Star Trek Prodigy Season 2

One of the best shows I've seen

Where we left off: The team are not starfleet cadets and being assigned under Janeways team to try and rescue Cakotay. 

Temporal Mechanics: If you like time travel, this show is going to give you a bit a headache. There are a lot of time travel jargon and things that they need to fix with the help of some familiar faces 

Voyager and Protostar: Both ships are stars of their own. This season they have the budget for an actual battle in space which was cool. 

The final frontier: It ends where Picard Season 1 pick off. Which is amazing. In the end the crew of the Protostar are never heard of since they dissapeared into the vast end of space. The boldy go where no one has gone before 

Blue Prince

This game is very divisive and I am in both camps

I first heard of Blue Prince (which is a play on the word Blueprints) from a lot of podcast I heard. Some called it the greatest game ever made, a must play and all the buzzwords alike. How delighted I was to find that this game was free to play on Playstation Plus. So I decided to try it out and here is my own review of this game. It is going to be a long one so bear with me 

What is Blue Prince? So the premise is simple enough to understand. You are Simon and your grandfather pass away and have given you his entire estate. The only catch is you have to find the 46th room. The house also comes with a set of rules. First rule is that you can't spend the night in the house. 2nd rule is that everyday you enter the door the house resets and you need to draft a new room everytime you enter a door. 3rd rule is that you start off with 50 steps and everytime you enter a room you will lose one step. If by the end of the day you haven't finished the puzzle you have to call it a day. The day will reset and you have to start over again.

So that is the main premise of Blue Prince. But underneath the simple game mechanic is a complex layers of puzzles that you need to solve in order to advance the story and reach the 46th room. The thing is that each room that you draft whether it be a art room, study room, bed room, painting room and the 45 different rooms. You will unlock something. Something that will advance the story more. Weather it be a clue, a device (like the shovel, metal detector) and also currency in a form of food (steps) keys and gems to unlock rooms. That means each run won't let you win the game but you will make progress on each of the run eventually.  You will probably be in Day 90 where everything will just click for you and you will have a great run that can finally unlock the 46th room. 

So why do I like the game. The visual are just teriffic to look at. It's just a room with a lot of small details that you have to look closely to see it. The gameplay is quite fun. Drafting rooms to see where you are going next makes for an interesting run. The items and treasures you find also gives you a sense of you progressing. There is a story about the mansion but if you don't want to read it its okay. 

But this game has it flaws as well, this game and been critically praised. I find that this game really does not respects the players time. I know the RNG (Random Number Generator) plays a big role in each run. Basically you won't get the same room or the room that you wanted in that day and you have to start again. It does make the game super frustrating. The economy in the game as well it is not so good. You will run out of keys and gems before you will run out of steps. In the end not only I was frustrated but I feel that this game will only be fun if things go your way. Most of the time you'll aimless wondering the hallsw waiting for you next clue to advance further in the game. I am all for that but after a couple of days of drafting the same room over and over again it suddenly becomes such a bore.

This is a new part of my reveiw of playing this game with Aurora. Aurora is a cheat engine from cheat happens. I can say this, if you value your time and you want the most of the game. Play this game with cheats. You will still need to solve all the puzzles on your own. But with the ability to reroll a draft if you are not satisfied, unlimted gems, keys and step. This game becomes more fun.. Eventually when you slove the big mystery and get to room 46. You won't waste a lot of time and you also feel like you accomplished something. Going forward some games will be played with cheats since having cheats doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the game. 

In conclusion, Blue Prince is an awesome game. A roughlike puzzle mystery game that is fun to play and no two runs are the same. Is the game for everyone, probably not. I can also say that this game isn't for me as well. But I manage to enjoy it my own way. I give the game am S-Rank

Week 17: H2 fell, house is leaking and HDD died. What a week

What a week ti has been. As the title said a lot happened this week and I coulnd't catch my breathe. Good news is H2 is getting better. I bought a new HDD and the house will probably get checked next week. So here is hoping next week will be better 

Apr 20

• Today is mother in law birthday. Celebrated it by eating sushi. She was late to come to the restaurant
• It rained in the evening as usual
• Our master bedroom floor water comes up of it which is troubling since I don't know what is causing this. Will find someone to investigate

Apr 21
• Contractor came to the house to try to fix this issue. They can't fix it because the are not sure where is the leak coming from. So I think I need to find someone else to fix the issue
• Wife and H1 had a fight before leaving for work. Really hate being a part of this sometimes
• Best friend showed me their car. Looks so bad and it considered a total loss. Good thing that they are okay
• Ate at mamak today so I didn't need to cook

Apr 22
• Another contractor came and also didn’t knew what happened to the house. But I manage to check my next door neighbours house and they have the same damp wall
• mom ask to get my cousin to share the blueprints
• pick up H1 since tomorrow we have to go the hospital early

Apr 23
• Wake up early in the morning and send H1 to the hospital while H2 went with wife
• Hospital visit was fast only 20 minutes but waiting for the doctor took almost 3 hours
• After that I got a call from the school saying that H2 slipped and fell down. Probably sprained her arm.
• Pick her up at the usual time and then went to wife Eid party with the students
• After the party went to the clinic to check on H2 arm. The doctors ask us to go to the emergency to get her x-rayed just in case
• The emergency also took a long while. Her x-ray results were Alhamdulillah good. Just a sprained and no major cracks

Apr 24
• Did a lot of classes in the morning
• Wife bought some mcd for breakfast
• Brought lunch for H2
• In the evening went to see the lawyer about the court case. There was 12 people in the meeting. In turns out it was the 3rd day of meeting and the laywer explained to us where is the case is going now. When ask about the timeline it is going to be a long while until we can actually see the money. The worse part if we do see the money it is not going to be the full amount. I need to work harder now.

• Today went to the groceries
• Made some brown butter garlic mushroom pasta.
• Did a lot of classes and the website

Apr 26
• Start of a new class month. So back to normal schedule. I really need to do more classes everyday. Also need to start exercising and dieting back.
• Woke up this morning to a damage hard disk.The 10TB that holds all my movies and tv shows finally died. I bought it 8 years ago. So it was just a matter of time
• Took a nap and then when I wake up decided to cook some soup and butter chicken. H2 followed because she wants to make a cake. After groceries I bought myself a new 8TB HDD drive.
• Pick up H1 from her dorm but when we arrive home she forget her ipad so she took the car and drove herself back to uni.
• H2 decided to make some muffins but with cake batter. But she set the oven a bit too long and too hot so the muffins were burnt. She manage to scrape it off.
• I bought a hit and run no seed penalty and starting to fill up my hdd with shows and movies. This is going to take a while but I have time

What is on for next week. Well today mom is coming, house probably getting fixed. Need to go to the bank. That is all the plan I have for next week.

A Minecraft Movie

This movie is mostly for Gen Z and above 

What is it about?
Steve loves to mine and one day he got suck in the portal of the minecraft world. Skip 30 years. Other people went in as well. Thus the adaventure begins

The Good
The effects are not that bad for a Minecraft movie. It stay true to the source material 
The actors seems to be having a good time since this movie is really not that great
Emma Myers 
Jack Black is always good in any videogame adaptation

The Bad
Well this is a me thing, the girls seems to enjoy this. I don't know anything about the game. So a normal person would find it difficult to enjoy the reference
No idea why is the Chicken Jockey thing so popular 

The Ugly
This movie is really not meant for someone who doesn't know the source material. It is funny on certain parts but most of the time this. I didn't enjoy it that much 

After Credits: Yes, 2 after credits

Verdict: The kids like it, so I am happy

Schitt's Creek Season 3

This show is getting better and better

This season: This season saw more growth from the Rose family. Moira is enjoying her status as town council member, Johnny finally decided to help Stevie run the motel, David decided to open a store and Alexis finally finishes high school 

Funny scene: There is one super funny scene where Johnny bought a rose garden for Moira. I can't stop laughing since the scene was hillarious 

Money situation: Johnny is working, Moira is in the council, David use his savings to open a store to see upscale products. 

Ending: Since they know a 4th season is coming along, there is nothing that substantial the will carry for next month. Which is great.

Red One

I don’t know why I keep pronouncing it as Redone

What is it about?
Santa is real and the whole world knows about it. One day he got kidnapped and they have to find him before Christmas

The Good
It’s a fun movie on certain parts
The effects are great. The magic between the toys are fun to watch

The Bad
This movie just drags on too long. How long like they could trim an hour of the movie and it will still make sense

The Ugly
Either they have no budget or everything is at night

After credits: No

Verdict: It’s not a great of a movie. Can skip

The Pitt

Amazing medical drama 

What is it about? The story tells a group of doctors in a Pittsburg emergency trauma center in one nom stop continuous shift

If you love ER: You will love this show. Unlike other medical drama which focus mostly on one case or the characters live. This does that but times it to 100. It’s fast paced and it will keep you on the edge of your seat

Medical effects: All the medical special effects look real. The only thing that I don’t like if there is anything involve the eye. That’s too scary for me.

Ending: It ends with some questions looming. Season 2 is already confirmed but we are not sure that some of the characters will return. This is a must watch

My Old Ass

What happens when you can meet your future self 

What is it about?
A girl met her future self and she has a lot of advice for her so that she can have a better future 

The Good 
Is a servicable story. In the end this is a story about love and family 

The Bad
Didn't explain anything about the time travel 
There are probably rules against this but this is one of worse time travel stories 

The Ugly
How did that person can link their phones together

Verdict: It's okay. Nothing special 

Week 16: A good week

This week is a good week. I had a lot to do so I am busy all the time which makes it to be a great week overall.  
Apr 13

• After classes, took a nap. Wife cooked using my leftover ingredients but accidentally add some chilli so the pasta is super spicy
• Lunch time we went to eat some ramen. Everyone ordered a different bowl a ramen and it was delicious. Got some leftovers
• Evening had to send H1 to do some laundry and send the cleaner back home
• Wife student came to the house for a Eid visit just to say hi
• Tomorrow I will start fasting another 3 days

• 1/3 day of fasting
• Cooked some percik chciken
• H1 today become a solo driver and took wife car back to uni.

Apr 15
• Send wife to class
• Went home to do some classes and played some blue prince
• Cooked some fried rice

Apr 16
• Terrible day to start. Accidentaly put hot coffee besides wife table and sheburn herself badly. Had to cancel class
• Went to the doctor and they gave her some ointment and bandage the wound
• MIL wants to sell the car and needs my help. But I manage to get it all done by email so I didn't need to go there
• Evening dad came to help install the mirror and painting
• Made some fish burger for my last day of fasting
• Download blue prince for the pc and download the cheat engine to make the game more enjoyable

• Today had to help a friend (which is technically my boss) "to send some money to workers. It was so complicated that eventually I found out that my online bank could do it
• wife stayed home on the mend. The hand is getting better
• H2 is feeling a bit stressed up at school

Apr 18
• Picking up mom today from the airport. Her flight was delayed 1 hour but she seems a bit tired when coming back
• Bought some food since I don't have time to cook
• H2 was stressed out again today and cried. Went home and made herself some mashed potatoes
• H1 came home and then had to leave again to pick up her friend at the mall

Apr 19
• Send H1 to the doctors for the MRI. We were there close to 3 hours
• After that me and mom made a move to go back to her hometown. We have a wedding to attend to
• Arriving there, my mom is mostly interested in talking to everyone. The wedding was hot but it was a bit bored. I want to go home soon but it took a while before mom finally agreed to go home
• Pick up cleaner in the evenign
• My best friend gand ma pass away. They were very close with her. I feel sad for them and I hope they will pull through

This week I'm not looking forward to, fixing the car, going to see the lawyers, and sending H1 to the doctor for an appointment

Star Trek Prodigy Season 1

 Voyager lives on 

What is it about? A group of captured miners trying to escape their captures found a USS starship and with it comes a new adventure 

Janeway is back: Voyager was one of my favourite series. It is great to see some of the characters back. Janeway is now a Vice Admiral but in the Protostar she is a Hologram that give the team guidance 

The crew: They are a unique bunch each with their own skills. The main story of the team is trying to learn how to be starfleet. 

Cameos: This show has a lot of blast to the past. A lot of classic stories retold in a modern setting. I would say season 1 is awesome. A must watch for all fans of Star Trek

Look Back

An anime about the road not taken and regret 

What is it about?
A girl who loves to draw met someone who is better than her and both of them developed a strong bond together 

The Good
The animation is top notch 
The story is sad since it deals with subject of loss and regret 
The characters are potray in a lot of still images that tells the story in a profound way 
Ending 

The Bad
The put the time travel element to it that makes me a bit confused 

The Ugly
Nothing much 

After credits: Yes

Verdict: It is a good story. Sad. Must watch 

Schitt's Creek Season 2

 The Rose family is getting better at this 

This season: The Roses didn't manage to sell the town so they all of their own projects.

Whats up with the Roses: David and Alexis both got jobs, Moira is running for city council and Johnny is just tryingt o figure himself out

How much money: 40000 dollars after David got fired from the blouse barn

Ending: Overall they enjoyed living in this town. It has been a year and they are finally declaring the town as family 

Week 15: My student came and visit me

This week was an okay week with H1 getting her drivers license and my student came and visit us. Overall I can't complain that much about this week

• Did classes and after that cook some fried rice
• Took a nap and then did 5 loads of laundry. Couldn't do H2 laundry because there was no place to hang

• School and work is back. Send H2 to school
• H1 went back at 12 since she has no classes. I let her drive
• Today I cook some curry chicken
• Called the exterminator just to make sure the house has no fleas. Coming this Thursday
• Pick up cleaner

Apr 8
• Cleaner cleaned the whole house till above her time. I gave her some extra money
• Cooked beef soup today
• Wife is still getting bitten. Can't wait for the pest control to come
• Our shoe rack arrived. It’s a 8 shelf high shoe rack that can fit at least 24 pairs of shoes.

Apr 9 (memorable)
• This morning send H1 to her license test
• Pick up some e-waste from the house to recycle. Got a good 12 bucks
• Pick up mom from the airport
• Pick up H1. She passed her driving test.
• Help friend finish her logo design. Got the designer paid

• Mom cooked some fried rice
• One of mom best friends past away today. I visited that aunty. She was nice. She has a disabled son. I feel sad for the family
• Send mom to the airport at 4pm but her flight was delayed until 10pm

Apr 11
• Today I have to prepare since my student is coming tomorrow
• I cooked for the first time in 3 years. ratatouille. I put in a lot of eggplant. The funny thing is that H1 doesn't like eggplant but she was eating that a lot and loving it
• I also finish cooking the lasanga for tomorrow. All that is left is too cool it down and cheese it up tomorrow.
• Mom in law is making my wife feel guility. I am finding my mom in law annoying right now.

Apr 12 (memorable)
• After morning classes the whole family woke up the get everything ready
• The girls started making apple crumble while wife help in getting ready the expensive plates
• I finish making the marinara sauce and then went to find some kuih bahulu for them. I found that the was freshly baked
• My student arrived at around 12. The baby was so cute. The girl prepare lunch and then we brought them at the back. Baby didn't let his dad ate so I took the baby and brought him to the front. I think it was months and months of me being on screen with the baby that he wasn't scared of me
• After lunch we serve dessert with sound eid cookies
• Oh forget they gave me some cookies and treats as well.
• They left around 2 after taking some pictures and that was a very amazing experince
• Wife decided to pack the remaining lasanga with leftover ratatouille to mom house. When we came there someone was test driving mom car. They are planning to sell the car since step father in law can't drive it properly anymore.
• Hang there for a couple of hours, went home. Did classes. Wife cooked some fried rice and I went to pick up the cleaner.

Next week the only thing that is on my docket next week is a lot. H1 appointment, picking up mom, going to the airport, wedding, movie

Schitt's Creek Season 1

A story about a family who lost everything 

What is it about? The weathly Rose family lost all their fortune due to unpaid taxes. The goverment took all expect this town because of the name. So the family move here until they can figure out their next plan 

Fish out of water: It is very funny to see rich people being poor and trying to navigate everyday situation. It doesn't help that the local people also think that they are weird 

Money? The dad got unemployment cheque. 

Ending: They manage to sell the town but smoething else happen so they are stuck here another season
