How to blog when you’re not sad
It’s not I’m having writers block or anything. Lately I’m in a very good place in my life. I’m more happier and I smile more... I rarely think about the problems of hand and try my best to fix them if I can. I usually blog when I’m feeling lonely, depressed or sad... but when you are neither of that is kinda hard to get in a mood of blogging... whoever is reading this I want to say thank you for making my life more meaningful... you are breathtaking

It was a good day until
So today was a great day. Woke up late. Kids were behaving. We went for another Eid open house. Ate good food and then send the kids to my mom in law. Wife wants a new Apple Watch series 4 due the fact that it can be use underwater. I was asking her to get the series 3 since that it provides the same waterproof function. But the heart wants what the heart wants... Wait... back up a bit. Before going to get the Apple Watch, her mom wants us to take her around the city for her errands. Wife said no (if she said yes, I would say no as well) . Well what happen is her mom sulk and didn’t want to talk to her... I hate this emotional blackmail 💩 that old people use. To top it all off my eldest made some remark that cause my wife to snapped. So here we are back home and my wife is in a bad mood. 😔

The kids in the neighborhood
So in my neighborhood there are a couple of kids that are around my age. But I am only good friends with two. First there is the girl next next door. Since she lives two doors after my house. What can I say about her... She is short and sweet. Very Chinese looking... we both like to hang out together doing kids stuff (kids during out time we don't have the internet or youtube. Smartphones weren't invented yet so we end out just playing like normal kids) We played a lot in the streets, watch a lot of tv and just talk about kids stuff... Another friend lives a couple of houses away. We both just clicked well with each other. He is a basketball freak. He likes shoes and is quite tall. Her mom loves inviting me over for dinner sometimes. He does however have a lot of brothers and sister which I find interesting since he is the eldest and always shouting at them. So that's the story about my neighbourhood... There are a couple more memories but I'll save it for next time

I’m back
The whole family is back from Australia after a year. I basically miss the whole of year 3. I got a lot of catching up to do... not to worry... I think I can cope 😅. The only issue I have in going back to school is that I can speak their native language that well. So I look like the odd one out... but kids are a forgiving bunch (high school kids are a different matter). So they accepted that I am not a local. I was an ok student in school. Not that smart but not that dumb either. Mom was busy working so she really doesn’t have time to check out homework. I so don’t remember anything much so this will probably be the last post involving my school. So see you on the next post
My best friend is coming to visit me
Well this deserve a journal entry since it goes to show you that 1) you’re never to old to meet new friends and 2) if you be honest and true.. you’ll develop a connection with them that would extend the friendship... so as I said my best friend from Scotland is coming down to visit me with her son. I’m so excited and actually touched that this friendship has come to that level. Granted the cost of coming down here is much cheaper than the cost of me going up there... but she is coming down to see me... that’s my friends with what we call friendship...I’m happy. If anyone who reads this and is still trying to find the one true friend. Just know that he/she is out there somewhere... it will take you 1 day or a lifetime to find... but when you do... don’t let go... work on it.

Australia
I’ve told you that most of my 7-12 years are jumbled up memories... so I am here to tell you about the time I went to the land down under... Australia. I think the year was 1993. I was 9 and my mom got an offer to continue her studies there for 9 months. So rather than leaving us with dad, she decided to bring us along.
What do I remember about Australia...
- My primary school was awesome. Didn’t remember the teachers and friends at all... the only memory I had was getting punished by the principal 😅
- Mom brought us lunches that we seldom eat...
- There was a potluck one day at school and mom brought home cooked curry... the problem is he got the curry powder from back home so the recipe can’t be replicated by anyone
- Visiting the Sydney opera house... we lived in New South Wales...
- Seeing a Koala
And that’s about it. Which sucks since we did spend 9 months and I remembered almost bits and pieces... we had to go back to our visa only last for 9 months. So that’s one of our stunts going abroad. It won’t be my last time living abroad

I’m in a good part of my life right now
Remember when I said that I blog when I’m in a plane place... Well it turns out that I am currently in a good space in my life right now. Sure there are issues but I try not to think that as a crutch... I’m currently happy with the current situation. I have a steady stream of friends who talk to me. I am loved by people who I care about, what more can I ask for... so does that mean this blog will see less entries? Hopefully not... it is still therapeutic so I’ll still be writing this from time to time.
I just remembered a funny story
Welcome back... it’s been a while since I’ve told a old story... I suddenly remembered an old story from way back when since it’s Eid and it relates a lot to this... So my mom insisted that my grandpa comes lives with us... grandpa reluctantly agrees but he wants my mom to pick him up fro his house. This was before we have highways and it was a lot of trunk roads (I think I’ve mention this before). So when went on an 9 hour hour back to our home my grandpa really need to go number 2... (That’s pooping for those of you not in the know) Since there were no public toilet for miles and miles my mom decided to stop at a bush beside the road... my grandpa went in for 30 mins and did his business... After that we made our way back on the road... An hour later my grandad yelled... we have to turned back!!!.... why???.... I left my glasses.... 😅😅😅. So my mom made a 180 and turned back to the spot. The only problem is he didn’t remember where he put the glasses so we all spend close to 1 hour looking for them... finally we saw them on a tree rather than on the ground.... good times good times

Free Solo
Why would anyone do this is far beyond me.
What is it about?
The story about Alex Hammond and how he successfully climb the El Cap mountain (3000 feet) without the help of any support tools
Why should you watch it?
You only should watch this if you like to see someone do crazy death defying event.
How is Alex rewired to do this. He lacks any fear in his brain... it’s quite interesting
What shouldn’t you watch it?
It’s really cringe worthy... seeing someone risking their life for entertainment is not fun
Did you know?
This guy is rich by just climbing

I love going back to the hometown
I totally get the farm life (village life) life is stress free... the sounds of the birds can be heard a far... chickens clicking around... it’s just all a good time. Plus the people here are extra friendly which is extra nice... it’s added bonus that they also have WiFi 🤣🤣🤣. Another day of travelling back to the city... please don’t let it be 5 hours 😰😰

Eid is here
So after a month of fasting in Ramadan. It’s time to celebrate in Eid. What is Eid... it is a celebration where we give thanks that we manage to complete 30 days of fasting. So what does mean for me... it’s means my waistline will go up.... I’ve already gained 5lbs one the first day and probably another 5 later... don’t worry... this will make me be more determine to lose it all... the kids are happy due to the fact they get to eat a lot of great food and get packets of money. As for me, I hate the jam... there is going to be a lot of jam going back to our hometown

I felt crappy..
You know some memories are just there gnawing at you like a worm. This is one of them. My mom used to have a friend who was in the same predicament as her. Moving from the old state to the new state. So they developed a certain kind of friendship... she was a single mother as well with 4 kids. They were good friends with us... we usually hang out with them at least 2 to 3 times a week. Well the oldest kid who was the same age as my brother I think had an awesome Transformer... hold up... before I continue let me explain what is a Transformer is... a transformer is a toy that can transform into a robot... girls won’t find that interesting but for boys that’s the coolest shit ever... a transforming car (well they do come in different sizes and shapes, I also have a couple but not as cool as this)... intermission done and now back to the story. What made his Transformer cool is actually one robot that transform into 6 different other stuff (picture below... look at it... how the heck that’s not cool... tell me) ok back to the story... so I was playing with the toy in airplane mode... I went outside of the house an accidentally dropped it.... the wing broke and my friend was angry.... I cried because he was angry plus I was scared that I broke something expensive... I think I cried for a couple of days before I finally calm down... things with him didn’t became any better... oh well 😔😔
It’s time to move...
My mom was on a quest to find a new permanent home for us... probably somewhere close by the her workplace. So after months of searching she finally found a house that is 5 minutes from her office. It was a good neighborhood with mostly people who holds a professional job. It was a two storey house but it in a corner lot. It is surrounded with trees all around it. We were just glad we are moving somewhere where we didn’t get sand in our feet. Also there a couple kids in the neighborhood so it would be cool to try to get some new friends... overall this house will be our place where we call home. Eventually mom got enough money to buy the house... but for now we are just renting...

My friend who I treat like a brother
On today’s profiles on my friends... I’m going to tell a story on how that you’re never too old to meet someone. The year was 2006, my wife couldn’t go out that much due to her pregnancy and she was bored. This is way before I became the connoisseur of online entertainment... so what is a guy to do to get something to watch... head through the local forums. She really wanted to watch Stargate SG-1 (it’s a classic if you love Science Fiction) so I message a random person on the forums asking if I could pay to get the show (streaming didn’t exist yet kids... so you either copy the files from your hard disk or make a dvd (🤦♀️ Yes I am old) copy. So this guy agreed to meet me and just gave me a copy of the show... he was rather nice about it. That probably was the start of a beautiful friendship. We slowly started talking to each other and it turns out that he and me has a lot in common. But the first 5 years of the relationship he usually fights a lot with me (it turns out he just say what he wants to say and either people will accept or will just stay further away)... it turns out I am ok on his harsh tones and words... in the end I just like his company
Fast forward in the future and we’ve been friends for a good 13 years. I’ve seen him at his lowest point and at his highest point... I’ve seen him happy and I’ve seen him sad... even though his is older than me by 7 years... he still respect my opinions.. I miss him a lot... he is currently working in Korea (by the time of this post) with his fiancé (which I’m ok with... as long she makes him happy l... most of the time). The thing is we rarely hangout but we know a lot about each other. Thanks for being my friend.

Grandpa came to live with us (Part 1)
Being the youngest out of 9 siblings, my mom felt hit was her responsibility to take care of her dad (or grandpa). So we invited him over to live with us in the house. Grandpa was a farmer... he was used to waking up early and doing field work. The problem is, we didn’t live in a farm... so there is not much things he can do... eventually grandpa got bored since there is nothing much he could do. He did play with us from time to time but he was not the hands on type. Our landlord was an old man... he came from time to time to checked up on the property... usually he just stop for 5 minutes but he just met my grandpa and they instantly click... this is where it got weird... since the landlord talks in his dialect (which is very complicated to understand) and my grandpa talked in his dialect (which is also difficult to understand unless you were part of the state). Luckily for me and my brother we both understand both languages easily...
Me: “mom I think there is something wrong with both grandpa and his friend”
Mom: “what’s wrong?, they are talking at the front”
Me: “yes they are but they are not talking to each other”
Mom came in front and went back and started laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Since both of them are talking different dialects... they don’t understand each other. So in the end my grandpa was talking about his cows and ducks in the farm and the landlord was talking about life in the state... basically both of them were not even paying attention to one another... oh well
Grandpa stayed with us for 3 months before wanting to go back... but it’s not the end of the story.

My mom... cat killer
This one sad but let’s face it... it was bound to happen. Remember I said that the house is filled with sand and the stray cats use it as a big giant little box. Sometimes they were doing their business while my mom is reversing in the driveway... so you can guess what happens... pancake cats...😰. My mom is usually devastated... my question is why didn’t the cat move away (but the I really I understand, who wants to move will doing no 2)... I think she killed around 3 cats over the years when we were there...Finally after the 3rd cat my mom said “screw it, it’s time for us to move” and that as you guess is... it’s a story for some other time

Find pockets of happiness
Life gets you down, sometimes things doesn’t line up the way you want too. So try to find pockets of happiness wherever you can... may it be playing a game, watching a movie or talking to a friend... these pockets of happiness are the things that separate yourself from having crappy day... If you can’t find the pockets... look back at yourself and see if there is anything that can make you happy... peace out guys... love yourself before loving others
I am not an orphan... or am I?
Being raised with a single mom does suck sometimes. We get to see my friends with their dads and some of their dads looks like fun people... but when they get it a beating it can hurt a lot 🤣🤣. So this story is a funny one. The school has a special fund for orphans (for them orphans are considered kids without a dad since in this culture a dad is the provider of the house and when you don’t have a dad money can be tight) I was called to the teachers office one day and was presented my an envelope of money... the teacher say it was school money and if I want anything else... being the kid that I was I remember is never question when you get free money. I didn’t even ask why they gave it to me... all I know is... 💰 💰 I’m rich baby...and being that dumb kid that I was... I didn’t tell my mom... After a couple of weeks I was called again and I got some food...is not money but hey free food... most of them were raw materials so I had to give them to my mom. Mom said... “why are you getting this” and I said “I dunno”... the next day mom went to the school and ask the teacher I was given a bag of food... the teacher explain that they understand raising two kids alone was hard and the school does everything to make sure to take care of the orphans... (wait wait wait... hold up a minute... did you say orphans 🤯) the teacher say “yes”. My mom say where did you get that idea... it turns out that my brother (bless him) who was one year older and in a different class told his class teacher he was an orphan... well logically it’s true-ish 🤣🤣. We don’t have a dad... my mom was so embarrassed... and told the teachers we are not orphans... they are just kids of divorce... My mom gladly paid for the stuff and apparently they snitch that I got money so she had to pay for that too... back home my brother and me got a mouthful and we got to learn a new word “divorce”...
The day my mom forgot it was a holiday
This state is a weird state while most of the states, they are some holidays that is only for this state and my mom didn’t get the memo. We went to religious classes from 2-6pm almost every day. That day my mom drop of us and left us... we found out school was close... so rather than wait 4 hours for her, we decided to be like that two dogs and cats from that movie the incredible journey. We decided to track back home... home was a good 13km away (around 8 miles). Having small legs didn’t help. It’s a good thing that there were no freeways... so we walked down the street... I think we’ve walked Until it was close to 530pm. When we came back home we were drench in sweat. My mom was so sorry and bath both of us together. This was a time before cellphones kids... you know that thing you listen to your music and chat with your friends. It was a simpler time... but something good came out of it... mom started giving us allowance 🤣🤣. It’s probably to make a call on a payphone (🤦♀️ What’s a payphone?... oh my god... you girls)

The Phantom of the Opera
Not to be confused with the very successful play. But i remember or tried to forget that I was Ina bad accident. I was playing around my bicycle outside of the house and the pavement was all rocky. I tripped and landed face first on the rocks... I can feel my face was all covered with rocks. Half of my face was bleeding non stop. My mom rushed me to the hospital but the damage was done. Half of my face was just skin... exactly like the Phantom (kids you need to google what is the Phantom of the Opera). The only thing I don’t have is a big theatre to hide on. Life goes on for me and that means I still need to face the people. Kids can be so mean... 😢. They look and tease me from a far. I think I was like this for a good 2 years of my life. Eventually as all wounds may it be physical or from your heart, it heals. I do look good I can say... people who know me can testify to that 🤣🤣🤣. Ok that’s about it...
Ok this is where things get muddy
Well as far as memories go... I don’t remember anything from 7-12 properly. I mean I do remember events and bits and pieces but I don’t remember how old I was, where it happen... the little details. I’ll write down as much I can before I forget for good. I have a feeling it will I eventually
Let’s start with school... what do I remember at school... I remember it sucks... I don’t have that many friends. I usually spend my recess alone. I do remember that... I remember I wore shorts while others wear long pants... I was 4 ft 3 inch for the whole of primary school. I was the shortest kid in school. I begged my mom for some long pants but she never wants to let me have them. Sadly I don’t have any friends from primary school that I am friends until now... it’s probably for the best. I couldn’t speak their language that well...

I am falling apart?
Am I changing... well that’s what my wife says... I’ve been more snappy at her and is easily irritated. Well for a person who is very much on the extrovert end I find it unnerving. I hate this feeling of anger and hate... I love to be happy all the time... I need to take it one day at a time... I don’t think I can control any outside factors. But I can control myself... remember before you want to get angry... remember the people that make you happy... you’ll be fine

Events that happen in May
Another month has passed and there are a lot of things that happen. The best thing the whole month is finding a friend who clicked with me in every way. It was fun having someone to talk to on a daily basis. Losing weight has been great so far. I went on a date night with my wife. Dress all fancy and we stuffed ourselves like turkeys. Although we regret nothing... I eventually regretted everything 🤣🤣. We send our helper back home for good so right now I am in charge of the house. All the cooking, cleaning, washing and the kids fall under my responsibility. I got to say I have to utmost respect of housewives... their job is tiring... too tiring 😔. Wife got the only bronze medal for her university. That was funny and yet a proud moment as well. Seeing Scotland and all it’s glory... love the castles and the forests... hopefully one day I get to go there. The kittens are getting better and bigger but they still haven’t mastered the art of the poo 😅. I’ll end up cleaning all the shit. Ramadan has started which means the all of us are fasting. My youngest also wanted to join in the fun. She was promised $1.50 a day for everyday she completed it... She managed to do a good 15 days after we realised that she lost 15lbs as well... so her mom said... “you look like a twig, fasting is cancelled”. Got to know something called “period soup” 🤣🤣🤣. Epically hilarious... I’ve made lasagna for the first time and it was a hit... well the kids will just gobble up anything. The kittens developed a fungus so they required to be boarded up for a week. Made $200 for talking for 2 hours. Basically I went into a market research group. They were planning to launch a new line of appliance and they wanted all the housewives feedback (well I was the only guy). The next day they came and done a site visit to my house. A kitten died on the house ceiling and it cause the whole house to smell of a dead body. We’ve been living with my wife’s mom for the past 3 weeks (such a riot 😌). The next week after that we heard sounds of kittens and it turns out 2 little cuties were trapped on the ceiling. Had to call the fire department and they eventually manage to bring them down. My oldest surprised her best friend on her birthday with cake and all... so I think it’s not the kids who loses touch with their friends... it’s their parents... since kids can’t drive to see them... We planned to make their friendship everlasting. Send my best friend a care package of spices from home... it finally arrived. She sent something to me as well... it still haven’t arrived 🤣🤣🤣. Oh well... £18 goes a long way... it will get here eventually. Met a couple of new Reddit friends but that didn’t last. Usually died after the second day. It’s hard to establish a good connection with someone. We found a two week old kitten who was on the verge of dying. My daughter nurse it to health only to let it die after 3 days. She was declared and so were we. That’s why I don’t like having pets... Finally... my best friend came to visit and he is all better... (mentally depressed) we ate a lot of food and we had ice cream in the evening.
May is a awesome month... like the n’sync song says “It’s gonna be May”

Welcome to (insert state here)
Continuation of part 2. I can’t tell which state I finally landed to due to the fact I don’t want my ass whooped by the locals over. They are everywhere 🤣🤣. So finally we’ve arrive to this state. What can I say about this state
1) Everyone here mastered the art of invincibility. They will cross the road without looking left or right. So if you hit them, you’ll be in for a serious lawsuit.
2) While there are many local delicacies in the state, they all share one common trait that our family hates. Every dish will have sugar it in... even curry... why do you put a tablespoon of sugar in curry 😰. Over the years this state has become the most people infected with diabetes.
3) They don’t speak the national language. Well they do but in their dialect... in their dialect doesn’t even resemble the actual word...
4) there are more but finally this is the most important thing. They hate outsiders (which I was going to learn the hard way... yes yes more on that later)
So my mom rented a house that was 15 minutes drive (which is considered far since the whole town can be traverse in less than 40 minutes) It was a two storey house with a smaller house in the compound (kinda of like a warehouse)... the whole floor was covered with sand which in turn became the worlds biggest kitty litter 🤣🤣. The furniture arrived faster than us so by the time we arrive everything was already in its place... Since I was 6, this change doesn’t mean anything much to me. I didn’t have any attachment to my old state. So probably what’s the worse that could happen...

I’m sorry my sweet sweet daughter
I’m sorry dear for letting you grow up so fast.
I’m sorry that you had to experience death at a young age.
I’m sorry that you are always stressed out.
I’m sorry that you can’t talk to me.
I hope that you be strong and happy.
I hope you find someone out there to love you like I do.
I hope you can take things easy one day.
I love you so much dear
