Day 124: This was a surprise

So the trilogy ends today. As you all know I was having issues with my new colleague. Since yesterday my HR lady defended me. Today after lunch I got a text with the upper management. She wanted to see me ASAP. So in my mind I was already thinking that, there goes my future and I am dead. But to my surprise, she wanted to apologize on behalf of her staff and told me that, its not the way to talk a person (that person is me). I said that I should be the one who apologize since I felt that I was not competent enough to do the work. She then said that everything comes with experience. Experience is very important in this line of work. I was happy that everything was settled. I did  my work and went home at 9pm. I told everyone that I am indisposed this weekend. So I'll do my work remotely. The best part is my boss who had my back about my harassing with the staff...

Day 123: I take it back

Today is a hectic day. Non stop work from the moment I land at the office until I left at 8pm. The client manager that was being a jerk to me was still being a jerk. In retrospect I think I kind of deserve it since I was not giving it 100%. I turn to my HR just to vent but in the end it backfired since the HR ask her to back off on me. After that she text me and we cleared out a few things . So all it good till tomorrow comes 

Day 122: This new girl is a bruha

Well techncially something that rhymes with that. I get that the older you are the more that you are you don't accept change. But to make everyone follow what you want and not adapt is just plain idiotic. I get that person wants it a certain way but it just will waste resources. Man... Some people can't understand common logic. Can't wait till next week. Another 2 more days... Keep calm and just carry on

Day 121: The boss is out of town

Which means that I'm free... We'll sort of. There is a lot of things to do. The best part is I get go home whenever I want. I'm bringing work to home so I will try to finish it tonight. Tomorrow is another free and easy day. Today my cat died... So kinda sad... He was buried this morning 

Day 120: Tender Linking Good

Another week, another set of challenges This time the challenge comes with chasing a tender. to top it all off, my boss won't be here for 3 days so that means... freedom... and unsupervised work. Which always worries me. I'm not that worried. AS long I have a game plan in my head. Everything should fall according to plan. Got to finish everything this Friday... So here hoping all goes well. And on a side note... pay is back... woo hoo

Day 119: Half day coz of the haze

Today it's going to be short. Came to the office. Get all my stuff in order and left before lunch since had a family emergency... Nuff said

Day 118: An interesting lunch

Today I decided to have lunch with my other friends. My chinese friends then bring me to eat all vegetarian chinese cuisine. So I had brown rice with a lot of veggies. I was then interviewed with one of my head of department. It was fun... Overall good day. Tomorrow is Friday 

Day 117: The Key to greatness is the willingness to learn

So today had a lot of work that I really don't know what to do about it. Good thing the client manager I was working with purposely ask me to do it. She said take it as a learning experience. The more you do, means the more you learn and the more you learn, the more you understand what to do. Basically some Yoda stuff... Well, you know...  I love the challenge. But today was also an uneventful day. Nothing out of the norm to report... Can't wait for what tomorrow is in store.

Day 116: An average day

First I got smack for doing something wrong. Which I really don't mind. After that I submitted what I needed to be done. Probably going to get smacked tomorrow. A couple of meetings that really are not going anywhere and lunch which wasn't that much fun. The haze is getting really bad. Not sure about going out tomorrow

Day 115: Man... Non stop of meetings

After coming to the office at 10am. It was meeting after meeting and after meeting. The gaps between the meetings were short so I didn't have time to get a proper lunch. A bit hungry now. There are a lot of things due and tomorrow is another day. Hopefully tomorrow's meeting won't be as long

Lego 21302: The Big Bang Theory

This is my first Lego post. So rather than giving a review like all the famous websites and YouTubes. I'm just going to say why I think this set rocks

As you can see all of our favorite characters are represented in this set. The right side of the set is a bit barren. They should put more stuff in there

They are enjoying chinese takeout but they only have enough for 2. Probably is family style

As you can see from the left. There are a lot of extra pieces. They are a lot of kitchen utensils but I'm not sure where to put it.

The bookshelf is detailed. Stuff included is a telescope, a rocket, green latern lamp, and a couple of balls...

Awesome whiteboard...

This set is awesome. Good build but there are a lot of small pieces... No score for lego. If you have lego is considered 5/5 everytime

The Good:

- Gameplay is extremely difficult but very satisfying 

- Precise controls 

- The feeling of finish a level after dying multiple times 

The Bad:

- Dying multiple times

- Rage quitting

- Saw, glass, laser, missiles 

Status: Finished the meat boy part of the game. Rescue cotton girl. Unlock cotton girl stage but it's too hard for my blood

Day 114: The meetings are never on time

Work as usual. Went to get some stuff at the computer shop. They said that I walked very fast since it took me 30 mins to get to and fro. My internal company meeting should start at 3 but instead it starts at 4 and ended close to 515. Really need to get it early. Let me try getting it in the morning next time 

Day 113: Had lunch with my best friend

Today at work I was visited by my longtime friend from Johor. He was on long leave so he decided to drop by for lunch and also drop my lego. So we had lunch with two other colleagues of ours. (Backstory: my best friend used to work at the same company a couple years back. Only those who stayed longer than 5 years will know him, which is not that many) . So there we were. Then the girl ask me how come we are best friends

Me: because I can tolerate his bullshit and he can tolerate mine. So we work together.

I kinda of think is my laid back personality. The lunch went on till 230 after that my teammate got a call from our boss saying that he was late for a meeting...  

In other news, the government decided to hike up the highway toll rates. So it's not an extra $4 coming and going to work. Sigh...

Day 112: Another great day not at the office

Yesterday went to the same meeting again but a different agenda. After that I decided to work from home. Was not in the mood to go to the office after this. Today is a public holiday so tomorrow I have to be back in the office. Well all good things comes to an end eventually 

Day 111: Great day not at the office

Started the morning yesterday with a meeting at 10. Came back home had a bath and another meeting near my house at 2. That meeting was supposed to be an hour but I dragged on until 6. I had had it with the meeting so I left at 539 since I need to be somewhere else. Today I have another meeting. Let's see how that turns out 

Day 110: It's 630 and I'm still in the office

I am supposed to go for an internal team meeting at 345. But due to my bosses schedule and how extremely busy he is. The meeting has not start yet. I wonder if he would cancel the meeting at let me go early... (let's see... pause update) (update the next day) it turns out that I couldn't go early. The meeting started at 645. He said it was going to be short and sweet. It took an hour as well...😂. Probably that is short and sweet for him. Now in the meeting we have new roles to fill. Apparently I got stuck with the short straw and have to learn something that everyone says is damn tedious. But hey... At least it's something. Weekend today. Yay

Day 109: Got my confirmation... Sort of

Yesterday my boss called me in for my confirmation notice. Among the things that he said to me was

- still not sure about the job scope.

- probably sinfonia me up for more responsibilities 

Well my boss is awesome so I have no complain about that. I also love working here. My confirmation won't be official until the end of the month. Since I need to wait for the ceo to get back. Today is Friday... woot. Man the office is cold

Day 108: Got schooled

Today was business as usual. For lunch one of our colleagues took us out for lunch. After that they started asking me is "big management" is part of my job scope. I said it wasn't. They then gave me some schooling where I like to avoid work when it is given to me. Rather than being defensive I just took it with stride. They do gave me some positive notes where I am good with books and I learn very fast. Well we see how it goes from there. I'm all cool either way. Hopefully tomorrow I get my confirmation letter.

- level designer is good but I don't have the chops or patience to design a good level

Day 107: Awesome day of doing some work

Today work was until lunch time after that I was free. So I did more knowledge enhancement which is always good since its great to learn about new things... Well that's about it. Very uneventful. Oh yeah, a friend of mine gave me a fridge magnet from England (where she just got back from vacation). Which was sweet...

Day 106: How long?

How long will it take until I'll be bored and ask my boss for some actual work. He looks like he is busy so I don't want to bother him. I'm going through some knowledge management stuff so all is good. I'm not yet dying of boredom yet

The Martian

Saw this yesterday and I can say it was awesome. It's like cast away but set it up in space. Unlike cast away, Mark Watley (Matt Damon) does not talk to a talking volleyball and everyone from earth know where he is. The issue is trying to figure out how to get it home. This movie is very thrilling that it gives me chest pains trying to see if Mark didn't die. The thing is if the movie was a simple plot where he manages to stay alive until they can send the supplies would be too boring. Instead they make fubar after fubar of situations and see if he could overcome it. Great movie. Probably my contender of movie of the year.

Day 105: Something wired is happening

As you can see from the picture above this is the view that I experienced the whole day today. People were BASE jumping off the massive tower and landing in the middle of the city. My colleagues told me that this was a yearly event. It must have been since it started from 8 till 5 and it didn't stop. My guess is that it's the same group of people going over and over again. Today at work i mellowed down. Everything was due and I had nothing to do. Ask my boss if I could leave early and he said yes (awesome boss) and now the weekend is upon us. Probably going to see a movie

Day 104: The haze is getting bad

Since our neighboring country  is conducting open burning. The whole city center is experiencing very bad haze. Visibility is very low and it doesn't look that healthy. Good thing that every evening there are massive amounts of rain coming down the city. Yesterday's work was good... Just the right amount of work and slack...
