Batman Arkham City

 



Game: Batman Arkham City

Genre: Action
First 3 Hours: Most anticipated game of the year for me. Takes the normal Batman and amplify it by 5. Everything about the game is great.
What I Liked: Gameplay, Takedowns, Storyline.
What I Didn't Liked: Ending, No Batmobile (Yet....)
Status: Finished it and want to play it again

Halo Combat Evolve

 


Game: Halo Combat Evolve

Genre: FPS
First 3 Hours: I can say this is one of the first sci-fi FPS that is great to play and has awesome storytelling. Plus I think this is the first game where you can ride a car and drive it around
What I Liked: Warthog, Storyline,
What I Didn't Liked: The Flood, Lack of variety of weapons.
Status: Finished it and planning to go on to Halo 2

Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions

 



Game: Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions

Genre: Action
First 3 Hours: Four different Spider-Man. Four Distinct gameplay. The best is of course Noir and the normal one. Ultimate and 2099 is kinda of repetitve. But still enjoyable
What I Liked: Storyline, Boss Fights, Stealth
What I Didn't Liked: Repetitve. Not open world.
Status: Finish the game until the final boss.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Game: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Genre: FPS
First 3 Hours: Played one call of duty played them all. Same over the top action sequence. Same cool weapons. Not that I am complaining.
What I Liked: Everything that made Call of Duty Awesome
What I Didn't Liked: The same stuff over and over again. I'll probably play the 3rd installment as well
Status: Finished it as usual.
Score: 4/5 Drones

Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2

 



Game: Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2

First 3 Hours: Played the first game on PSP, This is just mearly to find out what happen in the story. Graphics and gameplay were great. But after a couple of stage. The games gets too repetitive..
What I Liked: Lightsaber dual, Force Powers
What I Didn't Liked: Fighting the same bad guy over and over again. Not that much variety
Status: Finished it. Fought Darth Vader and Won

Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005

 


Game: Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005

Genre: Racing
First 3 Hours: Its like GTA but just for cars. This is the first title that I've played that combines open world with street racing. Plus the car customization is limitless.
What I Liked: Cars, Police Chase, Final Scene...
What I Didn't Liked: A.I is quite unforgiving. Not that many civilians cars
Status: Finished the game after jumping over the bridge.
Score: 5/5 Turbos

Half Life

Game: Half Life
Platform: PC
Genre: FPS
First 3 Hours: Got it cheap on steam. Played for a while. Was ok for the first 8 stages .Until I reached the train tracks. Then it became annoying.
What I Liked: Standard FPS Stuff
What I Didn't Liked: Standard FPS Stuff
Status: Played till the track stage and use cheat code to jump till the final stage. Finish the game and got the story. Really need to go onto HL2

Grim Fandango

Genre: Adventure

Factory Sealed: 85
First 3 Hours: The name is manny.. Manny Calevera. This is the first point and click game that I've played. I really enjoy it. I had to use a cheat sheet to play this game since some places really have you head scratching.
What I Liked: Storyline
What I Didn't Liked: Controls... Can't blame them. It's an old game. And the puzzle are very puzzling
Status: Finished the story with a cheat sheet. Still counts :P

Call of Duty Black Ops

 


Game: Call of Duty Black Ops

Genre: FPS
First 3 Hours: Call of Duty is the same game with just a different badge. Same awesome set pieces. Same awesome gameplay. Love it. You played one COD you played them all.
What I Liked: Set pieces, storyline (sort of),
What I Didn't Liked: Nothing much, this game is very straightfoward
Status: Finish the game after a lot of pew pew pew

Portal 2

First 3 Hours: The sequel to the best game I've played in a while. Now with a storyline and a goo gun. Gabe Johnson is hillarious. Weathly too. The Portals are limited to white surfaces which is a drag since there are ways to slove the puzzle
What I Liked: Puzzles, storyline, GLADoS
What I Didn't Liked: The obvious solution to the puzzle is like right in front of you.
Status: Finished the game and enjoyed the ending.

Batman Arkham Asylum

First 3 Hours: This is my most anticipated game every since it came out. Booted it up, it lives to my every expectation. The original cast of Batman Animated was all here. This game makes platforming and stealth a fun thing to do.
What I Liked: There are a lot of things I liked... Let's see... Freestyle combo, Gadgets, Scarecrow parts, Storyline, Joker, Stealth section
What I Didn't Liked: Backtracking, Poison Ivy and Bane Titans
Status: Finished it in 12 hours
Score: 5/5 Joker Teeth

Link Crossbow Training

First 3 Hours: This game is awesome. The use of the gun peripheral makes the game much more immersive. There are some stages the require us to move the nunchuck to guide link to shoot the targets. Link also has a rapid fire feature.
What I Liked: Gameplay, improves aiming
What I Didn't Liked: The final boss is cheap...
Status: The game is very short. I would say less than 2 hours
Score: 4/5 bullseye

Kirby Epic Yarn

First 3 Hours: The style was interesting. Its very colorful. But I couldn't quite enjoy a kirby game its just too damn slow.
What I Liked: Style
What I Didn't Liked: Gameplay
Status: Didn't finished it at all. Played a couple of stages and I turned it off

First 3 Hours: God of War on the PSP. What's not to like. The psp's limitation is that it only has one thumbstick. So the camera is at a fixed angle. Other than that it plays a like the console version of the game.
What I Liked: Action parts, boss fights
What I Didn't Liked: Camera angles, only a couple of bad guys on screen due to hardware limitation
Status: Yeap, another GOW game finished. Nuff said

God of War 3

First 3 Hours: This is by far the best of the series. They fix most of the issues of the 2nd game. Everything is in HD.
What I Liked: Weapons, Boss Fights (Hades is awesome) Storyline
What I Didn't Liked: Nothing much.. The ending kinda sucks.
Status: Finished the game with a crappy ending that doesn't tie things together.
Score: 5/5 lightning bolts

God of War 2

First 3 Hours: Played the first one, of course im going for the 2nd one. Kratos is still an emo guy. Too much shouting. The first battle was epic and it went uphill from there.
What I Liked: Action scenes, boss fights, storytelling, boobs ( :D)
What I Didn't Liked:  Platforming... sucks, opening doors...crates, quick time events
Status: Finshed and the ending is a cliffhanger... Number 3 is next

Donkey Kong Country Returns

First 3 Hours: This game reminds me of the old SNES Donkey Kong. But I didn't expect it to be extremely difficult. I thought NSMB Wii was hard. This is double that. The only good part is that bananas are available everywhere so you won't run out of life. Other than that, if you die 10 times you will get to skip the stage
What I Liked: Platforming, Stages, Rocket barrel
What I Didn't Liked: Stages... Rage Quitting...
Status: Finished it in 1 week. Didn't get all of the golden bananas but I'm not revisiting that again

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Ultimate All-Stars

First 3 Hours: Awesome game where you can fight Ryu vs G-Force dude at the same time. There is even a big giant lighter guy. Very slow but packs a punch. The tagging system needs work. The gameplay is very fast paced
What I Liked: Rosters, Super moves,
What I Didn't Liked: Tagging System, No Replay Value (unless multiplayer)
Status: Played in now and then but since it doesn't have a coherent storyline. There is nothing more to do
