Week 26: Wife moved to a new office

This week has been a busy week for me. Everyday I will be exhausted since I am active the whole day and just slept super early. Wife finally got her promotion and now is moving to a new office.

• Cooked some rendang today with the korban meat 

• Pick up cleaner 

• In the evening took 2 hours + to clean wife office and move stuff to the new office. Started at 830pm and finish close to 11 

• Came home close to midnight. Took a bath and went to sleep

• Maid needs to coming again since she hasnt' finish cleaning the house

• After picking up H2 from school we went to the mall for groceries to buy some chicken 

• I made some butter chicken to complement the rendang

• Help wife carry the last items in her room. 

Jun 25

• Wife had to go to the office by herself due I need to go to the hospital. H1 has an appointment with the terapist 

• The terapist said that H1 needs to be on medication and it is going to take a while to recover

• Wife and H1 is fighting of the time. I can't be the middleman because both of them has a high ego.

• After coming back we took H2 from wife office and I brought the girls out for sushi

• Came back to the office to help wife throw a lot of things in her office.

• Dinner was something bought for the wife.

• At wife office today they had a ceremony to officially open . So there is a lot of food. After picking up H2 both of us ate a lot of food. 

• Move all the stuff that wife wants from her 1st office to her administrative office 

• H1 got 4 A+ and 1 A for her 2nd semester results 

• Didn't have dinner but order dumpling for H2

• Today is a public holiday so the girls are all sleeping but wife ask the massause to come and give her, her best friend and H1

• I ordered food since the massuse want to eat some homecooked food. 

• Wife and best friend hang out until the evening

• After my routine I went to be super early because I was so tired. 

Jun 28 New Stuff

• We have a movie date with wife's best friends. We watched Ballerina, it was greusome and awesome at the same time. 

• The girls followed along but wife gave them her card and they did their hair. 

• After the movie we all went to eat as a group  • Bought H2 a new phone and H1 a karaoke machine.  

Next week H1 will be going back to uni. Mom will be coming and she will be going overseas. I want to go watch a movie, so here hoping. 

The Simpsons Season 35

Another year, another Simpsons

Revieing this show: It is hard to review a show that has been around for 35 years. Life without the Simpson feels incomplete. 

Homer and Marge: This season there are some Homer episodes like he tips a lot, change job and Marge episode where she rivals another mom

Bart and Lisa: Bart has an episode where he is friends with Willie and Lisa has an episode where she becomes a race car driver

In the end: The simpsons will always be here. I Think once its over, things are going to be different but for now let's enjoy it as much as we can 

Twisters

Who wants to chase tornados 

What is it about?
A group of tornado chasers are trying to stop the next big one from destroying a whole town 

The Good
It is fun to see the Twisters rampage through the area 

The Bad

I can't understand how they made this movie so long. The plot is not as difficult as it seem but over here they use a lof techinically jargon that makes this movie a bit boring 
The end scene where the Twister is finally stop with a special blend of items. 

The Ugly
The guy who played Superman is a douche is this movie
Why do people build houses at these areas

After Credits: No 

Verdict: Popcorn movie. But can be avoided 

Cobra Kai Season 4

What happens when two becomes one 

This season: Cobra Kai and the combination of Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang are training to fight for the control of the valley 

Character development: What makes Cobra Kai great is that every character gets a time to shine. I love Tory, Hawk and Johnny arc this season. They have the best storylines. Oh and this season Anthony Larusso (the youngest son) also gets a couple of good scenes. 

All Valley Tournament: The last 2 episodes were epic. The fights were amazing. It is like you are part of the action as well. You didn't know who is going to win. 

In the end: There are a lot of new character development in the end, a lot of people are gone and new alliances have to be made. 2 more season to go 

The Holdovers

This is a amazing story about friendship 

What is it about?
A boarding school teacher has to babysit the students that are not returning home for the holidays. So he gets stuck with one student and the school chef. 3 of them will eventually have a deep bond throughout the 2 weeks together

The Good
The story is simple and yet great. You will love the characters in the end
The music is good
There are character development in all the characters which is what a great movie does
The 70s retro feel , even the title screen is in the 70s

The Bad
Nothing much. 

The Ugly
I wonder what is going to happen with the characters

Verdict: A must watch, a very good movie

Kamen Rider Kuuga

 The first Kamen Rider in the Heisei Era (2000-2019)

Going in: A lot has change since Kamen Rider Black RX. This shows is more serious and realistic. Almost every episode there are deaths and the threat of the Unindentified Lifeforms are real. Our hero Godai Yusuke will team up with the police to stop all the treats 

Kuuga: First of all the Hensin is not that great. The rider itself comes with 10 forms. White (Base) Red (Strong) Blue (Fast) Green (Sensory) Purple (Titan) Add Lighting to the form and it will amplify its power to be more stronger. There is also a secret form which is Black (Ultimate). The Bike its the standard Kamen Rider motorcross bike with a armor attachment in case the bad guys are tough 

Bad Guys: Honestly I wasn't paying that much attention to these bad guy. I honestly am not 100% sure of the motives of them. But I think by killing people the final boss will be powerful (which is did) and everytime it is stopped by kuua they have to do all over again (I think). The final bad guy only shows up the last 3 eipsodes. The deisgn of the bad guys are not to exterme like before. All the designs appear to be humanoids probably a budget thing I guess

Overall: I love the story. I like this Kamen Rider. All the side characters are great and the B story is mostly cater to kids. This is a great start to the series. Next it will be Kamen Rider Agito

Is it a trend for spy movies right now

What is it about?
A nobody is part of secret spy organisation that is task to stop something bad from happening 

The Good
The movie is easy enough to understand 
Action seems competent enough

The Bad

You already know who is the bad guy in the story
The is basically a classic spy movie. Nothing to suprising 

The Ugly
Mark Wahlberg must be the hardest working action

Verdict: An okay movie. Nothing special

Cobra Kai Season 3

The road to recovery starts slow 

In this season: Johnny loss Cobra Kai, Daniel is trying to save his business, Karate is banned. Kreese now control Cobra Kai, Miguel is trying to recover from being paralyze 

This is the lowest season: Everyone is not in a good place, even the bad guys. But even after the storm they will be light, so you will know they will make a comeback

Blast from the past: Daniel met Kumiko and Chozo (from the 2nd movie) and Johnny met Ally (from the first movie). This show is amazing because it's 30 years in the making 

In the end: New alliences are form in order to stop a new threat. Can't wait for season 4

Star Trek Section 31

 They should made this to a mini series 

What is it about?
The continuation of what happen to Philippa Georgiou after Discovery 

The Good
There are a lot of colourful characters

The Bad
The story is a bit convuluted. They try to fit everything in 90 mins which makes this movie a mess
The last 20 minutes is all over the place 

The Ugly
Not sure if this is going to be a series but hopefully they can me it better

Verdict: One of the Star Trek you can avoid 

Week 25: Kids did their new IC

This week nothing that special happen. Wife wanted to quit but as dad in law said just give her time and let's hope for the best. I am sad but this is something I can't control. So we cross the bridge when we get there.

 • Today is the end of my vacation. After doing classes and packing up. Aunt brought me out to eat some Indian food for breakfast 

 • after saying my goodbyes I went to wife hotel. Packed up her stuff in her room and waited nearly 2 hours for her to be done 

 • She came in the car saying that she wanted to quit her job. It made me upset because she doesn’t realise that this job is what keep her alive. 

 • The drive back I listen to her but my mind was somewhere else. I don’t feel the mood for talking. Plus the roads didn’t make it easier. It was raining heavily and the was a jam on the way

 • The trip took us 6 hours and by the time I arrive home I was so tired. Took a shower and go to bed early

• Back to our daily routine where H2 goes to school and I do classes 

• Today I cook some Thai green curry 

• Wife had to work in the morning and came back at 3 slept 

• Wife is still in a bad mood. Talk to father in law and he said give her time.

• was not feeling that great today 

• H1 friend is coming so I made pasta Alfredo and also made fried rice 

• Mama came home today 

• her friend left after 8

Jun 18

• Today H1 is going out with her friend to the city centre. They plan to go to the aquarium, shopping and eat some fried chicken 

• Send her to the train station at 9:30. Today is H2 last day of school before her final exam last week. Just eat some leftovers. 

• Dad in law came to visit and I bought some food for the evening 

• Creamy got back sporo which means he needs to be on medication again until futher notice

• Since both of the girls are free today we decided to go to the Registery Department to renew their Identity Card to put a new status in their card

• After that we go to the mall and we have lunch at the local bakery. I ordered the chicken burger

• Went home and everyone took a nap. Wake up and did classes

• The gardener came. 

• In the evening both girls were having a bad mood. I got yelled by H2 and H1 got annoyed for losing a pillow. Wife was not having it and she scolded them. I really don't care that much. Everyone is entitled to be angry sometimes.

• Send wife to work today

• Went to the mall. I went to the bank to get some money out to pay zakat (12,200) and went to get an aircond for H2

• Bought food and had lunch with the family

• H2 was not feeling well so I took her to the clinic

• Today is a lazy Saturday. While everyone is in bed I decided to make some meatballs in marinara sauce. It turned out delicious 

• Mom arrived in the evening 

• Finally finish wife's work and finally can play some games.

Next week H2 is on finals. H1 is still on holiday. Wife maybe busy but I am not sure. Let's just go with the flow.

The Old Man Season 2

Sucks for the ending 

Where we left off: Dan and Harper are trying to get to Afganistan to rescue their daughter Emily. But things are not as easy as they same 

Something is off: I don't know how to put this but there is something wrong with the dialogue. It doesn't sound natural but more like textbook speaking. Its not that great but it's ok

Everyone's Old: The Old Man is just a blanket statement. Everyone is old is this show. This show is about how the things that the old spies did had an impact in the future 

Cancelled: It ended in a cliffhanger and we will never know what will happen next. But it looks like this show was too expnesive to produce 

Bushido Blade

Why they don't make games like this anymore

I've played the sequel to this game before. Never played the first one. This is a very unique game where its realistic in a sense you only have one hit kill for your enemy. There are no timers, just stage and see who gets the first hit. You start by choosing your desired fighter with their weapon of choice. Their weapon consists of katanas, short swords, rapiers, lancer and so on. The game offers omni directional controls which means you can around to get your first blow. There is a story for each different characters but so far only one I got to play until the end of the game. So I really don't know how to trigger it. I finish ariound 3 characters and then I call it a day. I give the game a A-Rank. 

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

 The Final Mission

What is it about?
The continuation of the last movie where the team need to find the computer that controls the entity in order to prevent World War III

The Good
I can't believe Tom Cruise is 61 and still in peak condition 
There are only 2 big action set pieces but both are executed really well in the show
Among the movies, this is the most impossible mission put together. They should call this Mission Lucky since Hunt is extremely lucky
Everyone has a chance to shine 

The Bad 
The movie is a bit too long. They could actually trim 45 minutes of scene and it will make into a better movie. 
The need to connect everything from the first MI film until now seems unneccesary. I do get it they are trying to tie up 30 years of film history but we would be happy if this is just the continuation of the last film 
No idea why Degas was here

The Ugly 
100 of a millisecond is super fast. 

After Credits: No 

Verdict: Must watch. All mission impossible movies are just awesome to begin with 

Cobra Kai Season 2

The Jouney Continues 

Where we left off: With Miguel winning the tournament and Cobra Kai gets more students. Johnny ask the help of his former sensei Kreese who is really bad news

Miyagi-do: They only have 3 students but that is already enough to train. They are the underdog here where they are constatnly bullied

Fight scene: There are two powerful fight scene where one is that the mall and the other is at the school.

Ending: It ends with a cliffhanger and Johnny and Daniel losing something they hold on dearly too 

Week 24: Mini vacation for me

Wife got to do a teambuilding session and she doesn't want to take the bus the company provides. So that means that I get to drive to the island and get to spend time with my aunt.

• In the morning I cook some lontong darat 

• lunch time I cook two kids of pasta. Pesto and Tuna Baked

• Went to the mall with the whole family (except H1 since she needs to study for an exams)

• At the mall wife did remove sister in law from her mobile plan

• Had tea at a very famous coffee shop.

• Visited dad in law at brother in law house. First time visiting there and saw a baby

• Today H2 doesn't have school. So I just did more classes 

• Sister in law and mom finally left the house 

• Pick up the cleaner and cooked some soy chicken with the korban meat.

• H2 is back to school

• Printed H2 exam revision questions 

• Bought some food 

• Finished one section of wife exam questions.

• Wife is stressed today. She found out that she hsa to go to Penang for teambuilding. She doesn't want to take the bus so I have to drive her there. 

• Went to pick up the rest of H1 stuff at her dorm and she returned the key 

Jun 11

• Feel like having a burger today. I of course have it without the bun 

• Today spend a day to complete marking all of wife papers. That is around 201 students. We finish close to 1030pm

Jun 12

• Send wife for her last paper. Only 24 students

• Did some groceries since I am cooking some roast chicken with mash potatoes 

• Wife start packing for the trip but she realised that she forgot her medication. So tomorrow we have to do a detour.

• H1 went to her since she forgot her toiletaries 

Jun 13

• today is road trip day. So send H2 to school and said goodbye to H1.

• First we went to her uni to take a picture. After that we went to get her medicine 

• 9am we start. I ate some celery sticks with hummus as my snacks. At 1020 we stopped for a bathroom break. At 11 another bathroom break and at 1230 the last break 

• Finally arrive to the hotel at 2 and we had lunch while waiting for the bus to arrive which is at 3. After that I left wife there

• Went to my aunt house and then had dinner with them 

• Slept at 1130

Jun 14 memorable

• Wake up at did classes. I couldn’t sleep that well since it’s probably a new bed 

• Had a break so I had breakfast with my aunt for 20 mins 

• After class did some exercises. 

• Didn’t had lunch but I had a date with my cousin to climb the hill near the house. We climb with a stranger we met in a Facebook group. That guy was a 26 year old engineer with me and my cousin (33). The climb really push me to the max. My heart rate climb up at 178. Every step feels so heavy but after I arrive to the top it was amazing. I feel like I did something awesome. Going down was another thing as well. My legs were wobbly since it took a lot for me to climb down. In the end when we reach down it 90 minutes and 1000 calories burned 

• Came home took a shower, did two classes 

• At night cousin and aunty brought me to the mall. We were supposed to eat Korean noodles but it was full. We ate a Nando’s. Since I was in deficit of 2700 calories I ate 3/4 of a chicken with veg and fries 

• Came back and continue talking until 1 am

Tomorrow I need to drive back and overall wife is not having a great time in her teambuilding session. But I am having a great time. Very thankful for this fortunate series of events.

What is it about?

5 men try to rob a store but things go sideways when one of them is shot

The Good
We are tyring to guess who is the mole in the group
The movie is made with a small budget but the story is very interesting 

The Bad
Nothing much. It does end abruptly 

The Ugly

Nothing much

Verdict: Its an interesting story, but a bit boring. 

The Good Doctor Season 7

Goodbye Dr Shawn Murphy 

It is the end: After 7 seasons, 126 episodes later we finally say farewell to the doctors of Saint Bonaventure hospital. This farewelll season offers some closure 

Shawn: In 7 years we can see Shawn grows into a wonderful surgeon and as well as wonderful man. His autism still gets in a way but everyone gives him a lots of tolerance 

Characters: Everyone got their happy ending (except 1 or 2 maybe). I like the last scene where all the characters get togheter and say goodbye

The End: It skips 10 years in the future. He has a family. A higher position. If they decided to make this show again they can continue it at anytime.

Week 23: This week is Raya week

 Start of the new month. Nothing much to look forward to but just as long I can make my friends and family happy I will be okay.

June 1

• cleaner clean the house till 3

• The massive stayed overnight and left at 11

June 2

• It was the kings birthday today. Everybody pratically do their own thing 

• Wife was watching tv, H2 was doing her microbit project. I did classes and exercise 

• H2 microbit battery pack wires were lose. Took us a good 40 mins to figure out what to but lastly we just use H2 power bank to power up that thing 

June 3

• Have to send wife to work because she has a meeting at 10

• Cooked some pasta because H1 is coming back from her uni

• H1 came back late and she was the last one from her dorm to leave

June 4

• H2 had had a science fair today so after I send wife to work I pick up H1 and wife to see her fair

• After that we took her out early from school and we went to the mall to have some sushi 

June 5 New Stuff

• Today is date morning with wife. After class we went to watch the new Mission Impossible movie. 3/5 stars for me

• After that long movie (3 hours+) we went to have some grilled beef yakiniku. I am not a fan of cooking my own meat but the meat was very tender and delicious 

• Took wife's new compuer and then coming back home pick up the maid

• Maid worked till late at night and help me prep for tomorrow Eid cooking.

• Driving her back at night my kid best friend just stayed with me and we talked a lot. I feel so sorry for her that her boyfriend dumped her and she is going to have to live with this for a long while.  

June 6 

• Today I woke up H2 only to find out that there was no school. Such a waste of time. 

• Ordered some nasi lemak for the girls. 

• In the evening I cooked some chicken rendang and lodeh for tomorrow Eid event. 

• Wife went and pick up her mom in law and husband and they break fast at our house

• Sister in law came late in the evening

June 7

• Today is Eid ul Adha 

• Went to pray at the mosque and came back to wait for the family to get ready 

• We took pictures and wife invited her best friend to come and enjoy some food 

• At 2pm the friend left but at 3pm wife cousin came ate some food

• Sister in law took the girls out to the mall 

• Did some classes and exercise and slept around 1030 after cleaning the kitchen

In the end of this raya, I receive more than 15kg of meat but after cleaning it, the amount is usually less. No idea what I am planning to cook with the meat. But we are going to have beef on the menu for at least 4 days.
