Week 13: The final week or Ramadan

This week is the last week of Ramadan. Besides my friend having an accident which was scary. My mother in law making drama. This is week has gone great. I manage to cook different almost everyday. But I wouldn't recommend that. 

Mar 23 (Day 22)

• It rained the whole day today and it was very heavy
• After classes I bought things to cook. Today we are expecting visitors in the form of wife cousin and nephew. So I made my famous (since I can't make it without any reciepe) claypot-less chicken rice.
• My work collegue has block that student because after calling him out he didn't reply. Clearly he has issues.
• Slept early because I'm tired

Mar 24 (Day 23)
• After class today me, wife and H2 went to the see wife's psychiatrist. Besides increasing her medication dosage, the doctor also inform us that wife is no longer allowed to see her mom until further notice. So that means that this Eid will be celebrated without seeing her mom
• Wife best friend father had a blood vessel ruptured in his brain so its rushed to the ICU for emergency surgery. After 6 hours the operation went well. Now its just waiting for 30 days to see how he is. They say chances of survival are slim. Really makes me worry about the mortality of life sometimes. The father was supposed to go to hajj this year. Physically looks fit. That shows if Allah wants to pull something from us. He can do it immediately.
• Wife wanted to go to see her friend but doctor advice not to, so we went to ikea instead to get some stuff for Eid celebration.
• After Ikea we went to get some Hot Bird and went home

Mar 25 (Day 24)
• Today I be making two different things. Pesto pasta for the girls and bubur lambuk
• I love bubur lambuk, but too make it takes a long time to make. I think this thing is the best I made so far. I gave 4 containers to my friends and family.
• Today was an easy there, wife and H2 went out to hang with their friends for iftar which means I am alone today. H1 is here but she is on break of fasting

Mar 26 (Day 25)
• No class in the morning since me and H1 need to go to the hospital. She complains abou her back
• We waited for 5 hours until we got to see the doctor
• The doctor told us that there is nothing wrong with with H1., its probably her posture.
• H1 wanted some cake and i bought some other stuff to cook for today
• Comment on reddit about my teaching event and got trolled by people who said I am not that good in English. I'm like awesome... I got an awesome job with minimal effort

Mar 27 (Day 26)
• Today we have a lot of errands.First we went to wife workplace to drop some stuff and took a flu shot
• After that we went to the hospital to pick up wife's prescription medication and also bought some cookies
• We went to another hospital to visit dela best friend. Her dad is still in the ICU with no change insight. After 1 week if there no change. He would have to be intubated. He already paid to go to hajj and it seems that he can't go and the family had to ask for a refund which they won't get

Mar 28 (Day 27) unmemorable

• Today mom is coming here but before that I cooked some masak lemak early in the morning
• Pick up mom in the evening and she wasn't feeling well. She has vertigo so she can't stand that well. It was bad until the time for iftar. But after that she felt better
• They said that raya may fall a bit earlier so that means that fasting will only be 29 days.
• My best friend had an accident. They fell asleep on the wheel and the car was wreck. Alhamdullilah they were okay. But the airbag left a very bad bruise on the chest. It is going to take a while for them to recover. But I'm thankful that they are with family.

Mar 29 (Day 28)

• Pick up the maid today.
• Went to the mall to find my clothes. I am fat now so I it was very difficult to find clothes. I think after the celebration I want to eat less and exercise more. They say never give up so I am not going to do that.
• My sister in law is here. She wants me to cook for my mom in law. Really I don't want to do that but because I love them I am going to do it
• My friend is recovering, they are a doctor so they know better but they are not taking their painkillers so thats hard
• Today just ate leftovers and the girls ate nando's

Next week will be Eid. So that means I am going to be on holiday as well for 4 days (or not?). No classes, just me relaxing.

Star Trek Discovery Season 5

A satisfying finale 

In this season: A lot has change. The crew was seperated into different roles but reunite for one final big mission 

Best season: This show is one of the best Star Trek series every. Every season it just get better and better. The only problem is that there is not that many space battles. EVeryone gets their time to shine.  

Discovery: It is one of the best ship. Coupled with Zora as its AI, Discovery itself as a character makes this show worth watching

Ending: It ends with a time jump. Everything is okay with the world. Discovery will return one day... Eventually but for now. Let it rest, until the next time. Verdict: A must watch if you are Trek fan 

Assault: Retribution

Still manage to play game this month

Genre: Shooter
Platform: PS1
Release Date: 1998

This game is basic to the core. What do you do. Your run, jump and shoot while avoiding some obstacles. That's about it. It is fun and you can basically just mash a button and run straight till the end. The controls are a bit tank like with jumping can be particularly frustrating. Other than that its a short game which you could finish in under 2 hours. Overall B-Rank

Week 12: I got a student kicked out of class

Awesome week besides the title (even that was considered awesome) but other than that another week of fasting and we have one more week to go 

Mar 16 (Day 15)
• Today sister in law is coming down so I decided to cook something special.
• Following the recipe I decided to cook some Briyani Rice with chicken. Grilled lamb with black pepper sauce and some vegetables.
• The rice turned out perfectly but sister in law took the girls to the food market so they bought a lot of food for them that they ate a little. So I gave some to the neighbours. But I didn't hear back form them. Not sure if they like it or not.
• Bought some cookies for Eid

Mar 17 (Day 16)
• Today cooking some smahed potato and mushroom cream chicken.
• Went to get some more cookies from wife friend
• Wife didn't like my cooking so today so cooked something else
• H2 ask me to go get ice cream after I got back home from praying

Mar 18 (Day 17)
• Today I decided to cook some squid because yesterday she didn't ate that much. So today I cook all her favourite dishes. Made some pasta and butter chicken for the girls
• Sister in law went home
• We picked out vacation spot for EID so on the second day we are going on vacation
• My neighbour gave me some curry noodles. I was planning to cook it tomorrow but I decided to make something different

Mar 19 (Day 18)

• Today I made some kuey tiow since I felt like noodles
• The road to my house was in renovation so I had to took the long way there

Mar 20 (Day 19)

• Today wife wanted some burgers so I cook burgers two ways which is beef and fish
• Went to bank to get some money for EID. The line was so long. I talk to two nice ladies that worked in the building. They were also waiting to get a lot of money as well. It took 2 hours 30 minutes until the whole ordeal was done
• Took the cats to the vet since they have fleas

Mar 21 (Day 20)

• Today since I am busy I didn't cook. So we all had nasi lemak today.
• Managed to do a lot of classes which was great. The not great part is that the student who took my picutre was there. I decide to give him the benefit of the doubt because the platform didn't report it to him. Class went okay but he was being a bit creepy. He ask for my instagram which I wasn't comfortable in giving unless I really like that person so I gave. After the class ended he took my picture again!.
• So I reported him to the helpdesk. The helpdesk got all the info they need and he was terminated from the platform. I thought it ended there but he found me on facebook and ask me did I ratted him out. I just block and didn't reply back.
• Pick up the cleaner and talked about mom in law. Mom in law is appreantly getting worse. No money and have to take care of leeches. What to do. I don't know if I want to pity her or not. She made her own bed and have to deal with it.

Mar 22 (Day 21)

• Today wife wanted me to stay besides her, so I didn't do anything yesterday but read the Quran
• In the evening we went to the mall to get their glasses fixed. I also bought Sushi for Iftar
• I also found out that the person that reported knew my other friend. I told her the story and she want on confronting that person. That person didn't even admitted into doing it. So my friend went on giving her a piece of her mind.

• Pick up H1 from her university. She is off for 2 weeks

Thats it for this week. We have one more week of fasting and then it is going to be Eid soon 

The Gorge

I don't even know what genre is this 

What is it about?

Two unknows are test to guard a massive gorge for a year. Eventually they got bored and became friends 

The Good 

The storyline is good but its all over the place 
Both characters play their roles well

Week 11: Wife is very depressed

I Freaking hate my mother in law. But this time she has cross the line by making my wife super depressed. When she is depressed she is taking it out of me and I don't do anything to deserve this. This week sucks Mar 9 (Day 8) unmemorable

• Mom in law and cleaner went home but not before leaving a baggage of trauma for wife. She wasn't having it. Mom in law action is making her having post traumatic stress issues when she was a child
• So the whole day yesterday she was upset and crying most of the time. Her mom did a number on her
• Today bought some chinese food so no cooking for me today
• H2 is on her period so no fasting for now

MarIO (Day 9) unmemorable
• Wife is still having a dpressive day. Her mom is making it even worse by not understanding the situation and saying that this is not her fault that she is behaving like that. But it's excatly her fault
• When I am stressed I will cook something weird. So today I decided to make some Japanese Sandwich (Sando) which is egg and potato corquete plus chicken pesto. There was so many components in the dish that I almost didn't get to finish it before break fast

Mar 11 (Day 10)
• Wife is getting better but not fully better. She is getting there. She finally told me that the reason she is her mom wanted her to help her get some money by contacting her ex rich bf. She had that face of disspointment when my wife couldn't give her what she wants. That triggered a trauma in her when she was a child which she thinks she is not worthy.
• Today I cooked some chicken kurma, veggies and grill mackeral. They were all so tasty
• Wife a bit sensetive so whatever H1 said she gets upset. So I told her off which doesn't do any good.

Mar 12 (Day 11)
• Cooked some pesto for the girls, sardines and baked chicken
• Wife dad came to see her. She felt better after talking to dad
• I send the pasta at 630pm to H1. Met her boy friend at the same time. Got to talk a bit
• After praying I hang out with dad and wife before going to sleep. They maange to talk until 1am. I am glad her dad is still around

Mar 13 (Day 12)
• Dad sahur with us today and the left around 10am
• Today H2 got an event with her class so it just leaves me and wife
• So I went to bring wife along the mall and we had iftar at a steak place. I ordered the chicken chop while she ordered the chicken maryland (which comes with a fried banana) we came home just in time for me to go terawih

Mar 14 (Day 13)
• Today I decided to cook some Chicken Rice since its the simple thing to do
• My brother called me and said that he is in the area and needs to give me something (which was two fire exthinguishers). So after picking up H2, we went to pick him up and send him to the airport. He talked non stop about his work. I miss my brother, I don't get that much time with him but I cherish evey moment of it.
• My brother gave us some cornflake cookies. It was so good that I ask my brother to order more later. He ordered 20 more
• I talked to a new twitter friend. She was worrying about her love life. I said not to worry that much. If it comes, it comes
• My hacker contaced me again wanting more money. As usual I said no.
• I am frustrated at my wife, she is getting that is staying at home and wants to go on vacation but doesn't want to spend her money. She wants me to cut money spending on food. The problem is I already cut spending on food. I am sad at this situation but I will deliver. I always do

Mar 15 (Day 14)
• Pick up the cleaner and we gossiped about the state of my mother in law. It's bad, she has been relegated as the maid and my step father in law is the driver since both brother in law and wife can't do anything. In a sense I feel sorry for her but I also don't at the same time. I already ask wife to block her so that means she can't emotionally blackmail her with the baby
• Wife student came down so we need to go to see dad in law in his shop. The student like to do tiktok shop and has lots of followers. So my dad in law wants her to sell her bags

Another 2 weeks + before the end of Ramadan. Hopefully next week will be better. I have nothing much to look forward to next week.

It's cancelled. Sad.

Where we left off: Season 2 sees Todd opening up his new agency, His mom is now senior partner and has to save the . Susan got married, Lyle got a girlfriend and Alison is now living with Todd and trying to figure herself out

Isn't that girl from Glee: Heather Morris was a breath the fresh air in the show. She gives Todd some excitement in their dynamic.I like her

A new big bad: The overarching story this whole season is to find out why are they losing money and who is the big bad that been draining their money. 

Cliffhanger: It was cancelled but there was a cliffhanger where Margeret was the mastermind of the money laundering (a set up of course) as well as the reveal of the big boss of the office. That is sad, I am enjoying this show a lot 

Captain America New World Order

The sequel to the Incredible Hulk

What is it about?
Captain America needs to work with President Ross to save the world from war. 

The Good
Action sequences are awesome. Esepcially during the flying scenes
The story is Winter Soldier lite. I mean there is a conspiracy but it is not that deep
It is great to see what happen to all the characters post Incredible Hulk (except the Hulk of course)

Red Hulk. Short but sweet 

Harrison Ford is a national treasure 

The Bad
Hand to hand fight scene sucks. It looks like two people flaling 
Some of the CG scenes looks bad 
The Bad guy is really a let down 

The Ugly
Nothing much

After Credits: Yes, but an afterthought 

Verdict:  A good Marvel movie. This year is on to a good 

Shogun

Well I can see why this won a lot of awards 

What is it about? It was a time of war between the Lords of Japan. Then one day a English forienger comes to the land and it will change the course of the war

Japanese culture: Its about honor and tradition. There are a lot of brutal killing here. I don't know how people are okay of dying. But this time Christianity has come to Japan so they do believe in some god. Plus the English to Japan language translated sometimes doesn't go true 

This show sucks: I was rooting for the main characters to get together but they didn't. To make matters worse after reading the book. The main protagonist is destined to lead a sucky life after the end

Season 2, 3: So since this show won countless awards. It has been renewed for 2 more seasons. But it won't be anytime soon when we get to see it. Proabably in a couple of years time

Week 10: First week of Ramadan

Alhamdulliah, it is that time again where we celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. It teaches of the importance of patience and virtue of doing good deeds and other stuff. I do still watch some tv and play some games but not that much. Usually before going to sleep.

Mar 2 (Day 1)
• Today is day 1 of fasting so did a lot of classes. I manage to do a lot than expected
• Mom in law decide to go home yesterday since she has classes in the morning and plus the cleaner is going to stay with her at home
• Cooked some curry chicken
• Did some last minute shopping for H1
• Send H1 to her uni. She insisted on driving so this time we took wife's car since wife's car is more like the test car than my car. That girl is about to give me a heart attack with her driving.

Mar 3 (Day 2)
• Today I cooked some beef soup eating it with porriage
• Did a lot of classes today which is considered a good day
• Send wife to work and pick her up with H2 since she goes back home early
• Wife wants some kuih so I had to go to the bazaar to find something. Lots of choices but have to go there early
• The investment I did last time, the ceo is finally brought to justice. He is being sued by the goverment with a penalty of 10 years in jail and 50 million in fines

Mar 4 (Day 3)
• Wife had classes so she drive herself
• I made some soy chicken with potatoes
• Bought some bazaar food again. I think its the same thing again.
• My best friend called me. Thats whjy I don't think they are going to ghost me. They don't have any friends.
• Got money from the insurance so I finish paying off hana. With that all my debt is settled for.

Mar 5 (Day 4)
• Today I cooked some chicken rendang. First time making it. Didn’t know it takes this long. Around 3 hours
• Went to the bazaar again. Lots of things to try

Mar 6 (Day 5) 🎂
• Today is my brother birthday. He turns 42
• Today we are expecting guests. My wife invited her students to come over and eat. So I cooked 2 boxes of pasta but in hindsight. Even with 13 people. They didn't finish it.
• I went to go terawaih and plan to come back home early but someone blocked the path. So now I have to wait for a while. When the person got there, she just acted like it's not a big deal. Be patient they say. Its fasting season
• Had fun breaking fast with the students. But I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them.
• Pick H1 back home since its pasta and she slept over tonight

Mar 7 (Day 6)
• Send H1 and H2 back to school
• Went to the city to pick up wife's medicine
• Cooked some chicken katsu curry today
• The max temp was 41c today
• The maid text me yesterday for an hour complaining about my mother in law. My mother in law is currently is manipulating my wife to feel sorry for her but she is not telling the full picture so that is why I am annoyed she playing this bullshit mind games. Apprently the maid is annoyed to.

Mar 8 (Day 7)
• Today went out with the girls. Both H1 and H2 wants to get theijr Eid clothing. This year we are not going traditional. So they got a skirt. Both of them look stunning but me and wife had to pay for it
• Mom in law came with the maid. M aid was cooking today we bought extra food at the bazaar.
• Wife was not feeling that great today it is going to be worse tomorrow

Week 9: Got myself a haircut

 Last week of Febuary. Everyday as time passes I wonder what is the point of everything but I know that there is a lot to look forward too in the future. So yeah. Keep the days coming 

Feb 23

• Wife went out with her cousin this morning for a movie and lunch
• Mom brought us out for lunch
• Got scolded by mom again about the will issue. You know what, now I know her stand I am going to leave it be. I will try to get as much money as I can when the time comes
• Did laundry and go groceries
• Wife called, her cousin car got a flat tire in the mall and she wants me to pick them up. I arrived there and still have to wait 2 hours for the car to be towed
• Didn't get to class and also play games. Too tired for today

Feb 24 unmemorable
• Mom finally sold the land that she bought 30 years ago. Some rich guy from Australia is planning to buy it for 2.8 million. But after all the fees and such she will probably get around 100k only.
• Mom got annoyed at me for getting the will again. I found out from my cousin that she donates a large chunk of her money to a mosque. So with that I know not to expect anything from her when she die. Makes it easier for me. The house is the only thing that I am looking forward too.
• Wife was not feeling well. Today her depression is a bit too much. She didn't want to do anything and everything seems to be wrong. So shey stayed home the whole day. At night she ate medication but it didn't work. After I slept she ended up hurting herself. Sigh

Feb 25
• Cooked some sheppreds pie today
• Eat some ramen and cookie alone. I think I am feeling overwhelmed. But the problem is that wife is feeling overwhelmed as well. So there is nothing much to do about it. I think I have to support her more than myself.
• Today is arabic day for H2 school. She is the official person to be in charge of plates and cups.

Feb 26
• Didn't cook anything since there was plenty leftover. So cleaned the house
• Took wife out to the mall for a Korean lunch. In the evening they wanted McDonalds
• My twitter friend cook the shepperds pie that I made. They want to try to sell it.

Feb 27
• Wife took 2 sleeping pills so she was out the whole day
• I wasn't feeling myself today so I didn't do anything much. I was in a melancoly state.
• Didn't cook so just bought from grab

Feb 28
• Did groceries from Ramadan which is going to happen soon
• Made some spagetti for lunch and dinner
• H2 best friend is going away so she came down one day to say goodbye to everyone
• Send patches to the vet and he needs to be on medication
• Mom manage to sold of her land and now she is okay for me to use the will services after listening to my brother talk about it
• Pick up H1 from her uni and let her drive back home
• They annouce that March 2 will be the frist day of Ramadan
• Watch a movie with wife. I can say that is a good movie

Overall Febuary has been a good month. Did everything that I wanted to do, well almost. Made a new friend. Overall besides getting scolded by my mom. It has been a low key week

Mar 1
• H2 went out with her best friend to say goodbye before hse heads to a different school
• After class, me and wife went out to have lunch and run some errands
• I got a haircut and my wife said I look very foine
• Everyone was full of people since it was the last day before Ramadan and everyone needs to stock up or eat their final meal or something.
• Went to my first Terawih and Insya allah there will be many more

Ended this week with the start of Ramadan. So it is going to be 30 days of fasting. Which means less class but it also means more good deeds. So yeah.. I'm excited. Use gameplay mechanics to make life fun in my opinion
