3. Metroid Dread

It's been years since I've played a new Metroid game and this game delivered. It was fast paced. Non stop action and every enemy are so challenging that you'll end up dying again only to retry until you got it. Plus the visual are a great improvement from the handheld versions.

2. Forza Horizon 5

The game that I've been playing every day without fail. There is something about an open world racing game that makes Forza a class on its own. Couple with weekly challenges that makes racing a fun chore to do. Plus I love the Eliminator in which part I am getting super great at it.

1. Hades

My first game of the year of 2020 was the best game I've played in a long while. Hades is just super fun. Every time you die you get better at it. There are multiple combinations to choose from which makes no two runs are alike. To get the right ending you have to beat the game 10 times. This game is going to be on my switch forever and I will play it again sometime in the near future.

Every year I watch a lot of shows and this year is no different. The problem is I don't quite remember what I watched starting early of the year. So next year hoping it would be different.

(UN)MEMORABLE MOMENTS FOR 2021

2021 is more the less of the same. The only difference is that the pandemic is going strong and we really just do a lot of mundane stuff at home. But that doesn't mean that there are no sad moments.

• The constant saying goodbye and hello to my best friend. It complicated but I think we finally in our sweet spot. But every sad moment really hurts
• My wife and how she is struggling with depression. It hits her without any notice like a ton of bricks and it is very sad for me since I don't know what can I do to make it better
• My best friend leaving the country. WE don't talk that much but he was the only person that I was sad to see go. I hope one day I can come and visit 

MEMORABLE MOMENTS FOR 2021

• Being still friends with awesome people.
• Went for an awesome holiday with another family friend. It was a simple holiday in the city but we enjoyed every minute of it
• Lining up for a ps5. Really it was an experience that I wont forget

2021 New Year's Resolutions

1. Lose a couple more inches of my belly. (That didn't go as I planned. I actually gained a few more inches in my belly so that just sucky)

2. Blog at least one post a day (I did that. Every day I post something but this is not viable but it was a good experience)

3. Meet one of my online friends in real life (Yes I did. And it was super awesome)

4. Save another 15000 by December (I not only saved that much but I save 13 times that amount)

5. Keep the same prayer for the whole year (Yes I did)

2022 New Year's Resolutions

1. Lose 5kg by this year.

2. Save another 100k by end of the year

3. Buy a new handheld device

4. Finished Phase 1 of my retro gaming

5. 3 Vacations this year

Finally. I met my best friend and we are going in and out of this awesome friendship. I am going to say that is the most impactful moment of this year. She gave so much back to me and I couldn't repay her. I wish one day I get to see her in real life. But for now I will be happy to get to talk to her everyday. This is the friendship that I am going to cherish until the day I die so yeah. This is actually the start of something really beautiful.

And with that. 2020 is done and dusted. It was an awesome year with it shares of ups and downs and I can't wait for the adventure which is 2021. Ameen

Final Uno Match

For this Uno match we are doing it a bit different. We each put one final score where for each time we win, we get the point and each time we lose we will lose the point. 

So that was the point but for the 10th game we go all or not. I choose to go all my 22 points since I am not going to win anyway. So the girls want to do that as well. In the end it was H2 that won the game. With the win she gets to choose what I have to cook for the whole week I guess.

Weekly Review (Week 52)

 December 24 🥵😊

Today we are going back to my mom village. We arrive close to lunch was greeting my homecooked village food. The day was spend looking at the livestock, going fishing without catching any fish. The only downside of that place is that it is super hot. But at night it gets colder. The girls went to sleep at my cousin house because that house has air conditioning.

December 25 😊🥰

Today after breakfast and just hang out until it was time to go home. Had lunch. Saw some monkeys and then it's time to go home. The road back home was long because there were a couple of car crashes. Came home and hug the wife and bought some food outside. Played Forza at night and I called it a day.

Today my mom decided make some chicken curry and some fresh baked fish that we got from the village for lunch. The day is spend just hanging out and playing games. Nothing much is going on

We had a lot of leftover rice from yesterday so my mom decided to cook some fried rice. H2 had a play date with her friend who gave her an awesome gift. H1 got a gather with his friends to play ice skating and hang out at the mall. Me however have to go pick up the cleaners and become a chauffeur to everyone. Good day I guess.

December 28 😔😢

Today my mom and me are cooking some nasi lemak. It all went well until my mom said something hurtful to my wife. Which cause her to cry. I took the cleaner back home and take our cat baby back (haha baby back). Wife didn’t want eat with mom so I got her food and she ate alone with me

December 29 😞😊

Today a lot of cool things happen. I bought an RTX 3070ti with a egpu. Send the car to be fixed. Cooked some steamed with potato egg salad. In the evening I went out with wife. She bought a coffee maker. My best friend passed her exam and another is expecting a baby. Wife is still upset with my mom

December 30 😞😊

Today I decided to cook some fish curry and it was delicious. In the evening I made some pratha bread to go with fish curry. Other than that the day is just like any other day. Mom is still being pissed off by me.

December 31😞😊

The last day of the year. So today I went for friday prayers and in the evening we went to the vet for patches. It turns out that patches has some ear infection and just by giving some drop he will be okay. The doctor told me that it was panic situation to move 14 cats to avoid the flood. After that we went to see my father in law. We had a good talk and he praise me for being awesome... The final uno game and the winner is H2. Spend the last hour talking to my best friend.

The Good
This movie and title doesn't make sense but the story is interesting to warrant a watch
Angelina Jolie is great in this role

The Bad
We don't know what is it about
The title wasn't for Angie character. She is just a side character

In the end you don't know what actually happen to the characters of the story

Verdict: It was okay. Can be skipped

 This is a movie in an alternate timeline 

What is it about?
Before the Justice League, the Flash travel in time to help in the war

Action is great
Due to a lot of confusing moments it takes a while to get used to the characters not knowing each other

There is no end.

Weekly Review (Week 50)

December 17 😊🥰

Today I made some pasta with red sauce. The thing is the new packet of pasta had bugs in it. I don’t know why. The day was spend doing the usual stuff. My eyes still hurt but hopefully the medicine will make it better. It didn’t stop raining 

December 18 😊🥰

Rain has been going on close to 36 hours. Today we are watching Spider-Man No Way Home. The movie was amazing. We had lunch at the Korean place and dinner we bought some bread. I talked to my best friend. My mom is here now but she decided to stay with her friend today. The rain was so bad that now most part of the state is flooded. Very worrying. I did some laundry before going to sleep. 

December 19 😊🥰

Today I decided to go to the groceries early in the morning in case the rain hasn’t stopped. I can get some supplies in. I cooked some chicken rice and we had that for lunch. Dinner my mom in law came and I had cook some extra egg with it. The day was spend sleeping and playing games and watching tv. The rained eventually stopped close to night time. My best friend called me from Finland and we ended up talking for an hour. 

December 20 😊😣

Today for lunch we had McDonald’s. In the evening I pick up my mom and she cook dinner for us. The day was spent playing games and watching tv. The rain finally stopped but the aftermath was devastating. 

December 21 😊😞

Today I bought some food for lunch to add with the leftover we had yesterday. My wife is not feeling well. She is upset that we had to go back to my mom village this Friday. It’s just another normal day. I almost pulled the plug on a graphic card and an external case. But due to an error on my part the credit card wasn’t charge and I didn’t pull the plug. That’s probably God’s way of telling me to save the money. 

December 22 😊😞

Today my mom ask me to buy some fish so she can cook that. We had lunch and dinner with some seafood Me and wife are still having a fight and she is upset that I am going. On the plus side the rain has stopped and everybody is picking up the pieces of the aftermath.

December 23 😊🥰

Today my mom is fasting so I cook some pesto for the girls. I think I overcook some pesto since there was a lot of it. But it's okay. My girls love pesto. Since we are going back to the village tomorrow. I went to get my car filled up and the tires check. Bought some supplies for the girls and then just went home. At night finish watching the last two episodes of Hawkeye.   

Godzilla vs Kong

This movie is just a mindless monster mash

 

What is it about?
Two monsters fight it out to see who is the king 

The Good
The monster fights are slow and you actually can see the action 

The Bad
Everything else. Subplots are dumb. The premise of the movie doesn't make any sense.
The characters from the last movie are there and serve to show continuity

Verdict: If you like monsters fighting. This is the movie for you  

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Another Call of duty game

What is it about?
The continuation of the first game where we see our heroes trying to stop WW3

What did I liked?
The story is okay I guess. The part where we are with the heroes are cool 
A lot of Call of Duty action set pieces. That I love 
Same Call of Duty gameplay 
There is a museum where you test all the weapons 

What I didn't liked?
The are a couple of mission where you are the infantry really sucks 
The story can get long winded 

Status: Finish the game until the end credits

Fun Factor: If you like Call of Duty. More of the same 

Overboard!

 A interactive story book

What is it about?
You killed your husband and now need to try to prove your innocence until your arrive 

What did I liked?
Multiple combinations on how you can finish the game 
To get the best ending you need to be at the right place at the right time 
Love the old timey music
You keep looping again and again 

What I didn't liked?
You only have 8 hours and sometimes you won't have enough time to finish the mission 
After a while you get frustrated trying to figure out what to do next

Status: Finish the game with no loose ends 

Fun Factor: Is an okay game. Quite enjoyable 

Uno game 65th, 66th and 67th

I am on a bad losing streak with 2 weeks to go.  H1 won twice which gives her the lead and H2 won once

This movie is not great 

What is it about?
Wonder Woman in the year 1984

The Good
The action is not bad 

The Bad
For a story about a superhero there isn't any superhero moment until the last 40 minutes
The story really is dumb. I really don't like the premise at all

The Ugly 
The bad guy is unmemorable. As well as the secondary bad guy

After Credits: Yes

Verdict: Don't watch this movie. Its' boring 

Spider-Man: No Way Home

This movie is amazing

What is it about?
Peter has to deal with everyone knowing his secret identity 

The Good
The movie itself is amazing. Not a moment wasted 
The action is great
A lot of fan service and callbacks to old movies
A special 2 minute cameo 
The ending wraps everything up but leaves the audience wanting more 

The Bad
Wish we can have more of the third act. I could watch a 3 hour movie of that
The ending still have a lot of unanswered questions 

The Ugly 
Nothing much 

After Credits: Yes. Two of them with the end being a trailer 

Verdict: Movie of the year for me. Best way to end a trilogy 

Weekly Review (Week 50)

December 10 😊🥰

Today I didn't want to cook since we had still the black beef from the day before. So I bought some food from the shop. It is Friday that means is Friday prayer time. Coming home the whole family went to the in laws to meet the two new cats. They are one white an one brown-ish. We had dinner there and then had some ice cream and go home. 

December 11 😊🥰

Today I made some fried rice from yesterday leftover rice.  After that we spend half the day cleaning the store and the kids room. We are finding some books, toys and clothes that are going be donated. In the evening we went to get some burgers. That night we all watched Shang Chi. It was not a bad movie. Ended the day with talking with my best friend. Overall it was a tiring day but good.

December 12 😊🥰

Today I am not cooking since it’s the weekend. So for lunch we just ate whatever we can find and for dinner I bought something outside. The day was spend playing games. I tried to play some halo on my pc and it worked for a while. Had fun doing that

Today I am cooking some chicken curry both for lunch and dinner. We played with the kittens. Played some games and it is a normal day for me. Pick up the cleaner at night

Almost at the end and it is getting hard. Cleaner came and I made some pasta carbonara for lunch and dinner.  As for me and the wife we went to the bank and the had lunch outside. She finally got her ATM card fixed and got two for the both of us. In the evening send back the cleaner home 

December 15 🥰😊

Today is the first day of the kids exams. So H1 had to wake up early since her paper is at 730 and H2 is at 930. My brother in law got married and my wife was sad that she didn't get the pictures from the family. The air cond repairman came and fixed all the airconds. We got a new aircond for the room and the room is now much more colder. I cooked english breakfast for lunch and for dinner I made some beef soup. There was a lot of beef soup so I gave some to my mother in law. It was a great day today. 

December 16 😭😓

Today I decided to make some fried chicken to eat with the soup. The kids has their second paper and it went well. My eyes hurt so I decided to go to the clinic and it turns out I have an eye infection. I need to take medicine on my eye for 3 times a day. I hate stuff that goes in my eye. Had to go to the clinic at night. Went back home and went to sleep.

The Good
This movie really hits you inside. There are a lot of subtle messages that relate to my own life
There are some funny bits 
The movie really will leave you guessing what happens in the end

No idea what happens to the character after the end

Verdict: One of the best movies I saw this year

Creed II

A great redemption story 

What is it about?
Creed has been challenge from Rocky's past enemy 

The Good
The story is face paced. 
The fight is so dramatic where each blow is felt by the audience 

The Bad
The side story is irrelavent since there is no fallout after that 
What happen to Rocky after the end 

The Ugly
Nothing much

Verdict: Awesome sequel 

Little Nightmares

This is a weird game 

Game no: 441
Genre: Puzzle
Platform: Nintendo Switch  
Release Date: 2017

What is about?
A kid trapped in a cruise boat with flesh eating monsters

What I liked about it?
The gameplay is simple when you know what to do.
The story is scary at first but after that it was a bit disgusting 

What I didn't liked?
I didn't understand the story. Well part of the story.
Some of the puzzle you can't quiet figure it out. IT is a lot of trial and error

Status: Finish the game until the end credits

Fun Factor: It is an ok game

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

A new hero enters the ring 

What is it about?
A guy who knows kung fun needs to stop his did from releasing evil 

The Good
The comedy is great and not too overbearing 
The martial arts is just awesome. The bus scene is amazing 
The special guest start from the past movie makes an appearance which ties it all together 

The Bad
The rings are great but they didn't explain why it changes colour (it turns out it is just for show)
The final fight was a bit cgi barf fest

The Ugly

Nothing much

Verdict: A fun marvel movie.
