn't liked?
This is just my gripe. Some of the puzzle requires pinpoint precision to get the item. I don't have that much dexterity.

The map. You can just explore a whole section there are pathways to go through which makes it tedious. It is a good thing that at the end all the transporters are unlocked

Fun Factor: I think the is one of the best games I've played this year. Definitely game of the year list
