3) Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

This was the best game of 2024 and was the first game I played this year. It didn't diasapoint. The Metroidvania style gameplay. Tight controls and great combat made this game something that I feel is a must play for all fans.

2) Dead Cells

Tried playing this game before but this time decided to stick with and I was not disspointed. Fast pace combat couple with with multiple types of weapon types makes this a game I keep coming back to again and again. Even with cheats it is still a fun game to play.

1) New Star GP

The first actual long game I played on my Steam deck and I am not disspointed. Arcade style racing with simulation style gameplay and you got yourself a winning recipe for a great game. Not to mention that the movie F1 also influence my decision.

Series

This year I watch a lot of great shows. Going slowly trying to finsh my backlog of shows. It is going to take a while but I did watch a couple of great shows on the way.

Memorable moments and shows

Rick and morty the anime Saying goodbye to Star Trek Discovery, Lower Decks, Prodigy, Superman & Lois, The Equalizer, The Good Doctor and Tacoma FD Watched Schitt's Creek and Scandal. Both are great series. Cobra Kai the most satisfying series I have watched in a long time New Series such as The Pitt, Shogun, Ted, The Studio

NEW STUFF FOR 2025

1.A new 2TB Steamdeck OLED. This machine is amazing and I only have scratch the surface of the games. I am planning to playing more this year. 

2. New prescription lenses for my Meta Quest 3. Now I can play games without glasses 

  

(UN)MEMORABLE MOMENTS FOR 2025

2025 has not been as bad as last year but there are some sad moments as well. Nowadays I have come to terms that whatever happens, it happens for a reason and I need to be okay with it.

Baby the cat died due to carelessness. It could have been avoided but it was her time to go. With Baby gone H1 finally moved out of the house and live at her university. But took a couple of months for her to recover My best friend had an accident and cost the total loss of their car. Gladly that she is not hurt but she did buy a more expensive car whihc I think it is just a bad idea. Wife depression this year has gotten worse and I am getting less and less sex which I am coming to terms with. Nothing much I can do and just support her decision I gave a lot of money to help my best friend. It sucks but I know I'll get the money back eventually.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS FOR 2025

Met a couple of my English students. Met a 16 year old boy and took him for lunch and my favorite student came for Raya Lunch. Probably will do it again next year Went to for a mini vacation alone in Penang. Met my aunt and cousin. Climb a hill ate some food. It was a great time of doing nothing Mom got a lifetime achievement award. She has reach her peak and she still manage to climb another mountain. I am always proud of her. Met a new best friend and help her with a lot money. Seems like she needs it more and I am a sucker for a sad story. Hopefully next year she can turn herself around

2025 New Year's Resolutions

1. Save 30000 this year. or more. (I am going to count this as win. I think the total is close to 26k but that is still a lot of money to save. Next year is going to be better)

2. Buy a switch 2 (Nope, so far that console is too expensive and the games as well. I will wait for the crack version in a couple more years)

3. Go on 4 vacations this year with one international destination.

(Yes we did went on 4 vacations with one international destination being South Korea)

4. 3500 classes a year (Yes, this year classes was 3885 classes with a net profit of $6776.15, next year is probably going to be more)

5. Buy a new laptop for work (Nope, with the money I had to use this year, a new pc will have to take a back seat for a while. Not sure if I will ever get to do it with the prices of parts going higher)

2026 New Year's Resolutions

1. Save at least 10000 in my asb (17xxx)

2. 4 times vacation with 2 overseas trips 

3. Buy Airpods OR Playstation portal 

4. Try to lose 5kg 

5. A new PC/laptop again...

And with that. 2025 is done and dusted. It was better than last year and there are a lot of suprises in store for me and I can't wait for the adventure which is 2026. Ameen. The same thing I write every year.

Week 52: Met my best friend for some heart to heart

The last week I always tend to blog more than usual. I know it is a wierd way of writing but that is how it goes. This week nothing that interesting but I got to see my best friend and H2 fainted which clearly summarize 2025 as. A faint worthy year 

Dec 21

• Starting the last week of the year and I am sick. But I start the day by sending my sister in law and her friend to the airport. They are going on a trip to Medan Indonesia

• The day is spend just doing some classes with my sore throat. Didn't do that much so I did a couple and manage to sleep as well

• Ordered some Mr mee for lunch 

• H1 was not feeling well so in the evening we went to check her blood and get a swap. She was negative for influenza 

Dec 22

• Did classes in the morning. Today is the last day of H2 school before a long holiday until next year

• Cooked some rice with soup and chicken. Also smahed potatoes and egg with tomatoes

• In the evening H1 fever didn't went down so I brought her to the emergency to be warded. It turns out that she was positive for influenza so she can't be warded due to unavailability of rooms. So she will have to stay home

• Pick up and send the cleaner back

Dec 23

• Did classes in the morning and then went to the market to buy some stuff 

• Today cooked Olio for the girls and me and wife ate some ayam gepuk 

• Took a nap and continue to do classes 

Dec 24

• Today cook some chicken katsu curry and cook some pasta bake for my sister in law 

• Ordered something for my friends birthday 

• Did classes and rest and then did more classes

• H1 is getting better 

• Sister in Law flight was delayed so I picked her up close to 9pm and she arrived home close to 10. They ate the food.

Dec 25

• It is Chirstmas today. Did classes in the morning while everyone is sleeping

• H2 went out for lunch with sister in law and friend. We bought her a new Sony Headphones and a 3D puzzle. 

• Cooked some pasta for H1 and fried rice for wife

• In the evening went shopping for the goverment program that they give 100 bucks for everyone by using your identification card. So I took wife and H1 card which gives me a total of 300 and bought a lot toiletries for everyone 

Dec 26

• Today did more classes

• Made some fried pan mee. Eat it with chilli oil so really amazing 

• Had lunch with best friend before going for friday prayers. Hang out with him till 3

• In the evening help wife key in her students results 

Dec 27

• After class (missed one because I woke up late) went to the hotel to pick up my best friend to send him to the airport. Drop at his mom house for a while and arrived at the airport at 12. Had lunch with them. I ordered the curry noodles and then at 230 I said goodbye and left

• Wife ordered some ramen when I got back so I ate that and did 6 more classes 

• Exercise and then call it a day playing Hades II

Dec 28

• After classes when grocery shopping and make some osyter chicken. 

• Wife is not feeling that well. He seems sick and her tummy is always in pain. Hopefully we can go to the doctor's tomorrow 

• H2 wanted to bake so I brought her to the bakery. She is planning to make a Brookie (Brownie and Cookie) 

• H1 is at 80% got to eat together as a family 

Day 29

• Today made some chicken salad and mac and cheese for the girls with store bought bbq chicken 

• Wife had to invigilate the exam 

• I had to pick up the cleaner and send her back close to midnight 

Day 30

• H1 went back to uni since she has exam this week

• Went to the cinema with H2 to watch Zootopia 2

• Came back and ordered chicken chop for H2 and ayam gepuk for me

• Finalise order on my one carat diamond ring 

Day 31

• Last day of the year. Started off strong with a lot of classes

• After that went to the mall to meet my best friend B. We had sandwhiches, pizza and 2 glasses of peach tea. We talked about everything under the sun. I love him so much. I have a lot of good friends but only him I can truly be myself 

• Went home at 3pm and did more classes only to find out H2 fainted and chipped her tooth. Since I don't want to cancel classes, I ask her to sleep it off first and after that I brought her to the clinic. The clinic said (after multiple tests) she is probably suffering from heat stroke. She was in the toilet with oht water while this happens. 

• Ordered some sushi for H2 and wife and H1 came back home later

With that the 2025 year is wrapped. I manage to write every day. Some days there is nothing and some days there is something. What I am going to expect to happen next year. No idea. But I know that I am thankful to Allah for everyday I am alive.

The Accountant 2

The accountant is back but this time he needs to find some human traffickers

Verdict: It is a good popcorn movie. But nothing special 

What If...? Season 1

Billions of possiblities 

High budget animation: You know you are in for something special they are using the actual voice actors for the coices and the animation is fluid with high octane action. 

A single decision: Everything follow the sacred timeline (Basically the MCU) with a single decision change and that branches out to a different possible timeline. I don't get it either but it's cool seeing other types of timelines

The Watcher: Season 1 deals with the watcher on how he watches but can't interfere. By the end he is about to break his own rule 

Season 1: Ended without a cliffhanger. You can watch the first season and still have a great time.

The Rogue Prince of Persia

Last game of the year

We start with Prince of Persia the Lost Crown a metroidvania like adventure and we end this year with a Rogue Like game The Rogue Prince of Persia. The game was create by Evil Empire. The same studio that created Dead Cells (which I also played this year. Great game by the way). So this game is basically Dead Cells but in a middle eastern wrapper. Basically there are 10 stages and 3 stages are boss stages. You need to try to complete each stage and if you die you start back in the beginning.

While it does play like Dead Cells there are a lot of differences in the game. The game is much slower than dead cells. There is no magic, there is one primary weapon and one secondary weapon. The secondary weapon uses energy it you only can recharge while you kill other enemies. The last difference that you can wall run and wall jump. The more you do you will get a speed boost which makes movement much more faster. 

I love this game don't get me wrong. I love a good rogue like adventure. But that is it. Since the run that you rely is base on a good loadout that you get. Almost forgot, you have medallions (up to 12) which can give you different kind of buffs such as stronger attacks, extra weapons and healing. So back to your runs. The succesful of your runs depends on your loadout. So this game is really not just a test of skill but of luck. So I was very lucky that my last run got me until the final boss. 
Overall to get the full stories you need to beat the game 20-30 times but I didn't enjoy it that much to play this again and again. Maybe one day I will but as for now I have got my fill of this game. Love the art style, sound and gameplay but the slow pace nature of this game makes it a hard recommendation to continue. A-Rank 

Fountain of Youth

This movie is just too long. 

What is it about?
A group of adventurers are trying to find the lost Fountain of Youth. While there are some people who are trying to stop them

The Good
A typical treasure hunting adventure. Lots of clues and treasure they need to find 
The characters did a good job potraying their roles 
Lots of interesting locales 

The Bad
This movie is just a bit too long. They could cut some parts of the movie and it will still makes sense 
Everything is a very typical adventure movie. So cliche 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: A very enjoyable movie but pacing needs work 

The Simpsons Season 36

The only thing that is constant every year

Homer: I think its the same thing over and over again. Homer is still my favorite character of the bunch. I think sometimes I emulate my parenting sytle following his style.

Marge & Maggie: There are two Marge episodes where it feature Marge. The season ender saw Marge pass away first 

Lisa: Lisa this season doesn't have anything notable. Lisa is always being Lisa. 

Bart: Bart wants to be a DJ. Bart copying Lisa. Bart in the future. Bart is always the resident bad boy but he has a great heart

Mountainhead

A stupid movie about stupid people 

What is it about?
4 ultra rich friends come to a friends house to catch up and makes deals 

The Good 
Nothing. This movie is just showing rich people doing rich things to benefit them all of them. Everything about this movie sounds so cringe 

The Bad
Everything. Even with the subplot of killing someone just to make a few billion dollars 

The Ugly
Why all rich people lack empathy. Because they are rich that is why 

After Credits: No

Verdict: Worse movie I seen this year. I thought it was a comedy. Watch succession, much better. 

Loki Season 2

Loki made the ultimate sacrifice 

Time is fractured: After the events of the previous season Loki and the gang try to figure out how to stop the timeline for overloading. This time Loki has a power to go whenever he wants 

An infinte loop: No matter how we look at it, they are going to return back to the start of story. Everything was already written on how they have solve it but as usual it will take them 6 episodes to figure it out 

Everyone backstory: Everyone from the TVA has their own backstory which was fun to watch. Plus the edition of a new character OB makes this season much more fun

My theory: My theory is that something bad will happen to Loki come Avengers Doomsday which will reset the timeline again 

Final Destination Bloodlines

The end of a very grusome franchise 

What is it about?
Like any Final Destination movie, this is about how you can't outrun Death 

The Good

The death are very grusome 
The story make sense here but not sure how it connected in the overall franchise

The Bad

Too many misdirections but that is part of the charm. 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: It is an okay movie if you like the franchise. 

Week 51: Went to my high school reunion

This week was a great week. I mean I got to my school reunion. My best friend still have money problems and I decide to help her but next year. I hope things will turn out better since I am running out of money eventually 

Dec 14

• This morning something was wrong with my internet. I can't access the teaching platform for 1 hour whihc cause me to loss 2 classes. I fought the cancellation and they gave me no penalty 

• Bought some nasi lemak for lunch with masak lemak 

• Did more classes in the evening 

Dec 15

• Today I made some seafood pasta. Wife didn't like it since it has salmon. I gave some to my neighbour 

• H1 didn't have to go to her dorm today. So I had to pick her up in the evening and then we went to the clinic 

Dec 16

• Today wife decided to work from home

• Send H1 to her scholarship event. Its a two day event where she needs to listen to them give a brefing before accepting the scholarhip. 

• H2 best friend is going to pick her up from school so I get to go to the Pharmacy to pick up wife medication 

• After that went to the mall to pick up something for wife and went to the uni for some lunch. 

• Came home and took a short nap

• In the evening head to the airport to pick up my best friend from Korea. Arrived at the airport, had dinner and send them to their hotel. Their baby girl is 4 and talks a lot now. 

• Got to talk to my best friend while going home.

Dec 17

• Wife drove herself today to work 

• After school pickup we went to the uni fair. H2 bought a lot of food. I ate some ayam gepuk. Which is was a mistake tomorrow 

• Cook some masak lemak. A bit spicy. 

Dec 18 (New Stuff) 

• Wife decided to take half day so we went to the mall and have some Kfry with H2. After that we just went around the mall to do some window shopping 

• The weather has been horrible lately due to the rain 

• I order a pair of prescription VR lenses for my meta quest 3 and it finally arrived. Now I can play VR without it looking blurry. So next year I think Vr is going to come back big 

• My friend came and pick up his Odin 3. I wish I could buy it but as of right now, I don't need it and I promise myself I will buy it once I am going to play ps2 games on it.

Dec 19

• Today cooked some fried potatoes. The secret is the chicken salt. That is the secret of a good fried potatoes. Other than that I bought some fried chicken and beef rendang as well 

• Pick up cleaner and did more classes 

• My best friend text me and guess what she needs. More money. This time is to get back her pawn gold for the pawn shop. Honestly I am being reluctant in giving her the money because this is useless. I did tell her give till next year. But we will see. I don't know how am I going to proceed with this friendship. 

• Send cleaner back close to 11pm. Sister in law came to stay since I need to send her to the airport on Sunday 

Dec 20 (Memorable)  

• After class I took a short nap since today I am going to my high school reunion. At first I was a bit reluctant to go but my close friend ask to go

• Arrived at the hotel at 12pm and sat a strategic corner where I can see everyone. Saw some guys and probably know one of them. I was the only person who didn't switch classes until high school so I am a ghost to everyone. No everyone knows me but there are some people who knows me I am happy they were there. 

• There was a lot of food considering we only paid 100. It turns there was a mysterious benefactor who put his own money out. We had fried rice, fried noodles, masak lemak daging, black pepper beef, dory fish, murtabak and dhal, veggies, salad bar, malay kuih, mushroom soup and bread, porridge, fried snacks and curry noodles.

• I mingle and talked to everyone I can find. One of my friends is a teacher in H2 school. How about that.  I made some new friends as well along the way. I didn't exchange numbers so we probably won't see each other anytime soon unless they are doing this every 5 years or something. 

• Got home close to 6:30pm and rest. I am not feeling that great it turns out I got a fever and sore throat. This is going to be a bad next week  

Next week will be H2 last day of school. Probably hang out with my best friend and send him back to the airport. Other than that probabaly help my father in law move. Last 2 weeks before the end of the year.

Loki Season 1

The most important MCU TV show 

What is it about? After the events of Avengers Endgame. Loki escape and is caught by the TVA. He is in charge of capturing another variant of him 

Asthetihcis: I like the shows theme and background. It looks old but it is modern. They use analog buttons but everything is digital. The orange and brown motif all around. 

Loki: There are a lot of differnt types of Loki and it is very interesting it to watched their interactions. I think the Loki is the best Loki of the bunch.

The stakes: This sets up the Mutliverse saga in a big way. The ending is a cliffhanger that would resolve in the 2nd season.
