A really entertaining B grade movie 

What is it about?
When there is a breach in goverment. Its up to the President of the USA and the British Prime Minister to stop it 

The Good
The action is way over the top in a good way
There are a lot of funny scenes that sticks the landing
The story is so out of bounds sometimes that I think they know that they are making a joke out of it

The Bad
Even over the top action, there are some unbelievable moments 
They can cut some parts of the story. It is a bit too long 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: An enjoyable movie. Can watch in streaming 

Scandal Season 1

Lets do another boxset 

What is it about? Oliva Pope is a fixer. She can solve any problems. Nothing is to be or small for her team to help. Her team is a bunch of lawyers and a tech guy I think 

This season: A White house aid (oh she used to work for the white house) had an affair with the president (who is also having an affair with Olivia long ago) is pregnant with his baby and this season whole story is focusing on this big cases with small cases in between 

So far: I am enjoy this season. 7 episodes but they were 7 good episodes. There is a lot of mystery, drama and intrigue. You don't know what is going to happen next 

Ending: It ends in a cliffhanger that is not that big. Next season is going to be a full 22 episodes. 

Week 30: Mom got lifetime achievement award

This week my mom has been celebrated for her lifetime achivement award in her field of pathology. Seeing her getting the award makes me feel so proud and also makes me think that Iwould never accomplish anything. Well it is good to see that my family are all great achievers

Jul 20

• After class I went back to pick up mom from the kampung. Had a light lunch before heading back home 

• Did classes. Cook some curry chicken. 

• In the evening help H1 fill in some forms 

Jul 21 memorable

• At 9am went to the hotel with mom. She has her lifetime acheivement award that is given to her peers

• We arrived at 10am and had a light breakfast. I was ushered to the VIP area. Met one of the guest of another receipient. We talked while waiting for the guest of honor to arrive. 

• Once my mom arrive in the hall at 11am they then sit on top of the stage. They then proceed to tell my mom accolades. I am really at awe by her. She deserve everything that is given to her. People who ask what do you I are very interested in my job. Which I liked

• After that we ate a fancy bento lunch which consist of fried rice, lemon chicken and kailan

• Send my mom back to her hotel and then I when to pick up H2 and wife at the office. 

• H2 is fasting today and wants some mcdonalds. I just ate some leftovers. 

Jul 22

• Helped wife to set up her mini pc in the office. After that went to do some groceries.

• Cooked some soy chicken 

• In the evening pick up the cleaner and got ready to go to the city. Since mom and I had a dinner at a fancy hotel 

• I park at mom hotel and took a ride share to the other hotel. There we were seated with our previous guest from yesterday. The food was amazing. They had everything from local delights, Indian and western. As well as soup and a big dessert table.

• They played some and there was a show while we eat. After 10 we went home. I arrived at 11 and then had to send the cleaner back and got home at around 12 

Jul 23 

• After classes today brought wife and H2 to the doctors. Wife had follow up appointment. This time I wasn't invited inside since she wanted to complain about me 

• After that we  went to the mall to have some youg tau fu. We ended the day with some ice cream

• At dinner time the girls want some Mcdonalds. Mom came back in the evening

Jul 24

 • Mom said just buy food rather than cook.

 • Went to the lawyer office to get the house grant  

 • Wife is on leave so she is resting throughout the day 

 • H2 is fasting today 

Jul 25

 • Went back to my kampung to sing the documents to change the land deed. It turns out if it was given I only need to pay 10 bucks in taxes

 • H2 called saying that the house has no electricty. It turns out someone hit the electric pole and it cause a good 6 hours without power

 • Came back home and took H2 for lunch 

 • In the evening wife came back with H1 and we got ready and went to the movie. I manage to get H2 missing puzzle pieces 

 • Went and had some korean fried chicken and watch fantastic four (4/5) 

Jul 26

 • Today is not a great day for me. First got annoyed with mom. She wants to treat H1 for her birthday but she has a budget. So I and wife choose not to go so she could just bring the girls 

 • 2nd got annoyed at wife. First she got upset with me because she wants to do something next morning but I need to send mom to the hotel. 2nd she got upset because the garderner cut the wrong tree. It wasn't my fault. 

 • 3rd. This has been 9 days since my friend hasn't talk to me. I think I was just lied too. You know when you think someone is everything but they don't really care about you. It is just frustrating for me. I am healing. The thing is we are still friends but that what we are. Transactional friends. If they don't need me. They won't talk to me. I am okay with that. Allah probably wanted to show me what you think is true probably is just your brain playing tricks on you. Good news is that I have other friends to talk to, so there is no loss in that. I do believe that, there will open be another door open if one is close.

 • Had leftover for lunch and H2 brought some cookies and I got some cream puffs for H1

Next week we will start with H1 birthday. Other than that I have nothing on. Just a another normal week. But this week I am going to try to do as much classes as I can. I don't think I can play games anymore. Sigh

The Godfather

Finally watch this classic 

What is it about?
The story about one of the Don family of New York 

The Good 

I've seen soem famous scene of the movie (mostly from family guy) so I know what I was expecting 

The story is very intersting and it is quite long 

The Bad
The story is too long. You can probably trim an hour of this movie it can still make sense

The ending is open ended. Not sure what will happen next 

The Ugly
Nothing much. This movie is really a classic

Verdict: Can watch at least once  

Week 29: Uncle past away

This week has been a tiring week I think. With the passing of my uncle (90). Navigating life challenges and trying to lose weight at the same time. I don't know. I didn't like this week that much. I still haven't finished Star Wars...  Sigh

• Made claypot chicken rice 

• Help H1 do some scholarships. We need to do a lot more. 

Jun 14

• H1 doesn't have any classes today. But she has a therapist appointment at 11. After seeing the therapist we went to her favourite fried chicken. I love her so much and I don't know how many times I have with her. 

• H2 went to work with wife and after lunch we brought some chicken to wife's office to eat. 

• Still have a lot of work to do, not sure if I have the time to do it.

• Wife got a lot of work today so she came home late

• Got a lot of things done. Cooked some chicken buritto 

• Mom text saying that my uncle (mom oldest brother) is really sick. My brother is here in the city so tomorrow we are going to see him 

Jun 16

• After sending wife to work did classes

• Cooked some curry pasta 

• Brother came at 1pm and we made our way back to our hometown. Stopping by for lunch. We talked about a lot of stuff. But nothing too substantial. Just normal things that guys talk about 

• Came to see my uncle, he was looking quite bad. The doctors say there is nothing they can do for him. We gave him something to eat and talk a while with my cousin.

• Coming back home he let me drive his big car. It was nice. After that she left and wife came back home with her car

• After that I had to send wife car back to H1 at the library 

Jun 17

• Wife took my car because she was late getting ready and I have class 

• I did a lot of classes and I also have time to exercise. Having no car means I have time to do other things.

• At 3pm wife came back and we went to the mall to have some korean food

• Ordered some missing puzzle pieces for H2 puzzle and H2 bought her sister some birthday gifts 

Jun 18 (Death, unmemorable)

• Got some sad news that my uncle that we went to visit that day has sadly past away. He past away at 9am and mom said she is taking an emergecy flight here and will be arriving at 4pm 

• I cooked some fried rice for lunch 

• After 330pm I went to fetch my mom from the airport. The mood was not as somber. I cracked some jokes. We talked about a lot of things.

• We arrived by 540pm and the funeral is alreaedy on the way. Mom didn't get to see her. I got to see all my cousins. After it was done we went to my uncle house to have some dinner. We talked about my uncle who past away, other things. Ate a lot of kampung food. 

• After 8pm send mom to her kampung house. She decided to stay 2 days because next week she can't come home next week. After sending her I drove back home. I manage to talk to my best friends so the drive wasn't that bored. 

• Came home and send the cleaner back home and come home and just past away on the bed. 

Jun 19

• Is a lazy Saturday for me. Promised to spend time with wife. So just hang out with her sleeping

• In the evening wanted to go to the park with H2. But there was so many people that we can't stopped there. We eventually just went out for dinner. 

• Watched Heads of States (5/5) with wife.

Next week will be a busy 4 days for me. I will be going everywhere for a lot of different things. Other than that nothing much is going on next week. We will see how it goes.

The Bear Season 3

The Bear is officially open for business

The Restaurant: To do a fine dining restaurant is brutal. The get a michelin star is even worse. The amount of food and work that has to be done makes me think that being a chef is really an unhappy job. 

The people: This season is more focus on Sydney since she has the ability to keep all her shit together even with the amount of pressure from the restaurant. Carmy seems to be out of focus this season since he keep on having PTSD flashbacks. I like Richie, he seems to get everything in order (sort of)" 

The Food: The food looks amazing but it was not showcase that much this season. The amount of food they wasted is criminal. Maybe you only can eat if the food is perfect 

In the end: They got a review and it turns out to be mixed. This is going to affect the bear going forward in season 4

Superman

The start of the DCU 

What is it about?

3 years after Superman was made known to the public, he is trying to stop the new threat to metropolis as well as taking car of his dog 

The Good 
This is how a Superman movie should be. Bright, Colourful and Funny. This movie has it all. I can't stop smiling 
Both David and Nicholas played perfect representation on their characters 

The side characters also have their time to shine. This is an ensable movie and Superman needs to work well with everyone 

The last 3 minutes of the movie 
Superman is not that strong which is great

The Bad
The reporters side story. It was okay but it could be avoided 

I wish Guy Gardener had more screen time 

Clark sucks a character 

The Ugly

Nothing much. A very great movie 

After Credits: 2 but nothing worth waiting for 

Verdict: A must watch, best superhero movie this year

Cobra Kai Season 6

A satisfying ending to the epic karate saga 

Karate is now global: The final season sees the Miyagi-do's going to Barcelona to compete in the Seikai Taikai (I can feel that is saw awkward saying this again and again). Now the kids from the valley have to fight with other fighters from across the world

Redemption: This season is actually divided in 3 parts (5 episodes each). Starts with the training... The competition in the middle and the grand finale in the end. Everyone has their arcs close and it was incredibly satisfying 

Extra budget: They brought in a 3D Miyagi this time in flashbacks. In a way this season honor him the most. 

In the end: This is the most amazing 6 season. It builds up to an amazing grand finale. If you want to watch a series. This is an amazing series to watch. 

BTS Map of the Soul ON:E

A concert that was made during the pandemic 

What is it about?
A BTS concert that only aired during the pandamic and they decided to show it again

The Good
Unlike the Taylor Swift concert which was recorded at a live venue. This was done inside a controlled studio with multiple different sets. Each set provides a different experince 
I like seeing them active and moving every. They never stop eventhough I don't know who is who. 

The Bad
Out of the 20 songs I only know 3. Most of them I don't even understand what they are saying. The funny thing is that they only translated the english parts which I find it funny
The transisitions are not that consistent which breaks the immersion 

The Ugly
Nothing much

After Credits: No

Verdict: If you are a fan of BTS, sure why not

The Acolyte

Stories of the first Sith 

What is it about? Started way way back in the galaxy far far away. Where the Jedi are part of the goverment system and they are peacekeepers of the galaxy. They are called to investigate when someone started murdering other Jedi 

Lightsabers: This show is not bad in terms of the action, there are a couple of great lightsaber fights. The story is interesting enough but they are few and far between. For Jedi they seem pretty weak against the Sith 

The story sucks: I mean it is okay. But there are a lot of holes in the plot. I think they are saving it for season 2 butthe show wasn't renewed so we will never know. 

In the end: Everyone died. The bad guys are whats left. It ends witha cameo from Yoda. I think this show can be avoided

Week 28: It is a good week.

This week has been a good week. Nothing much to report since just normal errands stuff. I was feeling a bit FOMO in getting the MCR tickets but then I realised that I only know like 4 songs. Good week today.

• Today is a lazy sunday. Everyone is asleep and then after class I help wife with some work 

• Ate some Nak Nak for lunch

• In the evening pick up mom and her friend from the airport

• Wife needs to use her car in the morning, so I went to fill up the car and then took it to the wash because it was so filthy. 

Jul 7

• Mom friend left the house in the morning

• Send mom to the airport at 10am 

• Brought stuff to cook my osyter soy chicken 

• Send H1 back to uni and she take wife car

• Pick up the cleaners and pick up wife. Classes and exercise as usual and send cleaners back at 1030pm

Jul 8

• Send wife to the office at 9

• Wife wanted to go for lunch but her meeting was too long so we went for early dinner at our favorite baker 

• I order the eggs flemenco while H2 ordered the carbonara 

Jul 9

• Wife needs to go to office early but I was late for my 830 class

• Bought some chicken for my dry curry chicken and veggie soup 

• Pick up wife and bought some fried banana 

• At midnight H1 called and she wasn’t feeling well. So I had to go to her uni to pick her up. Send her to the clinic. She has flu like symptoms. She is back to the house resting. 

Jun 10

• Today I need to send H2 to the doctor for her autism yearly checkup. As usual the doctor says she is doing well and there is nothing much to be concern about

• After the appointment we went to eat some sushi and I bought her a puzzle 

• Coming back did some classes, exercise and pick up wife 

• After that I need to sleep since at night we are going to watch a movie 

• At 930pm watch a BTS concert (3/5). The concert ended close to midnight. H1 was supposed to follow us but she was not feeling well so we found another wife student to replace hew

Jun 11

• Wife decided not to go to work holiday and just sleep the whole day. She deserve it after the whole week 

• Bought some food from outside 

• Today everyone wanted to get some My Chemical Romance tickets. They are an old classic group but due to many fans. A lot of fans can't get the ticket due to too many people bombarding the server. One of my friends didn't get the ticket. I am not that FOMO for this group, so I am okay

• Send H1 back to uni and she will take the car back home and send H2 for swimming. 

• Today I decided to dust back my VR. I need to try to find time to play games at least 30 minutes a day. 

• My best friend went to watch Superman and they love it. Can't wait for tomorrow

Jun 12

• Today H1 friend is coming to watch a movie with us. I ordered 2 Extra Large Pizzas for lunch 

• Went to the movie around 3pm. We are watching Superman (5/5) The movie is amazing. H1 has another friend joining in who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow 

• After the movie we all went to Chillis to have dinner and celebrate her friends birthday. The other friend brought their mom along so we talked with their mom while they went to eat. 

• We went home after sending the friend I went to pick up the cleaner.

F1

 Best movie so far this year 

What is it about?
Sonny Hayes is a old race driver got the chance to compete in F1

The Good
Cinematography is amazing. It feels like you are in the race. The movie director also made Top Gun Maverick 
The story is very fun to watch. We already know what is going to happen next but it is still a fun movie to watch.
Brad Pitt has all the charmed 
The race are giving me high heart rate 

The Bad
The movie is too long and the side story is not that important. They could trim it down 30 mins and it will still be a good movie.

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: Amaizng. Best movie of this year 

Cobra Kai Season 5

Finally the end is near 

In this season: Daniel has have helped . Johnny is trying to reconcile with his two sons and about to be a father. Cobra Kai influence is getting bigger and there is a new tournament in town

Character development: This season everyone had a lot of character development. But I think the most notable is Tory because she went from being a hated character to someone I like. Robbie and Miguel as well became brothers which is an awesome to see

Fighting: There are some notable fight and as usual it wouldn't be Cobra Kai with an epic last fight. This time with swords. and 1 vs 6 people and also an all out multiple brawl

In the end: With the aftermath. Next season will be the last season. It going to be great one.

Week 27 - Wife student had a sleepover

This week has been an awesome week with H2 just finish school. Wife students came for a 2 days sleepover and playing lot of gin rummy. To me watching some F1 and had a good day for myself. Overall it has been a great week

• Cleaner came by rideshare today 

• Wife woke up early and we went to the mamak for breakfast and did some errands 

• Bought lunch for the kids 

• Send H1 stuff to her dorm. She got a room in level 1. Looks better than before. Needs to be cleaned though

• Send cleaner back at 9. 

Jun 30

• Woke up H1 early so that we could pick up mom from the airport

• Had lunch with mom. She ordered a lot of food as well as some steamed fish

• Send H1 back to uni not before buying her a broom. Pick up H2 and send mom to her meeting place. 

• Cooked mee hoon soup

• Pick up wife and wife gave car to H1

With that we are at the halfway point of 2025. Jun has been a tiring month. It also has been a memorable month with me seeing my aunt for a mini vacation. Wife was down a couple of days but thanksful she is more energize for her new role in the company. Girls are doing fine with H1 on break and H2 on finals. Next month not sure what is goigng to happen that much since H2 is going to be on holiday. 

Jul 1

• Cooked some beef curry and made 4 batches of lasanga. Also cook some fried noodles from yesterday leftovers 

• Mom had to go for a meeting in the morning by rideshare. She came back just in time for lunch

• Mom friend came in the evening and we all had dinner together. They love the food and this is the first time mom really said she loves my cooking. 

• In the evening helped set up wife's pc using a cheat code that my best friend told me 

Jul 2

• Early at 6 have to send mom and her friend at the airport. Doing this made me late coming back which also made it late for me to send H2. So wife had to send her 

• Did classes and deliver the lasagna to H1 and wife’s friend. Kids love it, the adults were a mixed bag 

• After that it was me-time. Started with lunch at Kenny Hills where I ordered the most expensive Nasi lemak. After that went to the cinema to watch F1 on IMAX (5/5 film) while eating some popcorn 

• Came back and cooked some fried rice for wife and then continue classes 

Jul 3

• got 2000 reviews on my online teaching class. 

• Last day of H2 school after this is summer vacation. 

• I had to see my agent who does my will. There are a lot of documents that I have to sign and bring home with me 

• Bring H2 for some ramen since she deserve it 

• Wife wants to take leave tomorrow so H1 wants to use the car. So when I pick her up I pick H1 up as well

• H1 brought her friend so she cooked for him and H2. Played some videogames and they left

• Wife students want to come to do a sleepover and cooked dinner. But they came so late that I was already tired and fall asleep. 

Jul 4

• After classes bought ingredients to make some lasanga. This time is 1.5kg of meat and I add all the missing ingredients. Wife said it was good 

• Send H2 to her swimming lesson and pick up the cleaner and pick up hany back from swimming

• In the evening played gin rummy with the girls. They made me some garlic bread. It was delicous

Jun 5

• After breakfast with the girls we all get ready to go for lunch. First we drop the lasanga to my mom in law 

• We ate at the chinese noodle shop. We went with two cars. Going there wofe drove her car. Coming back H1 drove her car. But the girls stop by  a bakery to get some cream puff first. 

• Played some cards in the evening untill 10pm. After that the girls went home. 

What's for next week. The only thing I am looking forward to is picking up mom from the airport. H2 has her appointment with the hospital. But other than that, everything seems okay. Another week, another adventure

Wicked Part 1

I don't get the hype

What is it about?
From the famous Broadway muscial that shows the story of what happened before Dorothy visited OZ

The Good
The story is compelling. I would watch this story.
There are a couple of songs that are great

The Bad
This musical is boring. Most of the songs are all ballads without any wow factor. 
Beside that this movie being too long  

The Ugly
We all know how is going to end but does the actually musical is 5 hours long?

After Credits: No

Verdict: It was okay, for the first time 

The Veil

The trailer is a lie 

What is it about? Elizabeth Moss is a secret agent with no name task to stop a terorrist plot. 

I was bamboozled: The trailer shows her as a master of disguised. Here I thought she would solve a different issue each episode but in reality this 6 episode is just 1 long story and she didn't get to use her certain set of skills at all.

B-story: There is a B story involving the CIA and french intelligence. I would rather watch show then watch whatever his is... This show is so boring and after a while I juset want things to end. The action is very minial and the stakes were not as high as they think.

In the end: Not sure there will be a season two. But after the mission it is time for her to change her idenity. This slow spy stories are not that much for me since it relies to human infor so that unrealiable at best.
