Week 50 - Wife got a new car

It is almost the end of the the year and wife just got a new car. She got herself an Mini compact SUV. The handling is tight and the car is a good car with all the safety features. Other than that I am trying to finish up my 2 final games before this year. Not sure if I can finish it but I want to try 

Dec 8

• Finally Mom in law left. But the cleaner complained that she was here asking her to do a lot of work which makes her had to stop to do help her. This is annoying so I hope that she won't come again next week.
• Watched Moana 2
• Had Sushi with the family

Dec 9
• H2 has no school till Wednesday
• Wife had to go to work the whole day today
• Send creamy to get himself check and get another 2 weeks of medication
• It rained 18 hours straight

Dec 10
• Made some Tenpanyaki
• Went to the bank to settle the car payment. All 71750 of it
• Wife was not feeling so good today.

Dec 11
• Today I made chicken katsu curry
• Public holiday for H1 and wife
• H2 first paper is science. She said it was good

Dec 12
• H2 has english
• Pick up wife medicine and had some fried chicken as a reward for myself
• H1 cooked some pasta at night.

Dec 13
• H2 is super sick. After her paper she came back home early and went straight to bed
• Made some smashed potatoes and roast chicken

Dec 14
• We took the car at lunch time. It was a beautiful white compact SUV. Wife loves it
• Took the car to be tinted and then had a burger while waiting for 3 hours

Next week my best friend is coming back. My mom is coming as well as H2 last week of school before a 2 week holiday. Other than that nothing much I am looking forward too

Moana 2

Same problem with sequels. The first one is better

What is it about?
Moana has to find an island to connect the whole seas with each other

The Good
The secondary characters provided a good balance between Moana and Maui. I don't think thtat this can work if she was alone
The story is not have as bad. There are some action sequences as well that are good

The Bad
Songs wasn't that catchy. 
There are not many Jokes that land 
The movie sets up for a Moana 3 which I think is also unnecessary 

The Ugly 
There is a bad guy for the sake of having a bad guy 

After Credits: Yes 

Verdict: The kids enjoyed it, so I enjoyed it as well 

Arcane Season 2

Will this make me check the game out? Probably not

The story so far: Everyone of the main characters have issues that have to be dealt with. The good news is that this show did wrap up all loose threads 

Art sytle: The art style is good. Checking the game, the art of the game is not as detailed and sometimes different from the series. 

Final epic fight: I feel that they ended everything to easily with a last 40 minute battle which clearly looks so easy for the main boss to be defeated 

Gaming adaptations: Are actually getting good. If I didn't know this was part of a game, I would enjoy the storyline no less. I wonder they will do another adventure set in this universe. 

Week 49 - Sold my wife car today

The beggning of the last month of 2024. We need to wrap things up here right now. What better way to start by change my wifes car after 10 years. It seems like a great deal

Dec 1 • Bought food for lunch • Teach H1 on how to drive around the town. She did quite well. • Wife and Mom in Law came to get a massage • H1 make some cookies

Dec 2
• H1 is fasting
• H2 has a tight chest. It turns out it was just Gerd. So no dairy and tea for a while
• Wife try some VR for the first time and enjoyed it

Dec 3
• Made some fish curry today

Dec 4
• Had lunch with wife. Ate some ramen
• Dad in law came. I made some fried rice
• Brought the girls to the mall
• Saw a new car. So far it looks good so we are probably getting it

Dec 5
• Went to send the car to be appraised. Got 14.5k for it. Wife was happy
• Mother in Law decided to stay because she doesn't want to go home
• Pick up H1 and she is still driving back to home. She is getting good in driving.
• Wife had conjuctivitis and we had to go to the clinic late a night to get medicine for her eye
• My corn on the finger was pop and it was painful. Hopefully it will get better.

Dec 6
• Sold our Kia Cerato today. It was a good car. Lots of memories. Thank you for everything car. Hopefully you have a better owner in the future
• Went car hunting with wife. Testing a Toyota Yaris. Didn't like it that much
• Test an S70. Love it but the price is way overbudget

Dec 7
• Mom in law is still here
• Brought some breakfast at a local joint which is so overcrowded but the food was good
• Brought mom and wife to the mall
• H2 got exams
• My sister in law came with her kids to take the frezeer as well my nephews came to test the Quest 3

This has been a stressful week due to my mother in law staying for 5 days. Honestly I hope next week will fare better. This week H2 has her finals but other than that nothing much is happening. I need to start finishing my games. I have around 20 days to finish 2 more games and then next year will hopefully be different

Meta Quest 3

This is an awesome piece of equiptment 

So I was planning to get either a PSVR2, a Steamdeck or this thing. In the end I choose this because I really want to play Batman. So far it has been 2 weeks with this and I love every minute of this. This has taken part as one of my primary excerise machine which means that my bicycle is taken a back seat. Which is a problem for me since I need to also do some cardio. What I found about the Quest 3 is that is it easy to set up. Games require some time to get used to but once I do. It is an awesome expeirnce. I wish I can play more of it but it is hard to divide time to do work, life and play VR. Only when I have the time. So I think this will become a permanent fixture in my gaming life. Plus I know how to sideload apps. So gaming is much more fun now than ever. 

I Saw the Tv Glow

This movie has a deeper meaning to it I guess

What is it about?
A kid makes friends with an older kid based on their love with a tv show 

The Good
At first I thought this was a thriller and the first half of the movie was exciting.

Narration provided makes it a compeling watch 
Like how they make a show inside a movie 

The Bad
I honestly don't get this movie waht is it ab out. After googling it, it is about a lot of things. Basically the anxiety of life I guess

The Ugly
The ending sucks. Really sucks 

After Credits: No

Verdict: You don't need to watch this. It is not that fun 

Kamen Rider Black

Starting my Kamen rider marathon

Why? The best way to keep motivation to exercise on my machine is that only watching Kamen Rider while I am on it.  So lets start with the only one that I remember fondly which was Kamen Rider Black

What is Kamen Rider: Basically the character is a cybrog than turns into a bug like hero and stop mutants from invading earth. Kotaro has the power to Hensin (Transform) in to Kamen rider. Kamen Rider has powers like, super hearing, multi eyes, power strips, his belt can go give out a strong flash which seems to be the answer to everything. Lastly he has two bikes one can go offroad and one can go faster than light (I know it sounds rediculous. 

This show is dumb: Really the story is not bad, but everything happens at a praticular place. No one can seem to handle the mutants and the hero Kotaro always is at the right place at the right time. Plus because this is a 1988 show. The effects are not that bad but the editing is terrible. Sometimes the will be in a park which will pan to a different place at a time. 

In the end: He defeats the bad guys and its left alone. Really everything he fought. The peace but in the end he didn't get to be with the people he loves. That's a sucky ending
