What is it about?
The story about Odysseues journey home after the 10 year Trojan War

The Good
This movie must be seen in IMAX. It was entirely shot in IMAX and you can see everything that Nolan wants you to see
The movie doesn't have a break. It is close to 3 hours long but it feels so fast. 
They made it into simple english so it is easy to understand 

It was all done in practical effects with minimal CG needed. That looks amazing 

The action is also great

The Bad
Nothing much. It is a near perfect movie in my book 

The Ugly
Nothing much as well

Verdict: The must watch movie of the year. This is an IMA X experince 

Your Friends and Neighbours Season 2

A new billionaire has enter the neighbourhood

This season: A mew billionare came and is blackmailing coop to do bad things for him because stole from his house

Not enough stealing: This season has less things to steal. I like when he tries to justify the expensive things that he stole but this time is a little tame in the stealing 

Owen Ashe: The new bad guy is in everyone life. It makes it harder for them to do things because he is always there. 

Ending: The ending tied up loose ends (well sort off) but season 3 is coming and there will probably be some things to pay for 

Good Boy

 A horror story with a different prespective

What is it about?
It is a horror story but on the dogs point of view. We rarely see people faces and the camera angle is down so it is eye level of the dog

The Good
Very interesting premise seeing the dog side of the story 
Since it can't be just a dog romaing around. The humans provide the dialoge of the movie

The Bad
I don't really understand the story that much 
Since it is the prespective of the dog. The fright scenes are less scary since the dog is not that totally scared about it
 
The Ugly
So what happen with the ghost?

Psych Season 2

This show is getting better 

The writing is amazing: No idea how they make this show but the comedic timing between those two are amazing. I mean there are some funny episodes I mean really funny 

Chief: Chief Karen Vick has been added as a series regular. She is still interim cheif but it changed until the last episode 

Intro: This season, there is a Christmas Intro and an Intro in Spanish 

Cliffhanger: In ended with Shawn mom coming back in the picture. I forgot and thought her mom died but she just left them. Season 3 is going to be very interesting 

Week 29: Wife had an operation, H1 got her braces off

This week has been just a normal week. I notice that every week my friend keeps asking for money. But she pays me back so I am wondering what is going ot happen after the end of this month. We just hope of the best and continue doing what we are going to do. Oh and H1 got her braces off after 4 years 

Jul 12

• Today is our day leaving the hotel. So after another buffet breakfast and I did more classes. We packed our bags and left close to 12pm. 

• The journey was long and there were a lot of jams on the way. We evetually made it back at 3. 

• We stop by a shop to have lunch and some evening tea. 

• Came back home at around 430pm. I did some classes until 730pm. Cleaned the kitchen and call it a day. 

• I realised that I left my steamdeck charger at the hotel. A quick call to the hotel and they agreed to post it for me after I paid them 20. Its better than buying a new one. 

• Kids were happy to see us. 

Jul 13

• Today I got to do a lot of classes 

• The contractor came in the morning to install H1 build in cabinets 

• I did laundry at the laundromat because it was too much and I need it be settle as fast as possible 

• Talk to Nd and she explained that her day still owe a lot of loan sharks. So I decided to gave her another 10k to settle this debt. I don't know why I keep giving this but I know that I can't see a soul get hurt. And then we had a misunderstanding and then she got angry at me. Not sure if we bury the hatchet but knowing her she is always like that. I don't like fighting with her that much. 

• Ate some ayam gepuk for lunch/dinner

• Did more classes in the evening and went to sleep early. I think I want to start sleeping around 10. It seems that 5 hours is a good time to sleep. 

Jul 14

• Today after classes in the morning we pack our stuff and went to the hospital

• We got our room at 11 but wife won't go to the surgery room by 430

• While waiting I got to go eat some curry noodles 

• At 430pm I did some classes until 830pm since wife didn't came back until that time

• Had some hospital food for dinner

• Wife leg is full of bandages so she needs to be carried to the toilet

Jul 15

• 2nd day at the hospital. I still did classes but this time at the waiting area until 9am 

• Went for breakfast. Ate some roti canai and tosai with a fried chicken

• Came back to the room. Watched some shows. Went to sleep. Watched more shows 

• Around 5pm went for lunch/dinner. I ate some chicken rice which was delicious 

• The doctor finally came at 630 but it took us a a while to leave (we didn't settle our bill yet) 

• Came back home close to 930. The cleaner was still here. She did more work and I send her home close to 11. 

Jul 16

• Today after classes is going to be a busy day. So lets start 

• First took H1 to the dentist. She finally is going to remove her braces and wear a retainer. She requested an implant so it is going to be a while before she can have that. Since the process is going to take a while I gave her the money to take a grab back home and I can run my other errands 

• The next place is to stop at the first hospital to get wife's prescription 

• After that stop by the pharmacy to get wife's medication

• Then got to the hospital where wife was warded to settle the bill and get the medication which took a good 30 minutes

• After that head back home but not before going to eat some ayam gepuk at the new viral place. It was okay. Not that delicious but there was too many people without enough seats. In the end I shared a seat with someone and we became friend. I made a new friend who is a 48 year old lawyer. 

• Last stop is the clinic to get wife's monthly medication 

• Came home took a short nap and then start classes and did some exercises. 

• Slept around 10 and I am playing the game very slowly. 

Jul 17

• Today after class have to bring H1 again to the dentist and this time she needs to be x-ray for her implant fitting 

• Made some osyter chicken with the chicken thigh I bought last week 

• After friday prayer did more classes and played some Forza

• Nd text me and said she wants to borrow 600 and will pay me back next week. So far she hasn't cause me any reason to doubt her. So lets just give her the benefit of the doubt 

• Clean the kitchen in the evening and then call it a night around 11.

Jul 18

• Did lots of classes in the morning and then took a short nap.

• Order some chiense food for lunch

• Nd called and saying her baby sister need some money. But they will pay next week. So I gave her 700.

• Watched some Korean with wife and after that did my step count

• Mom in law cooked something so I had to pick it up. Get to call Nd for a while. She is busy getting ready to go to the office 

• Came home had some dinner with family 

• Played some Replaced and went to bed 

Next week we are going watch The Odyssey on IMAX. Other that, wife has her follow up with her doctor and that is about it. Nothing much on the horizon. I hope I can finish Replace this week but progress is going slow.

Kamen Rider 555 Paradise Lost

What if the bad guys won

What is it about?
An Alternate ending where the bad guys manage to change 90% of the world into Orphonochs and the hero has amnesia and is reported missing 

The Good
When it is a movie you can see the suit budget is a bit better 
Great fighting scene 

The Bad

The movie is a just a drag. I didn't enjoy it so much 

The Ugly
There is no ending since everything just end

Verdict: Can be missed. 

Kamen Rider 555

 A build your own Kamen Rider

Let me see if I understand the story:  In the world there are being calls the Orphenochs. They are like humanoid animals I guess. They are the superior being bend on controlling the world. The company that handles are called Smart Brain. The develop 3 belts to stop them which is part of the Kamen Rider story. 

Kamen Rider: So there are 3 Kamen Rider in the show. Kamen Rider Faiz which is the main one. Kamen Rider Kaiza which has some heavy firepower and lastly Kamen Rider Delta which is strong but very unstable. Each of them has their own robot compainion to help them. The Kamen riders are all modular with attachments that help boost their abilty  

I didn't like it: The characters are good. The story is just all over the place. In the end they try to tie the story but it just feel very convoluted. I don't understand what is the motivation of the bad guy. This also has to be the worse transformation of any Rider since they need to bring a briefcase with a bag everywhere 

In the end: The bad guys all died and the main hero lives. I guess that the best ending we can hope for. But yeah... 80% of the characters that we know all died. Next on the list is Kamen Rider Blade 

Bad Genius

Based on true events 

What is it about?
A poor students who needs to make money helps her rich friends to cheat on the SATs 

The Good 
The movie has a lot of numbers and it shows every details on what is going to happen
Very thirlling. Who knew that doing an exam can be so stressful. 

The Bad
The ending felt a bit rushed. The just need to end the movie right now but it didn't show anything at all
The exams sections are a bit confusing. It is just probably me. I don't understand the SAT

The Ugly
Nothing much

After Credit: No

Verdict: A must watch. I really enjoyed this movie 

Your Friends and Neighbours Season 1

I never understood being rich

What is it about? A guy who is living the best life ever. Got everything taken away from him and now he funds his lavish lifestyle by robbing his rich friends houses. 

This show is good: It shows that money doesn't buy happiness. You may think it buys you happiness by getting the things you want. But rich people will always wants more. Everything is not up to their satisfaction. In the end they feel very empty

Stuff he stole: Everytime he steals something he will give an overview on what the item is. An expensive bag, piece of jewellery. He takes things that people won't miss since they have so much of them. To be rich and buying yourself crap you don't really want

Season 1: It ended all the loose threads of the story. So you can watch one season and be very satisfied with the ending.

Week 28: Going on another business trip

Another week, another time that my friend keeps asking for money. I think this is going to be the last month I will let her to do this me. I pray that she will pay me back one day. Here is hoping, 

Jul 5

• Did lots of classes in the morning

• Send H2 to the dentist to check weather she needs a root canal. The doctor says that we have to monitor for another month to see if ti necessary 

• Send mom to the airport. She is going back and probably won't see her until August 

• Took a nap

• Ordered some Sushi and spend time watch Korean drama with wife.

• In the evening took a walk and talk to Nd for an hour. This was the longest I got to spend with her and she ahd a lot to talk to. 

• Finish some classes, Forza and slept close to 11

Jul 6

• Today in the morning after class I took a nap and then missed a call from Nd 

• Went to see my cousin to get some mangos mom friend bought for me 

• Bought incredients to make ceaser salad sandwhiches. It was great but wife didn't like it that much 

• Did some classes in the evening 

• Played some games and went to bed.

Jul 7

• Today after classes in the morning did laundry 

• Got to talk to Nd in the morning which was nice but after that radio silence which makes me really worried 

• Did 3 loads of laundry and ordered groceries to make some pasta for the girls

• Stop by wife office to give a gift to her friend

• Went to the hospital for wife to get an MRI scan 

• Had tea of tosai and then got some bad poops 

• After that went to our usual mall to do some shopping and had some braised beef noodles. I accidentally took a whiff of some shrimp chili oil which cause me to sneeze uncontrollably

• Did some classes and went to bed 

Jul 8

• After classes this morning had to send wife to her office while I did some shopping

• Besides shopping I took out 24k. 4k to pay my best friend and 20k for the kids. I need to pay them back and I will do it eventually 

• Nd text me that due to her current financial woes she can't take a loan for a couple of years. Which I have already anticipated. Nthing much I Can do about it but just move on and lets hope of the best 

• Went to the hospital around 12. Had some nice chicken rice for lunch and saw the doctor. Everything was done less than 2 hours

• Got back home and get a nap before doing classes till 830. 

• Had some leftovers and went to bed while playing a game and saw some TV. 

Jul 9

• This morning after class me and H2 had to go to the children hospital to have a yearly checkup 

• Me and Nd had a fight. She needs more money and after getting some misunderstanding and I finally cave in and gave her 3k. Sigh. I really pity her but I hope she can pull herself around 

• H1 boyfriend is here at home today to help her move her stuff out. She is getting a new wardrobe fitted in so they need space 

• I cooked some chicken curry today but it finished before dinner 

• Went to clean the car and fill up gas 

• Pack for tomorrows trip 

Jul 10

• This morning we are going on a trip so I did some classes in the morning and took a short nap before making our way there

• Pick up two of wife friends and we left the university around 10 and arrived close to 12.

• We had lunch at a cool spot. Ate lots of asam pedas.

• Check in the room. They gave us two double bed and the beds were very unconfortable

• Did some classes and for dinner I went for a walk around the town to go to McDonalds.

Jul 11

• Classes were done at the hotel today. The hotel has a different partition so I can teach without making too much noise 

• At 630 we went for break. The spread was good and I think I over ate 

• 830 I continue more classes till 1230. After that I was invited to the company lunch but I was still full from breakfast. So I ate a bit but I did have a lot of dessert.

• I spend most of the day in the room. Watching tv, playing games and sleeping till the end. This is a good vacation in my opinion 

This week we are going back from my wife’s work trip. Wife has an operation and H1 is getting a new wardrobe. Other than that I have nothing else on the horizon

The Roses

Marriage is messy if you don't make time 

What is it about?
Two couples that met each other try to navigate being married after one is successful than the other 

The Good
This is a real life relationship. This movie makes you feel that they have been married for years
It is sasd that all you need in marriage is time and effort and we don't get that at all 
British humor is really witty and dark 

The Bad 
It's not the story per se. It is just how it ended in the end. It was very messy 
The ending... that is just a buzzkill 

The Ugly 
Nothing much

After Credits: no

Verdict: I really enjoy this movie. But is not for everyone. If you plan on getting married you should watch this

Young Sherlock

Before he was the popular detective. 

What is it about? Sherlock is a troublemaker is send to Oxford and a scout until he met a another student called James Moriarty 

Not the great detective: He doesn't ahve a good eye for deduction, he doesn't know how to fight. Basically he is Sherlock in training 

English is hard: Talking old English is really hard sometimes for me to understand but I really like the way they talk 

Season 2? They say season 2 is confrim, there are some things unanswered 

Toy Story 5

This really hits home 

What is it about?
The toys are facing extension with the introduction of tech 

The Good 
Smarty Pants is the breakout character of the movie 
The story is very heartfelt and the ending makes me want to be a kid again 
Woody and Buzz has a secondary role which is great since they are old 

The Bad
Lilypad story wasn't expanded too much. But you really can't beat tech and that is a bigger storyline
Toys can't beat cars

The Ugly
Nothing much 

After Credits: 2 credits with the last is just more of a rap 

Verdict: A great cartoon. A must watch 

Psych Season 1

A new Series to binge 

What is it about? Shawn Spencer is a dropout who can't take anything serious but what he has its a very good eye for observation. Since he is always in trouble with the law. He tricks the police department in saying he is a psychic. 

Who is Gus: Burton Guster is Shawn's best friend. He works as a pharmasuitical representitive.. Shawn is always getting him intro trouble an dout of work which makes for some hillarious circumstances 

The Police: Caron Lassiter, Juliet O'Hara and Karen Vick are the people who work in the Santa Barbara police department. They are really at awe at his skills eventhough it seems absurb 

The Dad: Shawn dad is a retired cop who seems through Shawn bullshit but he also knows that he is good as what he does. So he tried to encourage him to be the best. 

Week 27: H2 has finished grade 8

This month is done and a new month is here. Mom is here and as usual I love having her around. It means that I don't need to cook that much. Other than that, H2 has finished grade 8. Alhamdulilah. Now its time for a long break and see what happens this 2 months 

Jun 28

• After classes and cleaned the house a bit. Wife was not a home. She had a mental breakdown thinking about things that happen 6 years ago. Days like these I wish life would be different for me. Took me a while to calm wife down but I am honestly getting sick and tired of this 

• After wife calm down she wanted to go out and do somet stuff but because we left late we only send the whole time at the mall

• We ate at Tony Romas. I think that place is not worth the money any more. PRoabbly not going there again 

• Bought some shelves for the girls 

• Came home at 7pm and I bought some supermarket sushi and made wife some instant noodles 

Jun 29

• Woke up this morning with a message for Nd. I am happy that she texted me 

• After classes send wife to work 

• Cooked some roast chicken with veggie soup 

• H2 paper today is Malay and she finish the paper but not sure if she can do it

• Took a nap and did classes in the evening even after pickup up wife from work 

• Clean the kitchen, took the cats at the back, bath and wanting to play some games. 

• Finished Mixtape (4/5)

Jun 30 

• Today for the first time that my morning classes are not full. There were no people. It is probably due to the fact that Japan lost against Brazil 2-1 and everyone is probably sad or asleep

• Bought some games for the steam summer sales. 

• Wife was in the mood again so it is really annoying since she wants me to stick around with her all the time. 

• Nd text me that she needs 4k in her bank account to approve the loan to go through. She borrowed 100k for me which is more than I needed. So I could save the money for future use 

• Went out with Ice cream with wife after picking up H2. Today her paper was Computer Science. She said it was hard but she manage to do it 

• Cooked some pasta today with real chicken sausages. It was delicious 

• After Ice cream test drive a Perodua EV car. It was great and the price is not bad as well 

• Came back home and installed the nitori shelf with H2. It was hard and required two people to do it but eventually we manage to do it together. H2 is really the son that I didn't have. 

• Did classes and went to bed by 11:30pm 

With that June is a wrapped. It didn't end the way I wanted but I will survive I guess. Good news is that I may be getting some of my money back which is great. Other than that I socred some BTS tickets. Highlight of the month. I am one really luck person. I should be thankful for everything I get eventhough I wish I had more. 

Jul 1

• Did classes today and after that went to go groceries. Making pesto with chicken

• Manage to talk to Nd. It was great since it has been a while we caught up and we had a lot of stories to tell. 

• Today H2 paper was science and she said she could do this one. 2 more days left and these paper are arabic and quran which for her is considered to eb the hardest paper.

• Went to eat Naknak with wife for lunch and after that she had a doctors appointment for her heel and back 

• We arrvied at the doctor at 4pm and had to wait until 7pm to get everything done. She needs to do a scan and the schedule that for next week. 

• Came back home close to 8 and did classes until 1030pm.

Jul 2

• This morning did classes. I notice that my classes are getting less and less no idea why. But as long I maintain the minimum amount I should be okay 

• Wife needs to go to work to I send her to work and packed her lunch at the food court

• Pick up H2. Her paper was arabic and she said it was okay

• Mom came from her work 

• We had lunch at the food court and then we went to the mall to watch Toy Story 5 (5/5)

• Came home I did more classes and then after classes went out with wife for some indian food dinner 

Jul 3

• Did classes in the morning and then help mom st up and buy stuff before her guest arrived

• Wife didn't want to leave the room so she stayed inside 

• All her guest arrived before 11. 

• H2 has finished Grade 8. Yay. Her last paper was quran and she said it was easy. She and her friends are going to the mall to celebrate and do some karaoke 

• After friday prayers ate lunch and waited for the guest to leave

• Did some classes for the evening and call it a day as usual 

Jul 4

• After classes this mornign we went to q bistro for some lunch with mom and H2. Pack something for H1. Ordered something for wife 

• Wife had a Kpop concert somewhere far away so I need to send her but she will be going back by train herself 

• Came back home and did a bit more classes before we had to go to Seremban for a wedding 

• The wedding so placed in a cramped place without enough sitting. So we ate and left. All my cousins were outisde so we got to catch up with some of them.

• Came back home around 1030 and wife and kids are already back. They ordered some mcdonalds. 

• Sleeping feeling a bit annoyed. Hate being annoyed 

Next week is sending my mom to the airport, H2 has a dentist appointment and wife has a doctors appointment to do her scans. We are also going to Melaka for a work holiday. Work for wife and holiday for me. 

Mixtape

A game about friendship and the end of an era

This game has been in all publications and being touted as the best game of the year. High praise all over. The story is amazing and the gameplay (or lack there off) is fun. I for one tried this game and my review is not like the others. What is Mixtape about. Three high school friends spending their last day before one of them is moving to New York. Basically this game happens in one night of a couple of hours. The game uses a custom soundtrack (hence the term mixtape) to get into the mood of the gameplay 

This is not a game. This is basically a game on rails or an interactive movie. That is why everyone can play this game. The controls are easy. There is no fail state since they made it very accessible to everyone to play. The game rangers from using the joystick to move your skateboard or simple one button pressues for the action that you need to do. The gameplay all depends on what is music is playing on the background. The music plays an important role in the gameplay but to tell you the truth I am not a big fan of 70-80s music that much. I know some of them but not all of them. Some are great while some are a hit and a miss. 

Not to say I didn't like this game but this game was not the 10/10 like everyone seems it to be. Its probably the story only relates to a certain type of demographic (basically kids who are finishing high school) so I don't have any stakes in the sotry. The backstory is more interesting that what is happening overall as a whole. The characters also doesn't get cl,osure which sucks for a videogame. But it was never intended to do that. It was basically to record the last day of highschool and it set out to do actually that. I am glad I played it at least once so I can see what is all the rave is about. Overall I can't recommend mixtape to anyone. The story was mid. The gameplay was no existent and overall everything just was left hanging. I did love the art direction and the cartoon like nature of the graphics (complete with 16 frames per second) Overall I give mixtape a B-Rank
