What is it about?
Nintendo has rework the Legend of Zelda formula where you are free to do anything in the game until the final boss battle.

What did I do?
This game is amazing. The things I did from start till the final confrontation with Ganon are
- Visited 96 out of 120 Shrines
- Climb all of the towers to uncover the full map
- Hunt a lot of animals
- Gather a lot of herbs and fruits
- Cut trees
- Make a campfire
- Swim and Fish
- Cooked a lot of food
- Find a lot of arrows bows and swords
- Do a lot of side quest
- Find the master sword and master shield
- Defeated all the Devine Beast
- Snowboarding
- Parasailing
- Fought a couple of easy bosses (cyclops with one eye)
- Found 40 out of 900!!! korok seeds (or I should say poop)
- Rode a horse, bear and deer
- Fought a lot of enemies
- Got snow, rubber, lava, heat, ninja, climbing and original blue clothes
- Got full stamina
- Climb every mountain

What did I didn't do?
(These are things I didn't do that I found from watch youtube)
- Fought a Lynel and some stone bosses
- Capture and tame a horse from the stables (I walked most of the way)
- Found all clothing
- Vistied 24 more shrines (most of these are shrines are quests)
- Bought a house
- Farm rupees
- Found a warp medallion
- Explore Hyrule Castle
- Find legendary ingredients
- Get full hearts

What I liked?
- The game doesn't have a set of rules to follow. You can go anywhere you can see in the map. Which is awesome. Discovering new areas with different objectives is really fun
- Climbing anywhere (as long you have enough stamina) is fun. It never gets old and it does require you to plan you climb, especially if you fall down a gorge and you have to climb up
- The story is nice, I can see what motivated link to go and beat ganon.
- Some shrines are cleverly design. Even fighting in the shrines are fun
- Paragliding is fun and shooting an arrow in slow is awesome
- The sheikah slate provides a certain strategy in handling the land. Unlimited bombs are awesome
- Fast travel is great but walking any seeing the sights is better
- Each of the clothing response differently for the environment

What I dislike?
- The weather elements. Rain makes it harder to climb. Thunder just make you into a target due to the metal you are holding
- Some weapons are useless against bosses. The bosses are downright hard
- The blood moon that respawn enemies. Which I didn't like since sometimes I just want to explore the world
- The fact that there are not waypoints proves very difficult in navigating Hyrule.
- Collecting 10 fire lizards (that was a chore)
- Fighting the Guardians is damn difficult
- Dying a lot (but you get to start it again right away

Overall: This game can be finished in 1 hour or 100 hours. No matter what, you will have a great time doing it. Nintendo managed to make a Zelda game that anybody can pick up and play (This is my second Zelda that I've actually won). I felt that I already experience what the game is offering to me and I don't need to 100% it (unlike Mario Odyssey). I probably won't revisit Hyrule again anytime soon. Probably in a couple of years and I also am not keen to buy the DLC is anyway

Status: Finish the game with
- 21 hearts (out of 27)
- Full 3 circle of stamina
- Conquer the 4 Divine Beasts
- Finish the main quest
- 100 Normal Arrows, 80+ Fire, Shock, Bomb, Ice and 10 Guardians Arrows

Fun Factor: Spectacular. If you have a Switch this is a must play game. Take your time, enjoy the view

Last week was not a good week

No idea why last week I was not in the mood for a lot of stuff. Probably it’s because I was in a rut and I haven’t played games in a long while.  Hopefully this week will turn out better

Week 11

1) got a scare that my neck was hurting - DOWN

2) Didn’t do anything much today - DOWN

3) Today is not a good day for  me, reevaluating my life choices. Wife officially pass her Phd - DOWN

4) Saw my supervisors, needs extensive correction - DOWN

5) Went to the hospital for wife and kid - UP

6) Woke up early and went for a walk. Met up with old friends for lunch and dinner - UP

7) Watch a movie - UP

Pacific Rim Uprising

This movie is going to be big in China

What is it about:

10 years after the first movie, a new generation of pilots comes to fold

What’s good: 

Robots fighting robots. 

Kaiju fighting robots.

Ending fight in an iconic city

What’s bad:

The plot is a bit on the small budget scale. Not sure why the monsters only come out at the last minute

There are more questions than answers 

The ending is left to be desirable 

What’s ugly:

Why does shooting lasers in the sea open the breach? 

Why did the precursors motive to conquer earth?

10 years and only 5 jeagers? So that’s 2 per year. Kind of sloppy 

After credits: A short tease for the next movie 

Verdict: Great popcorn movie but the first one was better 

Annihilation

This movie is too smart for me 😂

What is it about?

A group of scientist goes inside an alien dome to discover the mystery behind it 

What’s good:

The story is not bad. 

Effects were good

What’s bad:

I don’t get most the story

The ending is a head scratcher 

There are somethings in the story that doesn’t make sense 

What’s ugly:

Is there a reason why they couldn’t go by helicopter?

What was the purpose of the alien coming to earth?

After credit: No

Verdict: This is a Netflix movie, so just watch and and be done. Not that good of a movie 

Last week was a doozy

Last week was not a good week on my account. I still haven’t don’t any work relating to my masters which kind of sucks and I had a severe case of food poisoning. I had a high fever and was spewing everywhere. I think I didn’t play any Zelda at all for this week. Which is kind of sad... But hey at least I got a brand spanking new phone

Week 11

1) I got an iPhone 8 and wife got iPhone X. 256gb for both - UP

2) Send my scholarships application. Still haven’t done any work - DOWN 

3) Did some work, nothing eventful happen- UP

4) Friend was his masters defense, made my will - UP

5) Sick, temperature 38.5, vomiting and weak. Possibly bad tuna in sushi- DOWN

6) Recovering - DOWN

7) Mom is here, body is 85% - UP

More down than up

Last week was the best week of all. After close to 9 years, my wife finally completed her PhD with a little more minor corrections. So we are going to graduation this July. Other than that we are planning to change both of our iPhones due to the fact that is already been 4 years

1) She was in a bad mood the whole day, so it didn't make my day - DOWN

2) SHE PASSED HER PHD - UP

3) Did nothing much which is kind of a bummer - DOWN

4) Went all over the uni to settle my scholarship application - DOWN

5) Wife played hookie, went to a fair, bought a fridge - UP

6) Went for another home fair and family day in the morning. Had a great day overall - UP

7) Killed my phone - DOWN

Hit and a miss

Week 9 start out good but ended with some bad moods. Oh well you can't win them all. On the other note, Russel Peters was awesome. There were a lot of dirty jokes this time around and I think he ended his set a bit early since it was only 1 hour 15 minutes.

Week 9

1) Brought kids to the hosp, visit a friend in the evening, too tired, got an offer for the house (finally) - UP
2) went to the office and did a little bit of work , SOLD THE HOUSE- UP
3) Did nothing much just play more zelda - UP
4) Bring the cat for a checkup, rained in the evening - UP
5) Watched Russel Peters with great friends. It was freaking awesome - UP
6) Went the hold day house shopping, was so tired till we came home in the evening, damage was 4000 - DOWN
7) Had lunch with extended family, at night wife broke pc - DOWN

Game Night

It's been a while there is a smart comedy like this one

What is it about? 

A group of friends who loves game night are in for an adventure when a night turns upside down 

The good:

Pacing is good and characters are memorable.

The comedy is in good timing and there are no slapstick moments

Love the aerial shorts, they made it look like game pieces. 

Even the creepy guy is also funny here

Lots of movie references

The bad: 

There was a scene where everyone was not together 

The story is all over but it sticks the landing 

The ugly:

Nothing 

After credits: There is one after credit at the end of the movie. Nothing special 

Verdict: A great comedic movie. Enjoyable till the end
