What is it about?

What I liked?
The music. You start the game with Smooth Criminal (check in on YouTube) running. Get you pumping. Fun fact: the 3 world it was supposed to be Thriller but they have some licensing issue so they change it to a lower beat tune
Sound effects are awesome
The game is relatively easy and yet hard at the same time. You need to find girls who are hidden away in each level. They are hiding in doors, trunks and windows. So it takes a while to find them all
Micheal super move where you make everyone on screen dance with him

What I didn't liked?
The game is easy the first two stages. The third stage. The difficulty ramp up to 12. Enemies will be popping out of the screen and eventually you will die
And if you manage to get out of stage three. Stage 4 is even harder

Fun Factor: Just a nostalgic trip down memory lane. But didn't age well.

Kirby Super Star

A fun Kirby game

What I liked?

Kirby games have always been a simple pickup and play but it's still hard to get by. It offers a a challenging gameplay 

The ability to suck enemies and take their abilities. Which sounds cool but sometimes you get a weird powers such as being a rock

What I didn't liked?

Nothing much. It's not grown breaking or anything.

Jurassic Park

A movie tie in game that has a lot of dinosaurs

What is it about?
Following the events from the first movie. Plus a couple of scene there is not in the movie.

What I liked?
Multiple weapons that provides different type of damage
Multiple dinosaurs ranging from the small to T-Rex
T-Rex is awesome when he pops out
The motorboat section is quite fun
Can choose either ti play as the human or a raptor

What I didn't liked? 
The game is quite hard. Landing at the wrong place will make you lose your health
No checkpoint system which causes you to restart back from the beginning if you died
Some weapons doesn't have any effect

Fun Factor: It's not a bad game. Worth a playthrough

Gradius 3

This game is freaking hard

You are space fighter who needs to fight a horde of aliens

What I liked?
Each ship has tier own unique abilities with different power up
Power-ups can make up very over powered but there will be a lot of bullets to avoid

What I didn't liked?
The game slowdowns in parts where there a lot of enemies on the screen
Once you die is practically game over because you will lose all your power ups

Fun Factor: It's an okay SNES game. Nothing special

Granada

A fun game if you can survive the horde of enemies

What is it about?
You play as a tank and you are stop an alien invasion.. I think?

What I liked?
They are very generous with the health bar. But the hordes of enemies are a lot
Two type of cannons. A rail cannon and a heavy cannon

What I didn't liked?
Nothing much. Its an ok game but it's quite hard

Status: played until I hit the game over screen

Fun Factor: I think you can get good at it. But it get bored over time.

The Firemen

This is probably one of those rare games to play

What did I liked?
Unlimited water gun makes traversing the environment fun.

What I didn't liked?
The boss battles are hard as nails
Fire spreads fast and in a pattern. So its 360 degrees of fire fighting
The game is hard playing alone

Fun Factor: It's a fun game but I think its better if you played it with a friend

Finally after a winning streak there it comes to an end

What I liked?
Variety in characters

What I didn't liked?
Well a beat em up is fun until it gets insanely difficult. The problem with this is game is the animations are too rigid. So you think you hit the bad guy but you didn't. So it's very frustrating.
Bonus stage.That just plain dumb

Dragon's Revenge

The follow-up to Dragon fury which was surprisingly enjoyable

What I liked?
Its 3 different tables in one. There are a lot of things to do
There are voice clips which is rare in a SNES game.
The bonus stages are fun

What I didn't liked?
It's a pinball game. There is nothing much you can do after you die. There is replay-ability but after one game you practically seen it all.

Fun Factor: It s pinball game. So okay I guess

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest

Rare makes very tough platformers

What I liked?
The platforming sections some of them are fun
Each animal powerup provides a certain variety
Dixie Kong is so much better than Diddy Kong

What I didn't liked?
The difficulty is bonkers crazy. Really to win this game during that time requires a mastery of skills
Some stages are impossible to win.
The second to last stage is just utter bullshit

Fun Factor: Its and enjoyable game. If you like the first one, you'll enjoy the second one

Dragon's Fury

It's been a while since there is a pinball game here

An easy platformer for the genesis

What I liked? 
Easy controls. It’s a simple platformer where you jump and avoid obstacles

Controls are floaty. Not that precise

Fun Factor: Played once, it’s not memorable

Contra III The Alien Wars

First game of the new decade as well as the new year

What I liked? 
The shooting is fast paced
The stages are awesome. They are more than 4 to 5 Bosses per stage
Mode 7 graphics where you need to navigate a section of the map is cool
The power ups help you a lot. Scatter gun is not the strongest gun in the game

What I didn’t liked? 
The bosses are hard as nails. One wrong move and then you’re dead
You need to jump and shoot and navigate obstacles at the same time

Shinobi III - Return of the Ninja Master

I love ninjas

What is it about?
Ninja master Shinobi comes back to defeat evil

What I liked?
The gameplay is a mixed of platform jumping, wall climbing and double jumping. Jumps need to be made precisely in order to avoid certaindeath
The combat primary consists of projectile weapons. Shinobi will only use his sword and kick if he is jumping or running.
Shinobi has 4 ultra move which consist of fire, thunder, wind and speed which provide massive damage and it usually used as the last line of defense
There are run and gun sections such as the horse aand the surfboard
The bosses are bigger than life and there are enough variety in dealing with them.

What I didn't liked?
Falling to your death. The game doesn't have terrible control so mostly when you fall is because you missed the platform.
Stage 5 in the castle. One wrong move and you'll get lost and have to repeat it all over again.

Final Fight 2

I can't believe this was a genre during the 90s

What is it about?
Haggar daughter has been kidnap and it's up to you and a group of friends to travel around the world to stop them.

What I liked?
Fighting seems to be on par with most games during that time. Its so satisfying to hit someone and execute a special move when you are surrounded

What I didn't liked?
Everything else in the game sucks. The movement is slow. You keep fighting the same enemies over and over again. The fighting is repetitive. You are stuck going from point A to B until you clear to whole area.
The reason why I kept playing is just to see what is the story about. The last boss is a character that eventually made it to the Street Fighter seriies

Micro Machines 2 Turbo Tournament

This game is faster than F-zero

What is it about?
Micro racing around everyday places and items.

What I liked?
The choices of cars and tracks are surprisingly varied. Cars range from dragsters, formula one cars and dump trucks
There are a lot of different tracks that provides enough twists and turns. I especially love the tracks on the dining table.
Racing is a lot of fun if you get the layout of the track.

What I didn't like?
The race is extremely unforgiving. One wrong move and you are gone. The races gets harder and faster over time. Unless you have lightning like reflexes there is no chances in winning the race.
The cars also have very sensitive handling. One extra wrong turn can make you fall down a cliff which sucks because fundamentally the game does play well.
The tree house stage sucks. The helicopter is hard to control and the wind effects really makes racing difficult.

Fun Factor: This game is not that fun unless you know what is their track layout

F-Zero

This game is so extremely hard

Hover racing in the future.

What I liked?
Fast paced action
4 choices of ships with a lot of robot ships around
15 different tracks each with bomb obstacles, jumps and shortcuts

What I didn't liked?
One mistake on you're dead. This game can be finish in less than 45 minutes. But the difficulty curve means you spend constantly dying
There are no point systems so as long you are in the top three. You are good.

Fun Factor: A great short racing that is a good for pick up and play

Super Castlevania IV

I love the music of the game

What is it about?
You travel around the world to fight Dracula

What I Liked?
The music is awesome. The starting music is one the best castlevania music ever
The action is slow but precise. You need to clear the stage in 10 minutes.
The whip is multi directional which makes it easier to kill enemies.
Your amour and whip can be upgraded.
The cross is the best weapon available.

What I didn't liked?
The slow paced of the game makes its a frustrating when you move and miss a hit
Your health is one full bar and food is few and far between.
The jumps need to be timed precisely. You'll end up falling down a lot.

Coins need to be collected to stay in the race.
50cc and 100cc racers

No idea why
Peach has the ability to shrink everyone with a mushroom
Donkey Kong has unlimited bananas

Gameplay:
Fast paced can't make a mistake gameplay with Mode 7 graphics. This is as close as 3D you are going to get.

Status: Finish the game twice in 50cc and 100cc with special cup in hand
