I love this movie. Again and again 

What is it about?
A man who is trapped within the system is stuck in the terminal 

The Good 
The movie is a feel good movie about what will happen if you are stuck in a place where time doesn't stay still 
For each obstacles that he faces, he makes due and try to figure out what the next move
The bad guy plays a guy who is frustrated 
A lot of funny moments 
The side characters also play an important role 

The Bad
Nothing. This movie is perfect 
I wish they showed him coming back at the end 

The Ugly 
Nothing much 

After Credits: No but they have signatures of all people who made the movie 

Verdict: One of my best movies of all time 

Uno game 52nd, 53rd and 54th

So we played a tournament during the vacation. I won twice but the girls didn't want me to count the second round. So I count one and H1 won twice. Oh well. She is still far away

October 22 😊🥰

Today mom cooked fried rice again which was delicious and then I went to do my Friday prayers. Nothing much happen today just me hanging out watching tv and playing games. Played some uno with the girls and I won. Oh brought H1 to get her second dose of vaccinations. That went well 

October 23 😊🥰

Today is H1 therapy and it went well. Both wife and H2 wanted to go shopping so they tagged along. We went to the mall and went to chillis. Hany got a birthday cake and she was happy. Went shopping around the mall and came home around 4 something. Took a short nap and mom and kids ate bread and leftovers. At night played the switch with the girls until it was close to 11. 

October 24 😊🥰

Today I cooked some pesto because the girls have been bugging me for a while to cook it. Went to get the stuff from the store and after lunch send my mom back to the airport. It rained heavily so visibility was poor. At night I played some more Forza and won my third eliminator match with a level 10 car. Which is awesome. I went to sleep early since tomorrow it is my wife first day at school. 

October 25 😊🥰

Today I decided to cook some soy chicken. Something simple. Wife first day at work today so had to go and do all my exercises early. Besides that played some Forza and was trying resident evil and it turns out that that fame didn’t age well. Not sure what to play next but I better decide soon since I am going on vacation. In the evening I went to pick up the cleaners

October 26 😊🥰

Today the cleaners are here to I decided to buy lunch and kfc dinner. In the morning send my wife to work. After that went to fix my gate door keys while going to the bank. In the evening I played some games and just watch a lot of Superman & Lois.

Today for lunch I made fried rice with the leftover kfc chicken. That was so delicious that I had for lunch and evening as well. Watch more tv and played Forza 4 Eliminator matches. Which I won twice. That is great on my book. I brought the girls to the bookstore and to get some cake. In the evening wife wanted some sushi so we went to the new sushi place. The taste and price was not bad at all. At night did a lot of work for the wife and went to sleep late at night

October 28 🥰🥰

Today is an awesome day for many reasons. One I celebrated my one year anniversary with my best friend. Hope this friendship will remain for eternity. Two, the book I ordered The Ultimate History of The Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally arrived and it is an awesome read. I can't put it down. I am thinking weather should I bring it tomorrow to the holiday place. Third I made spaghetti and meatballs which was delicious. Fourth, Callie just went into labor so expecting baby kittens by tomorrow. Overall an awesome day  

How I am so far

I am in good health. It has been a while since I have journaled about myself due to the fact that life is going good and I have no complaints. All of my friends that I made over the years I still manage to keep and I recently celebrated a year with my best friend. So that is awesome. I think if my investment with my money goes well I wouldn't have to worry about money ever again so here is hoping. Tomorrow I have to go on a trip with my mom in law which I find boring. I really don't like family obligations but then again if I don't like that I shouldn't be in a family. Just suck it up and go with the flow 

Mean Girls

 I can see why this movie is a cult classic

What is it about?
About the social hierarchy of the girls in high school 

The Good
The movie does a good job in explaining all the characters and their motivation
The movie is not funny but it tries to be funny
Tina Fey character is good  

The Bad 
There are better ways in handling issues like this but this movie makes it seems that everyone can change once given the opportunity

This is not as funny as the second one

English is back to save the country

Well we played again and this time H1 wasn't feeling it so me and H2 won the game

What happens when you just want to race. You get this game

What is it about?
Just a bare basic rally game where is it just you and the road 

What I liked?
Random generated tracks with 6 different locations 
5 different types of weather (sunset, morning, afternoon, night, rain) 
Real life cars without the real life names. When you see the car you know what the make is about. 
The driving is really tight. Controls are precise 

What I didn't liked?
Loading times on the switch is super long 
One wrong move and it will send you car drifting away 
Some of the autogenerated tracks really have bad track design which will make you just go off track 
Free roam mode I don't quite enjoy it 

Status: Finish the game until the end credits 

Fun Factor: One of the best rally games I've played this year. Easy driving 

Johnny English Reborn

This is better than its sequel 

What is it about?
Years after the first movie. A lot has change and English is a more seasoned agent 

The Good 
The story look like it is better in terms of cinematography
There are funny moments and there are not that much cringe scene 
The Rolls Royce Phantom is awesome 
Action is great

The Bad
The plot is dumb. Well English is dumb but that is part of his charm 
Some of the action scene doesn't make much sense 

The Ugly

Weekly Review (Week 42)

October 15 😊🥰

Today wake up and I need to send Callie to the vet for an ultrasound. It turns out I am going to be a grandfather to 4 kittens. After that I went to pick up the cleaners. Went to ordered some food for the kids before going for prayers. In the evening we went to mom in laws house. My sister in law finally came back after 7 months. The kids were so happy to see her. We are good food and played uno with 6 people. Overall it has been a good day 

October 16 😊🥰

Today from my in laws house I went home and prepare lunch for my mom. Around noon I picked her from the airport and pick my wife up. We had dinner together and then in the evening I send my wife back to her in laws so it was just me and my mom at night. We had dinner and then both of us went to bed early. Was a good day 

October 17 😊😓

Today after my normal routine I helped my mom with the garden. I finally got to use the electric lawn mower saw function. But I think I broke it since it could only be used to chopped a couple of trees. We got back home and get ready to go shopping. My mom wanted to get curtains and carpets. It was a treat going out with my mom. I laughed a lot seeing her antics. She just like to haggle on price. Had lunch together and then went home. I took a 10 min nap and then wife said I need to cook for my in laws family since they are coming over, I rushed to the groceries and both some fish heads and chicken. Took an hour plus to cook everything and after evening prayers we had dinner. My food was good everyone had seconds. I cleaned the kitchen as always and then took a shower and now it’s time for me to go to sleep. What an exhausting day

Today my mom made some naan bread to eat with my curry. We rested in until the afternoon and then my sister in law and the kids came home. We had lunch of coconut curry chicken and it was super delicious. It was so delicious that nothing was saved and my mom had to make a second batch that night. Overall it was a good day. Oh we wanted to go shopping by my wife forgot to bring her phone.

Today my mom cook some fried rice before she head back home to her hometown. After that we had to go to my mom in laws house to had lunch. We had some Sarawak laksa. In the evening the four of us went to Starbucks and just hang out. In the evening I didn't feel like eating so I didn't had dinner. Ended the day with some games. 

October 20 😊🥰

Today I made some butter chicken. It was super delicious. I spend most of the day playing games while it rained super heavily. I finish a 6 episode show called White Lotus. I kinda enjoyed it. Finish Art of Rally and now thinking what should I play next. Most of the day was spend just relaxing, taking a nap and just handing out.

October 21 😊😓

Today I bought some breakfast which we had for later. Went to do some groceries and decided to cook something new. Fried chicken with chilli and curry eggplant. Did the garden. Cleaned the house. Well most of it. Wife had an accident so I needed to clean the bedsheet and then finally got a chance to relax. Mom came home and brought a lot of food from her hometown. Oh my best friend game me my birthday gift. A copy of Forza Horizon 5 ultimate edition

A funny take on the spy genre 

What is it about?
A bumbling spy needs to save England

This movie really is a movie not for the masses 

What is it about?
A bride wanting revenge on bill sets out to kill everyone 

The Good
The story is divided into chapters that can be easily understand 
The motivation of each character is told slowly thought-out
The action scene are way over the top 
There is an animation section which fun to watch 

The Bad
Some of the back story really doesn't need to be told 
The blood spatter is so way over the top 

The Ugly
It ended in a cliffhanger

Toem

A very relaxing game

What is it about?
You are an adventurer who is asked by your grandma to take an adventure 

What I liked?

It a simple game where you have a camera with a digital camera and take pictures of things you find interesting 

There are a lot of point of interest and everyone will send you for tasks 

Clothes that have different functions open stuff in the environment 

The game is short and sweet 

What I didn't liked?
Some pictures you don't have a clue what do you need to find. So you'll end up running in circles trying to find the right picture.

Fun Factor: A great game to play and relax

Metroid Dread

After years we got a 2D Metroid and it is fantastic

Genre: Action
Platform: Nintendo Switch

What is it about?
The 5th installment of the Metroid saga. It is the final game in the long Metroid story 

What did I liked?
The graphics is amazing 
The game is standard Metroid but with a twist. This time you are being hunted by killer robots.

It doesn't tell you where to go but you don't feel lost. When you feel trapped it just takes a hidden block to discover to move you forward
Bosses are hard and fast. You'll die a lot. But it is different from being frustrating. It teaches you what are the sequences for the bosses that makes it such satisfying when you beat it. 

You start of without any powers but slowly you build up your suit until you become super powerful. The feeling you get when you can go anywhere is just awesome 

The story is good it does tie up some loose ends here and there, I don't seem to understand it that much.

Power bombs are awesome 

Controls are smooth as butter 

What I didn't liked?
This is just my gripe. Some of the puzzle requires pinpoint precision to get the item. I don't have that much dexterity.

The map. You can just explore a whole section there are pathways to go through which makes it tedious. It is a good thing that at the end all the transporters are unlocked

Weekly review (Week 41)

October 8 😊🥰

Today I fried some chicken marinated from yesterday and the rest I bought. That was enough for both lunch and dinner. Oh I beat Metroid Dread like at 6am in the morning. The ending was epic. After that finish Toem a nice palette cleanser after the face pace action. Overall it was a great friday. Played some uno with the girls which I won one game and started on Art of Rally.  

October 9 😊🥵

Today it’s a weekend so I didn’t feel like cooking. I bought lunch at two different places. We had a dinner invitation by my dad in law. So I had to buy a macadamia cheesecake. We left at 4pm and it took an hour. I came there and I was task to cook some fried rice. I finally met my new nephew. He is already 8 months older and extremely heavy 😅. The BBQ started in the evening. The problem was that the chicken wasn’t pre cooked so the chicken was charred on the outside but it wasn’t cooked on the inside. We ordered some pizza as well. The BBQ went great. We were supposed to stay at my dad in law house but there wasn’t room for the girls. So at 11:30pm we went home and arrive close after midnight. Slept after 1am 

October 10 😊🥰

Today for lunch H1 grilled some burgers. My friend came to the house to get my switch joycons. To change with his animal crossing joycons. Which is awesome. I took a nap due to being tired. In the evening went to my mom in laws house ans then went to the mall to had dinner. They just announce that tomorrow the country lockdown will be lifted and everyone can cross the states. So the girls aunt is coming home soon 

October 11 😊😢

Today I didn’t cook because wife wants chicken rice so I just go buy that at the shop. For dinner we bought some bread and eggs and ate some instant noodles. Wife was not feeling good, she has been vomiting the whole day. So I brought her to the clinic to get meds. When I came back home it turns out that the clinic gave me the wrong meds so I had to drive back to the clinic to get the proper meds. Overall I got home close to 11pm and took a shower and went to bed. Tiring day 

October 12 😊🥰

Today I decided to make seafood chowder. I went to groceries and bought all the stuff. I made it for lunch with some garlic bread. It tasted good. Other than that my day was spend playing some games and watching tv. You know the usual stuff. Wife decided to go out with her friend so I had the whole house to myself for 3 hours in the evening

October 13 😊🥰

Today I decided to make more garlic bread and then call the vet. Since patches was bloodied yesterday. Turns out that if he act weird than I should bring him to the vet. So I spend the day playing art of rally and watching the office. In the evening did some gardening and it was super tired and at night at some leftovers with the family. Overall it was a good day.

October 14 😊😓

Today I decided to cook some curry chicken with tempeh and some veggies. Spend the day playing some switch. My switcher arrived and I need a shorter hdmi cable. In the evening I brought the girls out to the bookstore and then help H1 clean the game room since my mom is coming down and it’s a mess. Got a call from my mom in law saying that she is coming and bringing my brother in law and wants me to entertain him. It turns out that my brother in law is too much for her since being on house arrest (basically he can’t leave the house) so he needs some entertainment. They left close to 11pm and I was super exhausted 

Mini Motor Racing X

A nice fun racing game but the difficulty

What I liked?
The racing is fast 
Different type of car classes each with its own different stats
Each race earns you cash to upgrade your car

Different types of tracks 

What I didn't liked?

The physics are a bit rubber band-y. Even with full handling spec your car 
Some of the tracks are just too hard 
Some cars are a bit overpowered 
It gets too repetitive

Fun Factor: It's an enjoyable game. A bit too long for me 

The Bourne Legacy

I've never watched this but I can say that this is a good movie 

What is it about?
During the events of the last Bourne movie, it turns out the program run deeper 

The Good 
Jeremy Renner is the everyday guy. He just is a good guy to watch on screen
The action is solid. There is even a final chase scene in the end 
They finally fix the camera. Probably that is why I enjoyed it. We can see everything that is happening 
I like that this is happening during the third movie and they put Jason Bourne name during the movie 
I like the surveillance part. I wonder can that be made into a series?

The Bad
Edward Norton really was just in a room for everything 
The ending is great but no idea what happens to the program 

The Ugly 
Nothing much

Verdict: A better movie that all three series but I think without the 3 movies you won't get this. A must watch but you need to watch all the other movies. 

The Bourne Ultimatum

The last movie in the trilogy my opinion is the best one 

What is it about?
Bourne comes back to where it all happen 

The Good 
Action is face pace as usual 
This time is more condense where the last hour happen it all one area 
The story finally wrap up where it answered questions that I didn't know to ask 

The Bad
Camera work is still bad but it is better than before 
I know this movie doesn't have any female leads but they try to shoehorn having the sequels makes it unsatisfying since they have a small screen time 

The Ugly
Nothing much.

Verdict: Well it a great spy trilogy. Should watch 

Uno game 48th and 49th

Played again last night and the girls are determine to team up and beat me and they succeeded as well. But I did win the second round which I won. This makes my lead ever increasing but anything can happen

 An old school Call of Duty

What is it about?
The events that lead from the allies to win the war 

What I liked?
Gameplay is fast paced 
Old school weapons fire at a slower rate but they are fun to use 
You medic, ammo and objectives moves with you in your different squad members 
The campaign story is great. I loved it. The ending is satisfying 
Flying an airplane 
Mission is varied. There are stealth missions as well 

What I didn't liked?
Old school weapons takes a while to reload 
Driving sections need work

Fun Factor: Another year, another awesome Call of Duty campaign 

The Bourne Supremacy

The sequel is a bit more confusing 

What is it about?
Picking up after the first movie. This time it's personal 

The Good
Action is again top notch 
He is more mobile in this one and keeps on moving from one place to the next 

The Bad
Camerawork is so dizzy. I can't see anything when its close combat 
The story is a bit confusing but in the end it wraps up nicely 

The Ugly
It sets up for another movie. Which probably going to be the same like the rest

Verdict: I liked it. ok I guess

Weekly Review (Week 40)

October 1 😊🥰

Today I woke up and had a lot on my plate. First I need to gl my mom in laws to pick up some supplies that we left off the day when we stayed there. Came home and the security guy was at home when I arrived. It turns out that the plug was off. But he did fix my Cctv. So money well spent I guess. I made pesto for lunch and for the first time in months I manage to do Friday prayers in the mosque. Coming home I had to send H1 to get her first shot of vaccinations. It took us more than an hour but she was finally vaccinated. At night we ate the leftover pesto and I played some call of duty. Overall it was good a day

October 2 😊🥰

Today H2 decided to join me working out. So she id close to 2.3km. Im so proud of her. She also learn how to do laundry all by herself. That is just awesome. Today I didn't cook so we ate leftovers. In the evening I made some fried rice to go with the leftovers. Played some Mario Party with the girls. I lost. In the evening pick up the cleaner and now it is the end of the day. 

October 3 😊🥰

The cleaner is cleaning the house early in the morning so I didn't want to cook anything. For lunch I bought some food and for dinner after we send back the cleaner we all had McDonalds. Did nothing much. It was a lazy Sunday. Played games, took a nap, watch tv. You know the usual stuff. Really it was a great weekend. 

October 4 😊😞

Today I decided to make spaghetti. But for the adults will be baked potato with coleslaw. I went to do some groceries. H1 came to me annoyed due to her iPad issue with chrome. Finished call of duty. 

October 5 😊😞

Today in the morning I went to get my wife coffee at Starbucks. After that went to do some groceries since my dad in law is coming and I planned to cook some pesto with salmon. Today Metroid Dread is out so I am playing that right away. So far I love it. Dad in law came and he had lots of fun with the girls. At night my best friend is being difficult again which really I don’t like. I think I need to figure out my next move. 

October 6 😊🥰

Today I didn’t feel like cooking because there was no water at home. For lunch the girls had leftover pesto and I bought porridge for the wife who is feeling under weather. In the evening I bought chicken rice and curry for the girls while I didn’t feel like eating. Overall today was an okay day. It rained so it was a gloomy day. Finish what if… it was awesome 

October 7 😊🥰

Today wife wanted some soup so I went to get supplies for it. Make some soup and veggies. Played a lot of Metroid and just hang. At night I had a splitting headache. So I took some medicine and then just am resting 

The Bourne Identity

The thinking man spy thriller 

What is it about?
A guy with no memory try to piece together what had happened

The Good 
The action is non stop 
The story is easy to follow but leaves a lot hanging 

The Bad
The camerawork is all over the place. Really the action makes it unwatchable 
Matt Damon feels a bit stiff but probably that what he is doing 

The Ugly
Nothing much. The movie ends which is good. But there are like 4 more left

Verdict: It is an okay spy movie

We played two games and both of the games I was on e a winning streak. H1 is so annoyed by me

Panic Room

It makes you feel like you in a panic room 

What is it about?
A mom and her kid have to survive in a panic room with 3 arm robbers 

The Good
The story is simple and yet we feel like we are enclosed inside the room as well 

Jodie Foster has great chemistry with Kristen Steward

At least there is an ending 

The Bad
Really why didn't the husband call the cops before entering in the house. That is just a rookie move. 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: It is an okay movie. Watch it once 

Lego Builder's Journey

This game is great but for switch not so

What is it about?
It's about a story a father and son journey towards a distant land 

What I liked?
Playing with Lego is fun.
There is some fun elements in building 
The story is there but I don't get it that much 

What I didn't liked?
The controls doesn't translate well with the switch
Some of the puzzle are tedious and some solutions you have no idea to solve it

Fun Factor: It is an okay game. 

Donut County

This is a simple game but with a interesting story

Game no: 429
Genre: Puzzle  
Platform: Nintendo Switch 
Release Date: 2018

What is it about?
You play as a racoon who makes donuts on the ground 

What did I liked?
The gameplay is easy yet challenging but you feel a certain satisfaction when you get to put something in the hole.
The stages varies with challenges from the maps. You need to figure out what to do next before moving forward 
A lot of things to suck in and each item has a brief description on what is it.

What I didn't liked?
The story. It get's too long at the end and I just wanted it over 
Some of the stages are just impossible to figure out

Fun Factor: It's a short game. Worth to be played.
