Captain America Civil War

This is the best Marvel MCU movie to date. The Russo brothers managed to do the impossible by creating a movie where everyone matters. Everyone has at least 15 minutes of screen time. The comedy cues are right now time. The action is well choreograph. The masterpiece scene is the airport where it's like a battle Royale of superheroes. In the end this is a story about The end of Captain America as we know it. It also is a story about the fall of the Avengers. The thing that made be psych is that we are getting a black panther and Spider-Man movie next year

Day 226: Half day before a long holiday

Yesterday I was already psych for my long Labor Day weekend off. Starting with a half day yesterday. But I got called to the office since my friend N needed help. So as a good friend I am. I helped her get out of a jam. My boss was not to pleased with it since it's not my job anymore. There is a person for it. Next time I don't want to tell him. Or should I?

I'm Better than the original

Game no: 160

Genre: Action 

Platform: GBA

What's is it about?

Same sonic premise. Stop Dr Eggman while rescuing his friends

Game consists of: 

- Running

- Platforming

- Boss fighting

What's good:

- More speed courses than platforming

- No more water strages which is good

What's bad:

- The course have a path where if you miss it you need to do one full round to get it back which does  make the game a bit frustrating

- The final boss is al the bosses. I don't see how to win without savestates

Status: Beat the game with Sonic

Score: Worth to be played at least once 

Day 225: Actually did something today

Thank god for RJ. I think without him, I probably won't be doing any work. Went for a meeting with him and after that went with ZN for lunch. During that time we did some gossiping and she told me I need to step up if I want my KPI to be good next year. The funny thing is I don't care that much about my KPI. If I get free money its good, and if I don't get any its ok as well. Tomorrow my holiday will officially start. After 12pm.

Day 224: Risk of Rain... Which it does

Continuing my streak of not having any projects. I was just minding y own business when I saw the CEO calls all the best employees from each department with their respective bosses. The CEO was showing his appreciation to the staff that the company deems as assets. Was I jealous... Not even close... I happy where I am right now. If i didn't get bonus it would be a different story. But at least I'm a competent worker. One of my friend got more than '3' but unofficially from the company. So he got another extra income that will be credited in his account next month. Happy for him... Now I just have to lay low and see what will happen next...

Day 223: Bonus day baby...

Well the title is self explanatory. Today is the day we got paid and then some. My prorated amount was more than my monthly salary but the tax was almost half of my monthly salary. Imagine if people got more than 10,000. Their tax will be like 15% of then. It's time to celebrate and pay my bills. Not sure what I want to buy. Today is another day where I am not doing anything... That 's not even the funny part... The funny part is when my boss walk to me and I ask to give me some work. He said... "just do what you currently do" Which I have already done but now...now I have  nothing to do... Boss then went to say... "Just chill out" or something equivalent to it... Well that came from my bosses mouth... I really need to figure out something after next week. I'll just give one more week

Day 222: Thus, the week is complete

This was an awesome week where I really have nothing on my plate. Well not to say nothing. I did something on Thrusday that day. But other than that everything was free. I wonder when should I go to my boss and demand him for work if this continues on. I know that next week I want to maintain the streak of not working...

Day 221: Tales from the Crypt

Today business was as usual... I help RJ ace his exam. After he got around 80%, the head of the exam gave slack at RJ stating that he can't get that high if I didn't help him. I told that I didn't help him which it was true since the question were pretty straight forward. For the exam I got a free lunch out of it. Which is awesome...

Around lunch time, someone called me for a business thingy. They usually should call sales but they call me instead. I answer the questions and pass it to RJ after that...

You must be wondering why its called tales from the crypt. Since there is scary story behind this. Yesterday there was a story that one of the workers from a different company almost committed suicide. Not because of stress for work but she was possessed by an evil spirit. At first I didn't believe it as well but I went  security and saw the footage myself. The footage shows the girl running and one feet over the wall... with the guys stopping him. Upon further investigation is that the 'spirit' came from the girls house and it infected the girls itself...

Another creepy story is that the underground third floor is being renovated so all of the lights are down. The look is very creepy... and I park there everyday...

Genre: Action (Metriodvania)

Platform: GBA

What's is it about?

Nathan graves the next inline to become the vampire hunter travel to Dracula's castle to destroy him

Game consists of: 

- RPG elements 

- Exploration 

- Level grinding 

- Combat 

- Card combinations

What's good:

- The dual set up system (DSS) which give 100 different combinations that effects Nathan

- The castle enemies changes depending on your current level

- Level up is fun...

- There a dark souls like battle arena which sucks all your MP out... That's hard 

What's bad:

- Controls are a bit tank like

- You can't beat the final boss unless you are level 50 and above 

- It gets difficult to level up after you reach 50

- the last two DSS cards are harderst to get 

Status: Beat the game at 97.5% and at level 56

Score: Worth to be played at least once 

Day 220: Free period

Should I be worried since I have nothing to do? But performance evaluations are already out so I guess it doesn't effect my performance. The thing is my job is dependent on sales bringing us clients... And since sales are not bringing me anything who am I complaining that I don't have work. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be the same thing. But you don't see me complaining or asking for more work...

Day 219: Nothing exciting happen

On Monday was business as usual. Come for the weekly sales meeting. Got in some meetings but after lunch I was free... On Thrusday I'm on leave. Yay for that 

Day 218: An awesome way to end the week

This morning was a very stressful morning. Since the fact that I didn't had anything to eat and I had a client meeting at 1030. To make matters worse is that I was stuck in a jam and a lot of the roads are either block or just stop by the police. Also I wanted to pee so that didn't help. Arrive at the office went straight with RJ to a client meeting. I brought my proposal that I've done for the past 3 weeks there. During the meeting RJ just gave the proposal to the client. The client was extremely happy with it. Even better, one of my bosses was also happy about it. So happy that he didn't scream at me like last 2 weeks. Which is awesome. I left the meeting with a big grin on my face. 

After tooting my on horn to everyone, I ask my boss if I could be let go early to go to visit my mom in law in the hospital. He said go on and I say woohoo... Awesome way to end my day

Side notes...

My friend NH1 is getting a promotion. But the HR lady said that there are a caveats in getting a promotion. One of them is he needs to finish his part time degree in 2 years. Which I think its impossible since its a part time degree. Which begs me the question, why does my friend need a degree since it doesn't relate to his current job scope. So me an NH2 were giving him points for him to see HR on monday.

There was an interview at the office for someone new. First impressions, that guy looks like he could scream at someone. A beard does make you look more menacing.

Going out with the original Triple H group is always awesome. 

Day 217: I'm behind on my posts

Today is Saturday at its clost to 1am. Before I go to sleep let's recap what happen on Thursday. On Thursday we had another round of product training. But this time, the training went very smooth. We were done around lunch. Had lunch with the group. My colleague ask me to bring the instructor to lunch but I really didn't felt like it. I rather spend my 2 hours hanging out with my friends. Came back from lunch there was another product meeting with another vendor. Then my boss calls me up for another product meeting. This time I have another account to take care of/. Which I don't mind since I do have experience dealing with that kind of product. The meeting ended at  6:40pm. It was a good thing that I had someone pick up the kids sinc eI need to to rush to the hospital to see my mother-in-law. The funny thing is that the hospital from the office only is 6km apart. But it took close to 1 hour to arrive there....

On a side note...
There is this big project that we are working on and our team (not me) did something wrong. I don't know if we could recover from that. I do know that if we don't get this project... Heads will roll and someone will be on the chopping block.... Pity them

Another side note, in the morning I got a text from my mentor RJ saying that he is thankful that I am his friend and he appreciate my friendship. You know things like this makes working an awesome place to be in

Day 216: Year One

Today is my first year anniversary. Last year on this day is the day I set foot in my office and I never looked back. This is the best place I work at. But I haven't had that much places to work with. Today we had another course of training. This was even better than yesterday since the product is fun and exciting. I'll end the blog with my top 5 friends

What is it about?

The typical Sonic Adventure where he needs to save the animals from Dr. Eggman.

Game consist of:

- Running

- Jumping

- Boss fighting

What's good:

- The running

- The platforming is a mixed bag

What's not so good:

- The water stages 

- The platform really makes the flow of the game sucks

Status: Finish the game 

Score: A great way to waste your time

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow

The time when Konami rocks

Genre: Action 

Platform: GBA 

What is it about?

A castle appears and a young man name Soma Cruz must try to figure out why he is drawn to the castle

Game consist of:

- Hack and slashing 

- Soul collecting 

- Level up

- Platforming 

What's good: 

- The story is nice 

- Multiple weapons, armor and accessories 

- Boss fights are epic

- Souls collecting is fun 

What's bad: 

- Nothing 

Status: Got the 100% ending 

Score: A rare gem. Worth to be played multiple times 

Day 215: A week of traning

Yesterday I was on medical leave. So Tuesday is my first day at work. Fun fact: Yesterday was the record for the office of people asking for medical and emergency leave. Came to the office today for a training on the product. the training was good enough. nothing to surprising. Got a couple of good insights. I just found out that my mom in law is at the hospital due to a sprained ankle, so I ask for my boss if I could leave early. He was cool with it. I love my job. Tomorrow will be my one year anniversary.

Day 214: Things that happens

There are a lot of things that happen yesterday. Let's break it down:

1) One of the staff got the maximum for performance evaluations. Which is a 5

2) My friend RJ is staying for another 3 months 

3) One of our client managers got into deep water since she was pestering the client close to the point of board like annoying. She didn't take it well

Err... That's . Not that much happen yesterday 

Day 213: A lot of things happen today

Today I had a seminar to attend to at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Was waiting for RJ to arrive. He went to the wrong hotel so I had to wait for him. Once we got in less than 30 mins RJ was bored and ask me to play hookie... That was so awesome. We had some Briyani and Tandoori Chicken for brunch. After that I got back to the office and went for lunch with the geng. But I didn't eat, just drink. Later we got an email saying the performance review that will determine if we got the bonus. The magic number was 3. 3 means you got 2 months bonus. Low and behold my magic number is 3. Yay... Bonus for me...

Day 212: Gain a new skill

Today I spend the whole day with my man RJ. First we had a meeting to settle. Then we had a big lunch. It was nasi lemak with a ton of condiments. After that RJ was having a stiff neck. He went for a massage. I followed but didn't get one. There was no happy ending in the end. After lunch we tried to figure out how to do SAP. It took us close to 4 hours to figure it out. Before and after lunch. But I learn the system very fast and it was super easy. After settling it, it only took 5 mins to come out he report. RJ seems to be please and I felt appreciated. The funny thing is I am like a ghost in the office. No one was asking for expect my collegue. Which I don't mine. Tomorrow I have a seminar to go to. Yay... Off work

Day 211: I can't never catch a break

Yesterday my whole team was not at the office. And you know what that means. I can go home a bit early. Suddenly the guy from the product I am supposed to handle came and decided to do a meeting. That sucks. The meeting didn't went well. People were shouting, explicit words were said. Very unprofessional. After I finish my part of the meeting I left. Hopefully it won't bite me in the ass later.

Day 210: This is sad news

Yesterday was quite a shock. My only good friend in sales. RJ is finally quitting. It's not because of the money but he doesn't like the process of the company anymore. Which I don't blame him. He doesn't need the companies money to survive. After this I'll be working with people who doesn't quite care or respect me as a human being. I am more ready for that. Besides that I had to redo my claims since I can't put the different months claim the same form... Another week it will be exactly one year.

Table Top Racing

Good thing is game is cheap.

What is it about?

A spiritual successor to Mirco Machines. Small cars race in big areas

Game consists of:

- Microtransactions 

- Racing

- Shooting 

- Upgrading your cars

What's good:

- Lots of modes 

- Lots of cars

- Nice track design 

- Weapons are varied 

What's bad:

- The game ramps up difficulty after the their cup. 

- since this was a mobile game. It does ask you to spend money in order to win

- racers have super cars which seems impossible to catch. 

Status: keep losing the gold cup

Score: You'll end up rage quitting. 

Day 209: I love my job. Sometimes

This is going to be quick since I want to blog about something else

- My collegue failed his test. That kinda suck

- Got a meeting at 2. I was preoccupied. But the meeting was moved to 3. Just my luck.

- Played fun run 2 at my desk. Everyone were laughing quietly. 

Day 208: A good day

Yesterday morning had a banter with the team about what happen on day 207. Sent in a couple of emails and went for lunch. Played a bit of fun run and went back to the office. At the office my friend told me that she needs to improve her english before next year since the bosses has got an eye out for her. Got school in DNS which speaking off I need to refresh again. Overall it was an ok day. Today is Friday. Woooooooo
