A hitman foudn that he is mistakenly going to die hired all other hitmen to kill him. Now he needs to survive until everyone is dead. 

The Good
This more of a comedy than an action movie
The story is straightforward so it is easy to understand 

The Bad
There is no stakes in the movie since we know that the hero can't die
This is before he lost a lot of weight. 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: It is a good action movie.

Star vs The Forces of Evil Season 3

The lore gets more complicated 

This season: Star got back her full wand after beating toffee. Gained a new form. Try to make monsters and humans together. Marco moved to Newmi after Star confess that she liked him 

The new bad: Miss Heinous is the new bad this season and there is lore on where is she form. It is very complicated if you don't follow the series 

Small episodes: There are small episodes but now most episodes have some kind of stakes to it 

Ending: It end with Star giving up her wand to Eclipsa and not sure where to go from there. Last season here we come 

The Graduate

Great soundtrack 

What is it about?
A graduate is having an affair with his parents friend finds the love of his life and now have to figure out how to get her

The Good
I like the soundtrack 
The story was so so at best 

The Bad
The acting is so rigid. No idea why they are going for this but eveyone here doesn't seem to know how to act 
What is going to happen in the end. It ends abruptly just like that 

The Ugly 
Rich people in the 60s are the same nowadays

Verdict: Not a great movie, avoid 

Week 8: Aunt came down from New Zealand

This week is a good week. My aunt came to visit. I get to do a lot of work. Finish 3 games in a row which is impossible in my book. Overall I am happy for this week  

Feb 16

• Went to lunch with mom and H2 at a Chiense restaurant. Food was okay but I think I ate something to spicy so it is causing me to have stomach cramps
• Came home with food for the girls
• Send maid home, H1 to her dorm and H2 to the mall. She wanted to get a gift for her teacher
• Tried buying xbox gamepass cheap but it turns out it was a different account and not mind. Lost 12 bucks. But its okay. Lesson learned. I did finish a game on gamepass though

Feb 17
• Cooked some pasta bake for the girls. Brought the food to H1 dorm
• Playing some Hi Fi Rush
• Its been raining every evening. Quite scary

Feb 18
• Cook some curry today
• Met with my will planner. They say that I need to start planning my will. It turns out over here when someone die you don't just inherit the money you have to pay 5% of whatever that person owns. Which made me worried since mom is super rich
• Told my brother about this and he agreed as well but he said this is a sensitive subject and he doesn't think mom wants to hear it from us
• Ask my cousin to ask my mom this question. If she can't get the answer I need to have this difficult conversation with my mom which I am not looking forward to
• Need to pick up best friend from the airport. Their flight was on time but the road to arrival was so badly jammed. Took a good 3 hours for the whole journey

Feb 19
• Creamy got the same disease like last time. It hasn't been bad yet but now it is preventive care rather than stopping it. So this time we need to give him medicine for 6 months non stop. Sigh
• Bought some food for the inlaws. They really have no money so they are trying all types of things to make thier money go further.
• Just checked the tickets and it shows that my aunt is arrving tomorrow. I think she didn't realised that she texted me the wrong day and such. Oh well another trip to the airport
• Got scolded by mom about inheritence. But little does she know is that I have plan this all. I take the fall so she will ask other people that I have already texted in advance for this. So this is all according to plan.

Feb 20 (memorable)🎂
• Today is wife's birthday but there are a lot of different things happenign at the same time so we couldn't celebrate it that much
• First mom cooked some fried rice before she left back to her hometown
• Wife called the massage therapist to give her a good back rubbing
• We went for late tea/dinner. Pick up H1 from her dorm. She did her class which is ironically called campus survival which hanging out with the gamily and eating a lot of food.
• In the evening I had to pick my aunt (my dad's sister) from the airport. Arrived a bit late due to the jam but got there. She was lovely. She told me that my dad (girls grandfather) remarried again and I have a half brother that is 9 years old. Who gets a kid during this age. We came home close to 9pm and then after chatting for a while we went to bed

Feb 21
• My aunt charger was busted so brought her to the mall to get a new one while doing some groceries
• Made some claypot chicken rice and everyone loved it
• Send H2 to swimming and pick up H1 from uni
• After class hang out with aunty and took some pictures
• After that took H1 to the neighbours since she has a mock driving test tomorrow. So she needs to do the full point car check. After that she took my car out around the area. I think H1 is confident in driving. Hopefully she is going to do well
• Talk to my twitter friend. That was nice.

Feb 22
• In the morning had to send H1 to driving school for a mock real world exam. She passed but she said she didn't need to do anything. So her actual test is in April
• My aunt left the house this morning for a wedding. She is not coming back. Everyone said their goodbyes to her
• Had some Thai food which was delicious
• In the afternoon we go to watch Captain America. It was okay I give it a 6/10
• Wife's cousin came home and she is taking wife out tomorrow

Another one more week before the start of fasting month. Looking forward for that 

SWAT season 7

Really the end of an era

Series Finale: This was supposed to be the last season where they tied up all the lose ends. Everyone has their end story arc but... they just renewed this for another season 

Everyone: Everyone go their own arc which is great. If this is the last season I won't mind at all. 

20 Squad: With Luca, Street and Chris gone there are 2 new member coming in (they always sub 1 from a different team) but there is still waiting for one more permanent group member 

Second screen: This show is one of those kind of shows where you can just do something else and listen in the background. I don't mind another season of it

Lonely Mountains Snow Riders

Got gamepass just for this

The first Lonely Mountains was awesome. It was a relax game where you rider a mountain bike downhill. When I heard they are going to make a sequel that involves skiing I have to be the first to try it. The easiest and cheapest way to get this game is through Xbox Gamepass PC. I tried the 14 days trail at 1 buck first to see if this is worth it. So far I have no complains about this game

In this game you control polygonal characters going down a hill. There are usually 7 checkpoints down and you have to try getting the best time going down. Everytime you hit something you have to reset to the last checkpoint. You can find shortcuts and try making impossible jumps down if you want to cut off some time. That the game in a nutshell. Unlike the last game where you can push yourself foward with a bike. The skis are dependent on the snow. If you get stuck without any snow and incline you are just stuck without any traction. That means you are not going anywhere.

What I like about this game is its simplicity. It is very fun to play and going down the hill without any music just the sounds of the wind blowing while your skis drop down and touch the snow is relaxing. That is until you keep on hitting yourself at rock due to speeding down and super fast slope. Sometimes you just have to realised that going fast isn't the key but just making a perfect run is something far much better. There are tons of customisable options for your skier as well as different types of skis to choose from. The game is quite short with only 3 mountains and 12 tracks. After the game is done you either can try to get the best time again or play the multiplayer. The multiplyer is very fun. You and others try to race downhill but with the same set of rules the single player has. 

The only two things that I don't like about this game that it is too short. I think it is shorter than the previous game. Granted the multiplayer makes up for endless play. Another thing that, leveling up is lock behind a paywall. To level up you need to play a lot of multiplayer to get all the good gear. I really don't have time for that. Overall this is a good short game to play. I will give this an A-Rank.

Tetris Effect Connected

Truly a beaufiful Tetris Jouney

I've played this game before on the PC (review here) and I really enjoyed it. It the colours and the visuals made this an elevated version of Tetris. This time playing it on VR is a whole different beast. Using the Meta Quest 3 you are really immerce in that game. You can be as close or as far from the block. The best part of it is that you can see all the visual in 3D. The only issue I had with this game is that controlling the Tetris blocks with the Quest controllers can be a bit tricky since it involves 2 different sides of input. But after a while you'll get used to it. But really this game was supposed to be played in flat screen rater than in 3D. 3D I can only play in short chunks and sessions. Overall this is a great experince and it saves me a couple of dollars buying this game on pc. A-Rank for me

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Won game of the year last year

This game was in everyone game of the year list last year. I did try to play it in January but fall out of it since I wasn't in the zone with the game. So I decided to finish the game this year and boy I wasn't disspointed. This game is where you play as the prince royal guard in charge of rescuing the Prince who was kidnapped. So that is basically the gist of the story 

You play as Sargon a dual wielding aireal acrobating guy who can jump, slide and fight his way through waves of enemies. This is a 2D action platformer where you navigate different sections of the map. Unlike castlevania where everything takes place in one caslte. The Lost Crown map is a lot of open air small sections where you have to navigate different types of traps and enemy in order to proceed. What makes this game stands out is that there are a lot of different biomes such as forest, ice, underground, even an ocean with ships fighting alongside. Sargon is equip with 2 swords, a bow and arrow and a spinning disc as weapons. He is also equip with magic abilities such as recall, dimension hopping, double jumpe, air dash and various super moves. Sargon also can equip talismans to get a boost in abiliies. 

The thing what I liked about this game is that there is an awesome easy mode or what they like to called guided mode where they tell you where is the next objective. I find that all games in the future should have this feature since you won't waste time going around the map trying to find the next thing to do. Other than that, this game really is challenging in terms of the platforming section. You need precision like controls on how to navigate all the obstacles. If you failed, you will put to the last checkpoint which is very nice since there is little backtracking. Combat is fast and resposive.

The thing that I don't find that great is just the story. It is nothing that engaging. For me I prefer the gameplay more than the story. Other than that this game is super solid. I did finish the story and the game. There are a lot more secrets that I need to find but I was already content with what I played. Overall I give this game a S-Rank 

Week 7: H2 was hospitalized

This week is the continuation of last week where  H2 was not feeling well. So this whole week she just rested at home. Hopefully she will bebetter and this monday will be back to normal. 

Feb 9 (unememorable)
• honestly I have a gap in memory from 9am till 3pm. I don’t remember what I did or did eat. This is worrying
• Ok wife told me what we met wife friend in the morning. Bought some fried chicken for the kids and then I took a nap
• After my nap I went to the mall to shop for groceries with H1.
• Came home and cooked.
• H2 was not feeling well so I needed to bring her to the hospital. Over at the hospital her temperature still spikes up. So she had to be warded. As usual warded means that it’s going to be a while until we can see the room due to the insurance. We finally got a room at 12am.
• I couldn’t sleep that well today

Feb 10
• 2nd day at hospital
• Did more classes
• H2 is doing well. Doctor says can be discharge tomorrow
• Went to had late lunch at 4

Feb 11
• H2 is feeling better and now she is discharged. But the discharged process takes around 4 hours so we left the hospital after 4pm
• Went home ordered some pizza but I ate rice because I didn't want pizza a
• Cuddle with wife since it has been a while since we seen each other

Feb 12
• Made soup is H1 is not here

Feb 13
• Made some lemon chicken

Feb 14
• Today didn't cook because was cleaning the house
• Pick up mom in the evening
• H1 is back home for a the weekend. This will how it is it be going forward

Feb 15
• Send H1 to the dentist today . It was supposed to be 2 years but due to her teeth it is going to take longer
• Me and mom went to her friends daughters wedding. It was an hour away from the house and there was not any of my mom friends there. We were about the leave before her friend showed up
• Went to another friends house to buy some dates
• Came home it was raining
• Manage to finish 2 games today

Next week is going to be wife's brithday. Plus she has a lot of owork so we will play it by ear. Other than that life is just continuous. Hopefully nothing exciting happens 

The First Omen

We already know what is going to happen 

What is it about?
The preequal before the first Omen movie in the 70s

The Good
I can't say much. This movie is a normal horror story. I don't find it that entertaining
There is a twist but not sure how that is going to play out 

The Bad
Well it is not scary at all. I don't know. I think horror movies for me has become less scary since they only rely on jump scares
We already know what is going to happen a mile away  

The Ugly
Sometimes I wonder why there are no police involved in this things
How the characteres really couldn't do anyting

Rick and Morty The Anime

A very sad love story 

When is it set: Set between season 5 and 6. This show follows the Smith family in their adventures to stop the Gromflomites. Morty found a girl that is always intertwined with his life 

Confusing: This show is confusing due to the multiple timelines and dimensions. We don't know where we are. The only thing we do know is that Elle (a girl that is in different dimension) is always at the centre of everything 

Elle: I feel sad. First of all the animation sucks but I do not know why that they manage to make Elle into a beautiful person. Probably the mannerism. But we can feel the love and sadness shared between her and Morty. In the 10 episode show we become to understand why she does the things she does.

Entropy: The love she has for Morty is Entropy so in the end this is one big loop that repeats and repeats itself without no ending. It is very sad. It is a good show but I didn't like the ending 

The Bikeriders

 Bikers doesn't look like a great group 

What it is about?
A wife tells the story about the first biker gang in her area 

The Good
Jodie Comer has a really good American acccent 
The story is insteresting enough but we already can see what is going to happen for a mile away 

The Bad
The characters are all just generic characters in a gang movie. Nothing special 
Tom Hardy is hardly acting I guess. OR that is just how he is 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: If you like a period peice, sure why not. If not. You can avoid it 

Week 6: H2 is really not well

 This week H2 got heat exhaution which is quite bad. Wife was not in the good mood this week due to her body is hurting a lot. As for me, I am good. Nothing new to report. 

Feb 2

• Went out to eat lunch with the family
• H2 was being rude to wife which casuse wife to be angry and which made me have to do damage country on the situation. That sucks.

Feb 3
• Went to have lunch with wife at our favourite bakery
• Bought a door knob for our room

Feb 4
• The contractor came to install the doorknob in our room.
• Cooked some butter chicken for the family
• Overslept and almost missed classed but no one booked class so I am good

Feb 5
• My best friend screwed up the time and instead they are going to the airport earlier. Which means I can't pick send them to the airport without cancelling my class. They did however got a ride for tomorrow so hopefully all goes well.
• Went to Ikea with the family. Buying a lot of things for H1 when she moves in to her dorm this week.
• Girls want to get some chatime so they saw one at the petrol station, but when we went there it was closed. Pity them.

Feb 6
• H1 is fasting today
• H2 wasn't feeling that good when I send her to school. At the afternoon I got a call from her teacher saying that she fainted during the sports day training and now she doesn't feel so good. So I had to rush to school to pick her up
• At home she kept on vomitting non stop and her temperature was so high. Wife wanted to bring her to the emergency but I told her let's try to clinic first. The doctor said it was heat exhausation. It is one level below heatstroke. They gave her some IV fluids and medicine. She is still in pain when we got back home but I ask her to sleep it off.
• After the wake up late in the evening she was hungry and it seems that she is back to normal. Alhamdullilah

Feb 7
• 2nd day of H1 fasting
• H2 feels better but her temperature is still high. So I am just monitoring her and making sure she eats the medicine on time.
• Bought some chicken rice for lunch
• H1 wanted some mamak food for dinner. So bought that for the whole family

Feb 8
• Slight improvement over H2, temp
• Pick up maid today
• Help H1 moved to her dorm. She is on the 2nd floor and she got a very cute room with a big closet (which had a buster clothes rack but we fix it), a side table and a study table. She has a nice view of outside and a mirror
• After that send H1 to the park. She has a picnic with her school classmates. I ask her does she has friends. She said not really but she likes to be around people. Sad but I understand
• Didn't do that much classes today so played some Forza in the evening. Send the cleaner late a night
• My best friend called me from Finland to ask me to help his friend to get another modded switch.

Next week mom is coming, its going to be a long holiday since the sports week in school. I got 6 more days to finish a game. So probabl doing that.

Resident Alien Season 3

This is another brilliant comedic show 

Where did we left off: Harry is now working with the goverment to stop the upcoming threat of a new alien invation 

New aliens: There are new aliens call the Greys. The look llike your typical alien that we usual see in the books. They are a scary bunch but Harry is smarter than them 

Side characters: All of the side characters have their own adventures. But they are not that memorable 

Ending: As Harry will say "This is some bullshit". The ending leaves you in another cliffhanger. So no idea when we will get season 4. 

Robot Dreams

 First time watching a silent movie

What is it about?
A story about a dog who was lonely decided to get a Robot compainion. The Robot however likes to daydream a lot 

The Good
I love the animation. For a movie with only music and no dialogue, this movie is very engaging 
You can feel the emotions of the Robot when he is being sad 
The ending is bittersweet 

The Bad
This Zootopia kind of city is a bit weird and the people who design the robots as well. They really need to explain that better I guess
The Robot is a weird kind of robot. Not sure if he is immortal 

The Ugly
Nothing much

After Credits: No 

Verdict: I like it. I think if you have the time. You should watch it. 

Only Murders in the Building Season 4

This show only gets better every season 

Who died: This time the person who died was Charles stunt double which was played by Jane Lynch. The show will leave you guessing in the end

All Star cast: I think the reason for 10 episodes is they got a lot of famous movie and tv actors to play a role in this show. They even got Actors playing more actors since this season they are making a new motion picture of of it 

Funny: This show is not just brilliantly funny. This show is meta funny. Some of the jokes you need to be a certain time to understand it.

Ending: Every last 5 minutes of an episode there is someone who die that sets up a mystery for the next season.So season 5 another mystery in the building. 

Week 5: Patches is not feeling well

This week my brother came to visit and that is nice. Patches doesn't look to well. But overall it has been a good week. We finally finished marking so that a plus

• H2 went out her her grandma to go clothes shopping
• Did lots of classes for the day

• Send everyone to school.

• H2 last week of school before the long Chinese new year holiday
• Still doing marking for wife students
• Wife sister came down to bring the girls

Jan 29
• Finish marking papers
• Watch a movie with wife while eating McDonalds
• Patches was feeling sad. Brought him to the vet, physically he is ok. But no idea what is wrong with him
• The water heater light stop working
• Our door is damage. Need a new door.

Jan 30
• My brother came down with his wife and kids
• I made some chicken rice. Kids got along together
• Wife and I had a big fight because she wanted to go to her moms house and I was tired
• But eventually I gave in and went.
• Patches is not eating, send him to the vet and they say everything is fine. Just monitor him

Jan 31
• Woke up at mom in law house and did classes
• Had breakfast as a family
• After friday prayers went to get some chinese food and went home
• Patches is still the same. So now he in the room and we will see if he eats

This is not a good start to the year. Lost the cat and Patches is not feeling well. Other than that wife is stressed about work and I am stress trying to catch up with my classes as well. Hopefully Febuary will be better

Feb 1 • Patches didn't eat anything the whole day and I knew he wasn't feeling right. So after class I send H1 to uni to finish her painitng and me wife and H2 went to send Patches to our usual vet. The vet say because he hasn't peed or pood that is why he is having a high fever
• Went to see dad in law. They brought us for lunch
• Went back to see H1. Pick up the maid

• Finish marking

Next week probably just sending my friend to the airport. Other than that nothing much to look forward to. Oh yeah H1 is going away to stay at the university. So that is something.
