It's been a while since I played a good 2D Ninja Gaiden. Checking the blog the last I played a 2D one was in 2017. So how excited when I found out that there is a smiilar 2D version of this game. It does not dissapoint. Since this game is really straight forward and there nothing much to give a detail description about. Let me give you the background. You play a young ninja from the Hayabusa clan named Kenji (I really thought we get to play as Ryu but he was just a cameo only) and halfway through the game you play as a clanswoman from a different village name Kumori. Due to unforseen circimstances (part of the story which I will tell in a bit) Kumori died and her sprit got stuck in Kenji. Thus the game has a very interesting mechanic. 

Gameplay is like a typical Ninja Gaiden game where you have to go from point A to point B. You climb, jump, dive and avoid obstacles on the way. What makes this game unique is that, Kenji has a melee attack while Kumori has a short range air attack which you can use only 3-4 times before neededing to recharge the meter. There is a charge attack for the heavy enemies where you can get by hitting a specific enemy or charge your meter (which will cause your health to decrease) 

What I liked about this game is the action is face paced. You contastly need to keep moving to stay alive. This game is hard but not unforgiving. Since if you hit something it is probably your fault. The bosses are challenging and you feel a certain sense of excitement when you beat a difficult boss. 

What I don't like about this game is that after a while it is just a lot of repetition. There is no way to get an easy mode for this game so you'll end up dying a lot. After act 4 I just open the cheat engine to finish the game. It is challenging but I am not up for that challenge. The story is sub par which means that I didn't really care that much about the story. 

In the end I finish the game but I can't unlock the rest of the secret stages since you need an S rank for that and who has the time. Overall I give this game an A-Rank

Week 50: I am getting a bit too tired for this

This week is just another week. I figure that every week my friend keeps asking for money and I keep giving it to her. I know one day she will bounce back and help me. Other than that I am going to love myself more. I should stop caring about what I can't get and just be happy on what I can get. 

Dec 7

• After classes went to do some groceries and cooked some oilo for the kids. I did double the amount so it was kind a overboard. 

• Took a nap and then more classes

• In the evening gave 3 cointaner of of pasta to wife's student 

• After exercise print H2 mock exam questions and then I finished Ninja Gaiden Ragebound (4/5)

Dec 8 (unmemorable) 

• Cook some shrimp fried rice today 

• Wife took the car to work 

• Did classes in the evening. 

• In the evening wife and I had a big fight. She wants me to marry someone else because she can't give me sex. I think I tried to make it work but I know that, I can't change her and she makes a big deal of everything. So I think it is for the best. I am just going to act happy nowadays in front on her. But inside.. I think for real. There are going to be good days and bad days. It is never going to be the same again. Sigh... I do know Allah is listening... So I just wait and this is my test... maybe after 20 years I'll get something back. Maybe sooner. Who knows. 

Dec 9 

• This morning is the aftermath of yesterday. Wife is still hurt and I don't know what I should do. After this I should just don't speak up my mind since it what always got me into trouble

• For lunch I had ayam gepuk and that last me the whole day

• For dinner I cook some ayam kicap

• H1 needs me to send her some notes. As well that she lost her pants and she is really being anal about it. Honestly really annoying. So I send her notes and well pack her some dinner as well

Dec 10

• Today I feel that I want to cook some thai food. So I made some thai green curry. tomyam and crispy fried egg (which was a bit salty)

• H2 paper was okay but she had her period. 

• In the evening after classes I had to go pick up H1 and her friend. They are planning to go to the city tomorrow only to cancel late at night and say they just want to stay at home. 

• Someone was using my best friend twitter account. She had to report it to the police and deactive her account again.

Dec 11

• Public holiday today for everyone which means I can do a lot of extra classes. 

• Wife students came to the house to conduct an interview with me on the sustainbility of driving and using a petrol car. I think I aced it. 

• I cooked some chicken curry, with ayam gepuk sambal and tempeh and fried tofu for the students who interviewed me and H1 friend. 

• In the evening friend was stressed because she needed more money so I will help. I don't know when will I say no but I do know this that if you do good things. Good things will come to who wait 

Dec 12

• Wife didn't go to work today

• Today I cook some butter chicken. I made a new recipe since wife's students are coming tonight to prep for tomorrow's bbq

• Went to the bank again. My best friend need some money for lawyer fees. Today she got betrayed by people who she trusted. The more I listen to her issue, the more I feel sorry for her. I hope see will pull through

• Wife was in bad mood today. I ordered a grumpy cat doll. Really matches her mood. She is upset because the girls who are organising the event are doing things not that organised. We only have 5 pices of chicken and we are inviting 30 people. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting event

• I went to the mall to buy some stuff for the bbq 

• H1 is being rude to me all the time. Sometimes I get upset and her mouth. She can't just answer nicely. It okay. They say sabr is good for your soul. But I know tha tone day her mouth will get her into a lot of trouble. 

Dec 13

• Wake this morning and I heard that the girls left at around 2-3 am in the morning but they didn't come back until close in the afternoon 

• I bought some trays for them to be used after sending my Switch to be repaired. 

• The bbq went well. Wife friends came around 19 people came and there a lot of food. H1 even brough her boyfriend to come. After 5pm the party died down a bit and everyone left close to 7pm

• Ordered some Mr Mee for them since they were hungry. I don't know why that bbq food is not that filling. Maybe it was all the process stuff in it. 

• At 9pm went to pick up the cleaner. 

Another two weeks left for the year. I need to start writing my year end review. This week is going a be a bit busy. I hope that I can still do classes as well. I have to pick up my best friend from the airport and on Saturday I have my high school reunion which is going to be an interesting situation. I want to watch Zootopia 2 but when. 

The Greatest Beer Run Ever

What is it about?
Chickie Donaghue plans to bring beer to all of his friends who are serving the war in Vietnam 

The Good
The story is simple yet we get to see the effects of war happening
After a while we can see that war really there are no winners. Everyone is suffering 
It starts out as fun but in the end it turns very real and sad. 

The Bad
Some of the events are true. Some are not so true since they need to make this appeal to everyone 

The Ugly 
Nothing. This was a good movie 

After Credits: Yes pictures of everyone 

Verdict: I like it. Not for everyone since it deals with war and death. 

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

The best duo in the MCU 

What is it about? After the events of Avengers Endgame. The world tries to live in a time without Steve Rogers. The shield goes to the goverment. Sam is struggling to keep his family legacy and Bucky is trying to make amends for the things he done 

Shooting: The show was made during the pandemic so we can see there are some concessions had to be made. It is still an entertaining show. But there are no big set pieces only small close spaces 

The Action: There are only 5 big action scenes involving both Sam and Bucky. The Falcon suit is only used 3 times but the new Captian America suit is awesome 

Louisiana Hero: Best theme song in the MCU. This show is awesome middle point to tell the story of Sam and Bucky. They both will get the respected movies and can't wait to see them back in Avengers Doomsday

Sinners

I can see the hype for this movie about 

What is it about?
In the 1920s a pair of black brothers try to open a blues club and then suddenly something unexpected happens. 

The Good
The story is fast pace once it starts in the club scene 
Really gory scenes that involves the killing 
Cinematography is fantastic

The Bad
I don't get the end that much

The Ugly
Nothing much 

After Credits: Yes

Verdict: A great movie. A must watch 

The Penguin

No one he is considered the baddest crime boss in Gotham 

What is it about? Takes places after the event of The Batman movie. It is the story on how Penguin, a low level enforcer claw his way to the top of the crime syndicate 

Performance: Both Colin Farrel (which does not look like him) and Cristin Miloti (which won her a golden globe) gave one of their best performance of their career. You really feel the hurt and struggles of their characters

No Batman: Where is Batman? But it makes sense is the city is big. Batman has probably other things to do but it is kind of weird that there are also not that many cops around 

In the end: There is not going to be a season 2. But the Penguin will return in the next Batman movie in 2027. 

The Grand Tour: One for the Road

All great things must come to an end 

What is it about?
Jeremy, Richard and James embark on their final journey together. Their final journey is to Zimbabwe

The Good
The boys this time did things their own way. Their own cars, own route and even own accomodation. 
Still same issues for every road trip, breakdowns, shenenigans and just 3 blokes having a good time 
I am going to miss this show. This show always brought me joy over the last 25 years. It is sad to see it go. I don't think there will ever be a show like this again 

The Bad
Nothing, a perfect sendoff to a perfect show

The Ugly
No more Grand Tour. But hey we can still watch the reruns

Verdict: A must watch if you are a fan of the show. If you haven't watch the show before. What are you waiting for
